I had two screens on my windows in my home that both needed an overhaul, I was so sick of looking at them. I brought them into Lyndale Glass and found out they could just put new screens on my old frames. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. She gave me a quote and said it would be two weeks until they could get to them. Less than a week later they called me and said the screens were ready, and the price was under the quote, how often does that happen these days? I am so happy with my window screens, I am going to bring them two more next month. We have also had Lyndale Glass replace windows in our home in the past and they did a fantastic job. If you have ugly, torn window screens on your house I would highly recommend taking them to Lyndale Glass, it's an inexpensive home improvement project. read more

Over all their customer service well in short sucks. Most of all them even asking how old your house is. If it is Pre-1980 call someone else oh they will come out give you a quote on the windows but they will not install if there is any lead paint. Funny every other place i called that install windows will install them it just cost a little more. Downside my wife was the one that was here, if i was home would of told him well then there is the road get going. From what i gather the guy was very rude and just didn't want to be there. This company will make you pay for their mistakes. They will not listen to you when you. The cut you off as you try to explain the situation. They have horrible customer service. They do not respect deadlines that you may have. I would give them minus five it it were possible. read more

I want to give two-thumbs-up to Lyndale Glass in Mount Vernon....I had an old ratty dresser that I fixed up and stenciled....I wanted to have a piece of glass cut to fit the top to protect the artwork....only problem was that the very front was curved. I had gotten a quote from another glass place and it was nearly three times the amount Lyndale Glass did it for....and they did a stellar job! The glass they cut matched my template perfectly....I received a call telling me I could pick up the glass on the day they said it would be finished....and they even loaded it into my car for me. They have Everything, Sliding windows, Great Solar Tubes, Skylights, Screens.. What they do NOT have are employees that care... We flip and Upgrade homes and always and use local companies whenever possible...We ordered some screens and sliding screens from the Mt. Vernon Location, the person that did the measuring re-scheduled by a week, ok we can live with that. In the meantime our Kitchen decorator picked some solar tube lights and some skylights. The Measuring person said the screens would be delivered on Monday....About 10 days...After 10 days I called, the girl said, Ok the screens can be delivered in 2 weeks?? What the screens are sitting at the store, but with all the employees you cant deliver and install for 10 days? Nope Sorry she said. I asked for a manager. Mike I think...He said Sorry you are supposed to pick up the screens....(we own a car that wont fit the sliding screens), I said that's Bullshit, we were told they would be delivered YESTERDAY...... He said, Watch your language or ill just cancel your order...CANCEL the ORDER, so let me get this right....A Business person would rather sit on Custom made products than satisfy the client that they entered into a contract with..... Nope..we will NOT be ordering the skylights, solar tubes or ANY other products from these Ingrates. Big Box stores that care...here we come. After telling the "Manager" about the "Contract" we entered into with Lyndale Glass to do the work, Somehow they were able to deliver the screens. Imagine that. read more

The windows are great. The installation was ok, there were a couple windows that should not have been installed due to rot in addition to the one they didn't install. We were told they would caulk the windows after the siding repairs when they returned to install the last window. They did not caulk the windows. Some of the other windows were not properly caulked. We called to request they come back out and complete the job. Never called, never showed up to caulk the windows. Poor customer service! I expected this level of customer service from a big box store, not a local company. Save money and go to Lowes. read more

I am taking a creative engineering class with my daughter and our second project in the class involved having several mirrors cut to a specific size. After watching several different tutorials about cutting glass mirrors, I purchased a mirror and all the tools needed to cut it and proceeded to attempt to cut the glass. I went through the entire mirror with not one single successful cut on the mirror. I was so frustrated but realized there clearly is a technique to this process and needed to hire a professional for this job. I called several different glass companies in the Skagit County area. "Guru Glass" was the only one who called back, but they took 2 days to get back to me with only a partial estimate. I called several other glass companies, a few of them "Google" even said specialized in cut mirrors, only to find out that they didn't do that sort of thing. Most of those companies referred me to Lyndale Glass. So, I called Lyndale Glass in Mount Vernon. They took my call right away and worked with me on my limited budget for the project, not only that... they had all 7 mirrors I needed cut within just a few hours! Everyone was so friendly and communicative and the price was very reasonable! They showed genuine interest in my project! I came home and attempted to use the mirrors with my project, all the mirrors were cut PERFECTLY to the specifications I requested and even carefully packaged (so I wouldn't cut myself as I didn't request any beveling to remove the sharp edges, though that was an option). Unfortunately the mirrors were too small because I measured incorrectly for my project (UGH) and realized that this mistake was going to cost me $$. I called Lyndale Glass the next day and explained how I had made the mistake and asked if I could place a new order of 7 mirrors cut to the new "correct" measurements. The person said that he didn't have a glass cutter coming in that day but they would get back to me about that. I received a call only an hour or two later saying that a glass cutter came in and was going to try to get my project in. A couple hours after that I received a follow-up call saying that the mirrors were ready to be picked up. I explained how it was my mistake with the measurements and asked what it was going to cost, the person explained that there was no problem. She asked that I simply return the first set of cut mirrors and that they wouldn't charge me for my mistake! I couldn't believe this! I was so shocked. Everyone was so friendly. I went over and exchanged the mirrors with them! It is a rare thing to find a company like this. The second set of mirrors are working perfectly for my project. Don't waste your time with other glass companies who are just brokers that farm their work out to someone else. If you're in Skagit County, the place to go for cut glass in Lyndale Glass in Mount Vernon. The bottom line is though, you can't beat this type of customer service. If I ever need ANY kind of glass work done, I'm going to Lyndale Glass first. I make too many mistakes too often, but this time... by choosing this company, I did it RIGHT. read more

I took three new, white, kitchen cabinet doors in to have glass installed in them. The turn around time was great. However, all of the doors now have small scratches on them - very disappointing. They also had dirty hand/finger prints all over the woodwork. I certainly will not go back there for anything. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They refused to schedule us for an install after we paid for the full install service. The first window they installed had a huge scratch in it, paid to receive the second one and they didn't seem to care for our business. read more

They charged a similar rate to any other place around town but the quality was worse because my glass came with paint drippings on it that had to be razored off. Also, all glass cutting has to be done via advance order, nothing in-store, and definitely nothing same-day. I get it, that's okay, but if you call up and ask them about their stock for pickup that day, they never mention the whole advance order thing, so my first visit was a frustrating big waste of time. Why didn't they just say that over the phone? I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

I called and was told they got held up in a different location and could they re-schedule for the next day. I was promised a firm time and again they never came. Not a good way to do business.
