Great little store inside the the gas station . The food counter was the best part of our stop the day went pulled in for a gas fill up. The same lady that checked us out was the food counter order taker. She also juggled a phone that rang constantly while we were there. She deserved a shout out for the fast, Friendly and efficient customer service! The food counter was busy. Apparently anyone in the area can tell you the food here is the secret to this place. We ordered 2 egg sandwiches and they were delicious. Absolutely delicious. So good I'd almost consider coming back to eat but we live in Charlotte and it's just not in my nature to drive that far for breakfast! If you're in the area I'd say definitely stop ! I'm not sure how this place is still in business. Just now got $20 in gas, which only gave me 2 gallons. The clerk said that was accurate, but upon talking to others, it's known not to go there anymore. The pump went so fast that you could barely see the numbers as you were pumping. I hate to leave a negative review for any small business, but this is straight-up fraudulent. read more

Ate here thinking it was a home style place. It is a gas station with 8 tables. Food was ok, coffee was adequate. Not high class or even middle class. You better be hungry read more

The man that works behind the register(I BELIEVE HE IS THE CO-OWNER) is rude every time I call in and when I pick up. When the customer is the only one saying things like "hello" and "thank you" there's a problem. The last time I was there picking up food, there was a young woman who came in with approximately 10 lottery tickets and asked him if he would check them behind the counter, there were no other people in the store besides her and myself and I had already been helped. He told her "no". I couldn't believe it!! So rude! And he really didn't check them for her. I sat there and watched her scan SLOWLY all of her tickets, the one behind the register is much faster. When she was finished she had him give her the money which was a couple hundred dollars and she left. I saw her in the parking lot, she was headed across the street to buy $200 in lottery tickets. She didn't want to give them her business, can't say I blame her...lol read more

I was out in the boonies and figured I'd swing by and try out a S Carolina hole in the wall. My sausage dog was topped with coleslaw, an invention that I think is fairly gross, usually runny and nauseatingly sweet. But this coleslaw was savory and somewhat dry, much better than I expected. A good, solid hot dog. Had I not already had a drink I'd had loved to try one of the fruit smoothies. They had a couple exotic flavors that sounded just wonderful. This review is for the gas pumps only. Their pumps never, and I mean NEVER print receipts. You always have to go inside to get your receipt. ++I realize there are many worse problems in the world and this may come across as a petty complaint but if your business is gasoline, your dad gum receipts should print at the pump. The fact that it is an ongoing issue (years) means they don't care to fix. I only go here when I am running low on gas and don't want to risk driving to QT or similar. Oh, they do have a location without much competition so you can understand why their gas prices tend to be 5 to 10 cents more per gallon than QT at the bridge or in Newport. read more

I've been eating at LyLy's for over 3 years and it is by far my favorite place to get breakfast (best food and value you will find!) and their lunch is quite good as well. Everything is fresh off the grill and my over medium eggs are perfect every time. The burgers, Philly cheesesteaks (the bread is perfect!), and shrimp PoBoys are all delicious. The sweet tea is also really good (with the standard free refills). You really can't go wrong with this place! If you're passing by and you're hungry, I highly recommend that you stop in and try it. LyLy's is a rare find. Tremendous food disguised as a gas station grill. Breakfast is extremely well priced, fresh cooked and made precisely to order. I lived less than five miles from this place for years and never tried them- now they are my go to place for take out breakfast. Where else would you get an entire breakfast cooked in less than ten minutes just like grandma would make (except at grandma's house?) Give it a try- you won't be sorry. This place is really quite fantastic for a gas station. The staff there are so friendly. The food is good, fast, cheap...but yet "homemade"-ish. They also have some craft beer from Charleston..to go of course. Pretty cool place overall. read more
