I spoke with the agent on the phone, I believe his name was Clifton, and told him that I would not…read morerenew my policy because I was not satisfied with the service. He did not tell me that I needed to take any additional steps for the cancellation, so I understood that I had completed everything necessary. After that, I received the email, what I found particularly disappointing was the tone of the email. I felt that I was being unnecessarily pressured to sign a release form, and the wording of the email made it sound as though I was causing difficulties for them. It came across as if I were the problem, when I was simply following through on my decision not to renew the policy. I believe the agency should review how its staff communicate with customers and ensure that they have the proper knowledge and training. The agent I spoke with on the phone was not professional and seemed inexperienced, and the email I received felt dismissive. My overall experience with the agency, including a previous situation which was unable to assist me with my request or provide a solution, has been disappointing. That is the reason I chose not to continue with this agency. I was not satisfied with the communication, professionalism, or customer service I experienced. At this point, I do not wish to receive any further calls or emails. Please respect my request and do not contact me again.

If you're looking for home/condo insurance, I highly recommend you compare what this office quotes…read moreyou with AAA Insurance. I was led to believe that it's nearly impossible to get a home/condo policy in CA, which I don't doubt is true, depending on which insurance company you're dealing with. Without doing any comparison shopping, as I've been with Farmers for years, I took their word for this. Yes, Farmers appears to be pulling out of property insurance in CA. By working with them, to get a condo policy, I ended up with a very expensive and poorly administered 3rd party policy. When I initially purchased the policy, errors occurred that caused me to not be covered (which I was unaware of at the time, as no one at this office notified me). This led to a lengthy reinstatement process that was stressful and time consuming. All difficulties I've had with this policy are explained away as I'm lucky to get anyone to provide me with condo insurance, so I'm supposed to feel fortunate and put up with the extremely slow communication/customer service and high cost. Come to find out, AAA is not having these same issues. I recently did a price comparison for my auto policy, and discovered that they also offer seamless condo coverage at a very affordable price. I switched both my auto and condo insurance on the same day, 12/11. I notified Farmers and my auto policy was cancelled and reimbursed within the week (different agent, office). As for working with this office for the condo insurance cancellation, I'm being told that as of 12/20, the 3rd party has not yet responded. As with everything else regarding this pain in the neck policy, I have no idea how long this will take. This has really been a terrible experience.
