One could either purchase the tickets from the bus driver or buy online the day before. I suggest getting tickets ahead as it speeds up the line. The tour wound 15 miles around Lyon. A tip is to get off at the Roman ruins or the Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourviere. Buses are between 40-60 minutes and so there is plent my of time to visit these two sites. There are also toilettes at the Basilica's nearby cafe and gift shop. There are only two more stops after the Basilica and then you're back at Place Bellecour. The bus was a better option than taking the funicular from Vieux Lyon or hiking up/down.

He took the time to explain the winemaking process, show us the machines used, the storage area, etc. Vincent drove us by the worlds most beautiful vineyards and ended up at his very own wine shop which he opened a couple of years ago, during Covid people. We opted for the full day Beaujolais tour on a 2018 visit and our group of 7 people visited three excellent wineries showing different aspects of Beaujolais. Lunch was great as well, with excellent food on a beautiful outdoor patio space and an opportunity to get to know your group a little better. Next year, we'll be back for the Rhone tour if Vincent hasn't jetted off yet to make wine somewhere else in the world. You're likely to find a good number of Americans on this tour and people with all levels of wine knowledge, but Vincent does a great job of making the experience fun for everyone. I wouldn't want to maneuver his van around Lyon traffic all the time but he does it with aplomb. You'll be picked up outside your lodging, then dropped back off at the end of the day, likely with some wine to take home. After all, that's how the wineries make money so it's good courtesy to buy a couple of your favorite bottles at each stop. I absolutely adored everything about the M Gallery Carlton hotel. I loved it so much, it will now…read morebe my go-to hotel whenever I visit Lyon! The location is fantastic, in a safe and bustling area with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants within quick and easy walking distance. Public transportation, live theater, and other local attractions are within a 5 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. With just 80 rooms, the hotel feel very intimate although it's part of the Accor chain. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, which can be hit or miss in France. I truly felt like they were happy to have me as a guest. The rooms, while on the small side, felt very luxurious and was modern and looked brand new. I loved the artsy vibe and the dark red and black color scheme felt oh so French. It quickly became my very favorite hotel room of the many I stayed in during a 3 week jaunt through the country. I especially loved the free wifi and high quality bed linens, and little touches like lighted vanity mirrors and plush robes made me feel spoiled! My room even had a mini wrought iron balcony that was the perfect setting for sipping wine in the evening. I hate to share the secret of this hotel, but it is a fantastic property! Stay here if you are in Lyon, you won't be disappointed!

It is truly hard to imagine a more enjoyable motorcycling environment than what I found - beautiful, curvy mountain roads in every direction. Traffic was light. The weather was perfect. I rode for about eight hours each day and I feel like every portion was a thrill. It's hard to pick which part was the best - so many contenders! It's motorcycle heaven. I was really impressed with Mike's service. Originally I had planned to merely rent a bike (the BMW F800 GT) and do a self-guided tour, but I am so thankful that Mike showed me around. I am sure I wouldn't have been nearly as ambitious without his knowledge of the area - and that made all the difference. He brought the bike out to my hotel and also helped me get to the bus station on my way out. He really went the extra mile in every way to make sure my trip was smooth. The bike was in great shape and was fun to ride. I also rented a jacket and helmet, which was really nice to be able to do instead of having to pack my own. My only regret is that I didn't have more time to stay! The next time I visit Grenoble I will definitely be contacting M2 once again.

At 1 pm I arrive in a Wednesday and still close in the same way, and now I am a bit in hurry the next day my bus is leaving, so besides deciding to try the next day I also decided to contact them online and by phone. On phone no one ever answered means online they answered me the first two question related to printing the ticket, the question about cancelling or changing they totally ignored it. At the end of this horrible experiences I tried again the day my bus was leaving and it was close, again, and I lost the money I pay for the ticket and heap, they had not reply yet. This is bad service, use the train instead .

I would say this tour is best for those with some wine knowledge as they delve deep into the history and geography of the region. The focus is on education rather than guzzling a lot of wine. We visited a private cellar that represented many producers and had an introduction to what the region makes. After that, you'll see beautiful countryside, as well as the most expensive vineyard in the world (€15K/bottle!!). Then a stop in Beaune for lunch (on your own) and on to a woman owned winery to delve deep into the difference terroir makes in wine. Our guide Paul was incredibly knowledgeable about the region and wine in general. I would probably have wished for another winery stop versus lots of driving but ultimately I learned a ton and really enjoyed it!
