This place serves Syrian food and is new so it needs a lot of improvements and here is an honest…read morereview of my experience. I went there with my wife and kids on a weekend afternoon, the place was not crowded but it had around 4-5 tables. The location is not really ideal and it is in an industrial area but I thought I should give it a chance as a friend of mine told me about it. Atmosphere: it is a family friendly place and the decor is nice, if you are with kids then you are on the safe side (parents know what I mean). With a Syrian style / traditional atmosphere and wonderful traditional Syrian music that sets a beautiful mood. Food: it was really nice and tasted, some plates were wonderful however I would have preferred if some other plates were a bit bigger compared to the price. I guess the dishes were very tasty that we wanted more. I have tried a lot of Arabic restaurants and I can honestly say that this is a place that would be in the "Top 10" list. Value / Money: as mentioned before some plates would be better if they were bigger... but in general it is a little bit over priced, however the food is tasty and it balances things. Service: this is the only reason that I did not give the place a 5-star rating. The server was very friendly and nice, however the overall service was slow, we waited a bit for the menus, for the food and for the bread (which was not as fresh as I hoped it would be) I would definitely go back again there and I hope I would update my review then. I surely hope it would have a 5star service and again the portions should be slightly more. I would recommend it

My brother and I split dinner choices when planning our trip to Montreal; Le Petit Alep was one of…read morehis choices, as he saw it in the Michelin Guide and wanted to check it out. The menu and vibe looked good, so we made dinner plans here our second night in the city. Le Petit Alep is located close to the Petite-Italie section of Montreal. When we arrived we actually went into the wrong restaurant - Le Petit Alep is on the left, and then Restaurant Alep is on the right. We were told that they're owned by the same people and share a kitchen, but are two separate restaurants - oops. Anyway, once we found our way we were seated promptly. The dining room was tastefully decorated, with warm colors that gave it an eclectic feel without being overwhelming. There was also a good amount of space so we weren't on top of each other. The menu is Middle Eastern - specifically Armenian and Syrian. It's broken up into different sections based on type of dish and size, though they also offer a tasting menu. We opted for a la carte, so our server explained how each dish was meant to be shared and gave recommendations based on our party size. We decided to get several dishes - métabal and mouhamara dips, spicy toshka grilled pita, Armenian sausage, and chiche kabab terbialy. We opted for dessert, and went with the cream stuffed atayef. Everything was delicious; I was particularly impressed with how well each dish was seasoned and the tenderness of the meats. It was hard for me to determine what was my favorite, but I would say the sausages and the grilled pita were the best if I had to choose. The atayef had the making to be heavy, but was surprisingly not and proved to be a great finisher. I really only scratched the surface here - the menu is really extensive so I feel you can make several trips and consistently try something new. Service was great, we leaned on our waiter to make some recommendations regarding the amount and combo of dishes to get and he really came through. Overall, I had a great experience at Le Petit Alep - definitely worth checking out.

I love the ambiance very chic it seems They're brand new and the place was spotless clean Service was superbe even with the language barrier I still managed to order what I wanted. They made sure I was happy and took very good care of me They make custom made Syrian pizzas and wraps I decided to go with whatever they recommended and it definitely did not disappoint! I tried 3 different pizzas boy did it taste delicious and fresh The cheese with tomato sauce was my favourite! Their spinach pizza was also delicious! The food just bursted with flavours cooked in a oven style. Their portions are quite large and generous!! 2.99 for a whole piece was amazing! I also got some homemade babaganoush and hummus very delicious Overall, they have lots of unique middle eastern foods and the food and service is excellent made with Love! I had a falafel wrap with all the fixings and fabulously crisp potatoes with garlic sauce as my chosen side, and my husband had the taouk (grilled chicken) wrap with tabouleh as his side. Both sandwiches had all the delicious fixings we selected. We shared a mango drink and bought a few things from the small grocery selection. We met the owners who were wonderful and generous and we left plenty full. Highly recommended for locals and those just traveling through!
