It's an old railway station and the walls are filled with old vintage railway paraphernalia; everything that accounts for it being "cute" and "quaint". The food is very good. We only got some baguettes and chips so nothing ground breaking (hence the 4 stars) but it certainly hit the spot after wandering around in the fresh air of the forest. I highly recommend the Twice-Cooked Sleeper Chips. They're fantastic! My husband had a cappuccino and he gave it a thumbs up (I don't drink coffee so you'll have to take his word for it). We also got some carrot cake and a piece of Millionaire's Shortbread to-go. We ate them later that afternoon and again: delicious! I suggest going and maybe trying something more interesting than the egg mayo baguette I ordered. While very tasty, they've got loads of other delicious sounding dishes on the menu such as gourmet burgers, free range omelettes and full English breakfasts. My whole family is coming over next year to visit the UK and my husband and I soundly decided that we will be bringing them out to the Station House so they can enjoy a truly English dining experience out in the very picturesque New Forest.

This place was snuggled in the middle on town - and it was here that I had some of the BEST clotted cream tea ever! The service was excellent, this place was very quaint and clean, and there's an outside patio too. Before arriving here we had sampled clotted cream tea at a few other places, but when we tried it here it was excellent - a cut above the rest. The quality was superb. This is quite a big barge and seats about 20 people comfortably, offering a great range of cream teas, sandwiches, breakfasts and drinks. A little quaint, traditional barge tea shop. The cups and saucers are just fabulous and the coffee mugs are varied - all adding to the variety and experience of this wonderful place. The tea is served in leaf form so you have your own strainer, which is really cool! I opted for a full breakfast today which was just right! Unfortunately they had ran out of bacon but I got an extra sausage for that! Locally sourced food which was cooked perfectly from the kitchen you can see at the end of the barge. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, offering their advice and explaining the food options as well. The service was excellent and relaxed. The most important part of finishing the meal is the separation of the bill, especially in a group. However they offered to spilt this and each of us pay separately, this worked great! Overall, this is place is highly recommended for anytime of the day, relaxing on the Thames, in wonderful surroundings, watching the swans swim by.

They offer a wide variety of GLUTEN FREE options for both meals and baked goods. And everything (with or without gluten) was phenomenal! The staff/owners went above and beyond to accommodate my daughter to the point it brought a tear to my eye. They genuinely made us all feel very welcome and treated us as if we were valued family. The outdoor garden space is so peaceful and beautiful. A must stop for everyone!
