Wow what an amazing experience! Olivier was an amazing guide and we had a wonderful time visiting various Medieval towns and wineries. The first winery was a small family affair and the owner served us our wine and spoke extensively about the varieties he produces. It was intimate and educational. The conversations with Olivier were interesting and informative through the trip. The lunch spot was amazing and so affordable! Despite the rainy weather we had a blast. We never take tours like this and we were so pleased with the entire experience. When we return to Lyon we look forward to taking another tour with Olivier! The most memorable day of a three week trip to France. We went right into the vineyard, picked and tasted grapes right off the vine, watched grapes being processed and tasted wine with the owner. Oliver helped with reservations in advance and led a small group of us on an informative and beautiful tour of Beaujolais. I 100% recommend Kanpai. read more

Had an absolutely amazing time with Olivier Delalande and Kanpai Tourisme this summer. Booked a Saturday all-day wine tour to the Beaujolais wine region and the village of Perouges online. It was a small tour with 8 people max, so it's definitely best to make reservations early. We met in front of the Lyon Tourism center near Place Bellecour and Olivier drove us in his van to Oingt and then the vineyard for the day (Dominique Guillard). He speaks English as well as French, so it was great to have the tour in my native language. I understand some French, but I definitely would have struggled. The wine was delicious. Just amazing, and it's so much cheaper than the United States. I bought a couple bottles after we sampled about 4-5 wines, and they were perhaps 6 euros a bottle on average? We then went to a nearby village for lunch, which was around 18 euros on average for a couple plates. After that, we drove to the medieval town of Perouges and did a bit of walking around the village. The villages were very pretty, and Olivier was a great and informative guide. They offered to schedule a walking tour which I already scheduled with another on trip advisor and the river cruise boat tour for the next day. I used the card for transportation to the Basilica Fourviere on the hill taking the Funicular both ways. I tried to go to the Miniature Museum by it was only half price. Another museum only offered a small discount. I did not go to any other museums because I didn't see any while walking around. I did take the river cruise. So overall it wasn't worth purchasing.
