I would avoid this guy at all costs. He installed some doors for me and he did a good job. During…read morethat time I got to know him, or so I thought. When he was working on one door I mentioned that in the future I had a fence job in the backyard. I showed it to him and he gave me a quote. I told him I would let him know. A couple months later he knocked on my door out of the blue. He had a sob story about his family and he said he needed to work bad. He lowered the quote for the fence from $800 to $550 including materials. Since the price was right, and he was desperate, and I had taken a liking to him, I decided to get the job done. Victor collected my money and I never saw him again. It pains me to write this and I have held off long enough to see that I will never see the money and the job is not getting done. Now he did do some work, he set some posts, and he painted a part of the fence. He came by and collected some more of the money, and said he would come back to finish the job. Then one day he called while parked in front of the house, (he didn't know I was home) and he hung up and drove off before I could pick up, and when I called him right back he didn't answer. When he did answer an hour later, I asked him "why didn't you pick up the phone when I called you back" he said "Oh I was already on the freeway." Wrong, it would have taken longer to get on the freeway. I never saw or heard from him again. The job is not complete and I didn't even ask for this. That was a snake move, and I feel obligated to let people know about him so this won't happen to you. Do not trust this guy, you've been warned.

Handy Hutch is the kind of contractor you hope exists -- and almost never find. He didn't just "do…read morea job" at my house... he genuinely came through for me when I was physically and cognitively incapable of managing repairs on my own. My ceiling needed repair because another contractor failed to install equipment properly and left me dealing with the aftermath. Hutch stepped in, handled it the right way, and the finished result looks amazing. What impressed me most is that he didn't treat it like a quick patch or a cosmetic cover-up -- he repaired it correctly, with craftsmanship you can see and feel. His communication was constant and professional from day one. He told me exactly what he was going to do, when he was going to do it, and then executed it exactly as promised. No disappearing, no vague timelines, no runaround -- just reliability and real skill. And here's the part that sets him apart from everyone else: he still checks in to this day to make sure I'm completely satisfied. He lets me know he's here anytime I need him, and you can tell he truly stands behind his work and cares about his customers as people. He's a pillar in the community, a great guy, and someone who builds real relationships -- customer service on a level that's rare anymore. If you need general contractor work done on your home and you want it done right the first time, hire Handy Hutch. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.
