Previous experience in-person with the staff has been abysmal because they are rude and hostile. Basically every other review points this out too. It's a shame cause Dr. Mohen is great but it's literally impossible to reach her. I guess I am not her patient anymore because it's impossible to schedule an appointment. It also took me months to get my medical records from them. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

They told me the day before my appointment in text that I now had a $250 copay which I did not see because I was working. When I went to the office the doctor wouldnt see me because I did not HAVE the copay. She could ABSOLUTLEY HEAR what was going on in the waiting room and she choose to not advocate FOR THE PATIENT AT ALL. Now I have Tox that I basically have to give to myself bc no other doctor with take it from another office and my isurance wont fill it for 3 months, fuck me right. I am only the patient. Who gives a fuck about me though

We've seen a few different doctors (sometimes we aren't able to see his PCP) and everyone is very knowledge, cordial and kind. The nurses are all great and attempt to calm my son down who get a a bit nervous as he's only 2.5 (he started seeing his doctor at 18 months when we moved to NYC). At times during afternoon visits when they're busier the wait time can be a little long but that's fine. We are patient and things work out.

On a rainy Monday morning in NYC, if you're from here you know everything becomes delayed with…read morethis. I arrived at my appointment 10minutes after the scheduled time and Betty refused to see me. I waiting one month after fainting to get this appointment, and because of 10 minutes, she refused to accommodate me, the next appointment available wasn't until July. The policy, which is noted at the front desk mentioned that after 10 minutes an appointment can just be shortened to not make the next patient late -- they didn't honor this option. They told me I could wait until 9:30 -- another 35 minutes -- to see if the next patient showed up or not. Meanwhile, there was no other patient being seen during this time. Just really ridiculous decision making. Betty, what's the point in being a 'doctor' if you aren't compassionate or willing to help people? Don't come here.

The visit lasted for about 15 minutes and all she did was tell me that I should google a therapy service. I called her the following day because I had felt worse than previously, to the point of tears. She told me all she could do was send me a prescription for antidepressant. I told her I was against taking an antidepressant because I didnt know why the symptoms were bought on. She told me that's all she could recommend. I found another neurologist and got a second opinion, come to find out, the symptoms were caused from an inner ear issue NOT psychological. Please do some research on doctors before wasting time and co pays on ones who don't care.

Read carefully. This may be the first snark-free, sarcasm-free review I have ever written…read more This doctor changed my life. This is no exaggeration. She changed my life. I was suffering from crushing migraines for months. The kind that felt like there was a horde of sharp-taloned insects squeezing the muscles in the back of my neck, scraping at my brain and traveling under my skull to stab me in the eye. It took whatever will I had to function. Couldn't bare light so I lived like a vampire in my house. Couldn't tell day-to-day if I could make it to work and if I did the days were excruciating. I stopped having a life. Just went to work on the days I could manage and came home to be in the dark on the couch. I went to three different doctors who each told me something different until I started coming to Dr. Bryson a little over a year ago. Beyond diagnosing my issue immediately, I could just feel her empathy for the place my life had come to as a result of the pain I was in. She did something I value more than almost anything in a doctor: she listened. And she educated me. Gave me a great book about migraines that explained the symptoms and helped me see that they are more than headaches, but a syndrome made up of a collection of ailments. She understood that I didn't want to take too many prescriptions and worked with me to change my diet and figure out a cocktail of supplements that began to take the edge off almost immediately. I've recommended her to every person I've met since who tells me they have migraines. As part of the St. Luke's Headache Institute she takes many insurance plans. I've been seeing her for over a year now and my migraine headaches are rare though I still get some of the symptoms, like occasional dizziness. But I know how to plan ahead now and I know how to manage. I'm no longer on the couch!
