My friend recommended this place. Customer service was amazing. The day I brought my 5 blouses to have taken in, only on the waist, he took me in & measured. Told me it'll take a week. I went back picked them up & should have tried them on there but needed to pick up my dog. So when I got hm. I had to even check if it was even taken in. 4/5 blouses didn't seem like they even touched them. Took 1/2 an inch off. I needed about 2 inches taken in on each side. 1 shirt was taken in on the chest & now it's a tad bit tight. It was quite pricey per shirt. Now I'm left with shirts that cost way more than I bought them for & they need to be taken in. will not go back. read more

Horrible Customer Service. Took a pair pants to get the seam repaired. Whoever sowed the dress pants sowed part of the pant pocket shut. When I took them back the guy at the counter told me they didn't do it. I informed him that or course they did and to look at the opposite pocket to see it was also an open pocket. Then he asked me if I wanted him to remove the seam for an extra charge I told him I wasn't going to pay for a mistake they made. Finally, he didn't even have the common courtesy to use a seam ripper to take apart the the thread where they had mistakenly sown the pocket and nearly tore my pants when he used a razor blade to tear it apart. Needless to say I will not be coming back here ever again! read more

Shinn did an amazing job completely reworking my jumpsuit from Farm Rio. It was a just a week before my trip and I received my new jumpsuit. Even though it was in my typical size .....It would not button over my chest and was also too long. I went to see Shin and explained my dilemma. She hemmed the jumpsuit moving the cuff with special trims perfectly and with the extra fabric from the shortened pant, they pattern matched the side stripe piecing it under the arms so that it looked like a continuous line, looking like it was originally produced that way. I was delighted and very impressed. What an amazing job! She did all of this incredibly quickly and the fastest I've ever experienced, priced very fairly as well. Remember I was going on vacation in one week. I have included a picture of her excellent work and me wearing it on top of the Duomo in Milan on the rooftop tour. Terrible men's suit alterations. She is a very nice lady, but the alterations to my suit jackets are terrible. Now I have to pay my tailor in Houston to try and fix the mess she created (the back of my suit jackets have waves for surfing - one is really bad). Wow, I am shocked at how bad it looks and I wish I had abandoned the two Michael Kors suits rather than spent $130 on alterations. Now, I will pay another $100 plus to correct this disaster. If you need a simple hem in your pants or sleeves taken up, she's probably fine. Anything more, and you've been warned. read more

Recently, my mother in law was in need of having a blazer altered. Specifically, she was looking for the sleeves to be shortened. However, when she received the jacket back, the sleeves were uneven, and the back of the blazer had been altered as well. which wasn't needed. When she approached the front desk worker with her concerns, he basically told her nothing was wrong with it even though it's very obvious, the sleeves are different lengths and the lining of the jacket was gathered. He didn't offer any type of reimbursement or assistance. read more

I deleted my positive review entirely. My wedding is over, got my pictures back from the photographer and one of my dresses looks horrible in the back. For one thing Shin removed the clasps that close the zipper and didn't bother replacing them??? So it looks like my dress is slowly coming unzipped in the pictures...not something that I want to see and remember my day by. I will have to upload some pictures. I remember her saying one of the dresses was difficult to alter because it was a thick material. Well, thanks alot Shin.. We're giving this place a 4 because although the owner is very nice, we went to have the fitting for my husbands wedding shirt (it was hand made in the Philippines, delicate unique material, took 2.5 months to get to the US). We had very specific places where the owner would make the alterations. We had agreed exactly where she would alter and other areas she would NOT touch (we didn't even put any pins in those areas because we didn't want those spots altered). When we came back a week later my husband tried on the shirt and it did not fit - she had altered places on the shirt where we all specifically agreed together would NOT be touched (places we had not marked with pins beforehand bc they were not to be touched, at all). Cue pre-wedding mini heart attack. However, she said she would do her best to fix it; came back a week later and with some kind of magic sewing alteration sorcery, the shirt fit perfectly. So 4 stars for the mini heart attack, but then getting it fixed! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would!! I brought in my daughter's homecoming dress to have it taken in and a small piece of tulle taken off. She charged me 75 bucks, which I thought was quite expensive, but I paid for the service and left. I went to pick the dress up 7 days later only to see that NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE TO MY DAUGHTER'S DRESS!!! She claimed it was "too hard" to do but instead of her calling me and notifying me, she held onto the dress and I did not find out it was a problem until I got there! When I asked for my money back she claimed she could only offer me a store credit of $5 dollars!! What was I suppose to do with a $5 dollar store credit and an incomplete product???!! Please save yourself the headache, time and money! Go somewhere else if you are looking for quality work with good pricing because this place is not it!! read more

I knew I was at the right place when she immediately told me to put my dress shoes on to get measured (believe it or not, I've been to places where they just ask how many inches you want taken off, or measure you in your sneakers or socks). I had 3 items tailored to fit. The workmanship was superb and the clothes for perfectly. 2 were jumpsuits and one pair of pants. I'm a tall woman with long legs and trunk with a smaller waist, so it's tough to buy clothes online that fit. I spend alot of money buy a size up from tall shops and get them tailored to fit. I've used other tailors, but the difference is notable, plus they're really fast with excellent customer service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend and I will return. read more

I have had pants altered here before and they were done well and with a short turn around. I just dropped off a pair of pants for adjustment and a suit coat and another pair of pants for repairs, total cost was under $30 with a turn around of under a week. I don't like leaving negative reviews however my first experience here had me taken back and I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere in the future. I came in needing alterations for 2 pairs of jeans along with 4 shirts and my total came out to $140. That is the most ridiculous price I've ever paid for alterations especially for the service that was done. The only fair pricing was for the jeans which cost $10 per jean to be hemmed up. I was charged $15 to have the sleeves of my short sleeve shirt taken up two inches and an additional $15 per shirt to have the bottom shorten. $30 dollars a shirt was what I paid for them initially, and considering they were regular shirts and nothing fancy I am appalled and feel cheated. The same day alterations did not apply either, I took in my alterations on Monday and she wanted me to pick up my order the following Monday until I requested that my order be done sooner so she said it would be ready 5 days later. I was hoping for a great experience based on all the reviews but with paying that amount of money to get regular clothes altered you're better off shopping at Nordstrom where they will tailor your clothes free of charge for you. read more

Absolutely fantastic service! I bright in 9 pairs of lined slacks that needed alteration due to my weight loss. I originally paid close to $300 a pair to have e slacks made and wasn't ready to invest that kind of money again. The owner took the time to carefully measure each pair of slacks, recommended adjustments, not just in the waist, but down the entire seams. I had all of the slacks back within days. They took the time to alter the slacks and the lining. Cannot even tell that the slacks were altered and look just like the original. All fit perfectly and it saved me a lot of money!
