It's quite pathetic how many businesses in Wimberley just assume you're trash if you don't have a copious amount of disposable income at any given time. Would definitely recommend anyone else than Kays Alterations to actually provide decent customer service. Even to people who have spent their whole lives here.

Exceptional Service and Impeccable Tailoring…read more I recently had two suits tailored at Pearl's Alterations, including hemming, sleeve shortening, and bringing in the waist on the jackets. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. They did not require an appointment, were incredibly friendly over the phone, and maintained that same warm professionalism in person. The suits were ready on time and the quality of the work was outstanding--each adjustment was executed perfectly. Pricing was clearly communicated upfront, with no surprises. At pick-up, one suit required a minor adjustment. I mentioned I had a business trip the next day, and without hesitation, they made the alteration on the spot. That kind of responsiveness and customer care is rare and deeply appreciated. Above all, I can't stress enough how genuinely kind and helpful everyone at Pearl's was throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of quality tailoring and excellent service.

Was looking for a decent tailor near Randolph AFB and stumbled upon this little gem store. Called…read moreand check if they repaired zippers and tailors clothing and they did! The staff was very friendly and explained everything extremely well. They definitely "managed expectations" as we often quote in the AF and informed me how long the zipper repair would be; there is typically a 1 week wait-time because they're quite busy with all the work requests that they but since I was not in a hurry and have a spare to wear so I did not mind. After picking up my pants the following week, I have discovered that the wait was worth it. They repaired one of my favorite scrub pant's zippers seamlessly. The price they charge for services are extremely fair and reasonable. Though they weren't able to tailor the size of my winter jackets because the pockets were too close to the seam-line, they offered a DIY solution for free. What more can you ask for? Because of the helpful and friendly staff, quality work, and quick services, will definitely be returning for more of our tailoring needs. Keep up the great work DT Tailor!

I called last week to get a ballpark estimate on alterations for two suit jackets and four dress…read moreshirts. I explained what I needed, and the woman I spoke to (Sue) quoted around $25 per shirt and $35-$50 per jacket. She also mentioned it was their busy season and the turnaround time would be about three weeks, which I said was no problem. The following week, as agreed, I brought in the clothing. I stood at the front counter for several minutes before someone (her daughter, I assume) appeared. She didn't greet me or say anything--just looked at the clothes over my arm and let out an exaggerated sigh, as if I was burdening her with work. I greeted her and reminded her that I'd spoken with her mom the week before. She started pinning one of the jackets when Sue walked in. Like her daughter, she didn't greet me--just immediately started talking about me with her daughter: "What does he need? How many does he have? Did you give him a price?" Eventually, I introduced myself and reminded Sue we had spoken the previous week. Instead of continuing the fitting, she criticized me for bringing all the shirts in at once, saying I should've split the order into two trips. I told her I wasn't in a rush and that they could take their time--even a month was fine. Her response was that they didn't have time to pin every shirt, and when I suggested using one shirt as a template for the others, she didn't reply. Then came the new pricing: $110 per jacket--far above the initial estimate. I told her I've had the exact same alterations done on similar jackets before, usually at $40-$50 each. She cut me off, saying she doesn't negotiate. I clarified I wasn't negotiating, just sharing my previous experience, and she snapped, "Well maybe you should go to them and get them done then." At that point, I took my clothes and left. The attitude from both Sue and her daughter was dismissive and unwelcoming from start to finish. They seemed annoyed by the idea of actually doing business. Use them if you want, but I wouldn't recommend bringing in more than one or two items unless you want to be treated like an inconvenience.
