After receiving a recommendation from a friend for Luxx, We made a reservation for 2, but even on a Saturday afternoon, the salon wasn't a busy. Our mani/pedi's were relaxing! The classic pedicure is $25 while the organic pedicure, which comes with a nice leg mask/scrub, is $40. My pedicure was just ok - she seemed to not focus too much on actually shaping my toenails after cutting them. For an SNS manicure, it was $40, which is on the higher end of what I usually pay. At first I loved my nails, because they looked really good. However that all changed. After paying over $100 to get them done. It took 4 days for them to lift and 5 days for the one of the nails to completely come off. As you can see in the pictures my nails have not grown out as they were just done only a few days ago. Super disappointed. I have a 2 Star as the location inside is beautiful and for the most part the employees were nice but the quality of what I paid for was not up to par. read more

Very nice and clean facility. Everyone is really friendly. I've been here about 5 or 6 times for pedicures and I always leave happy. I usually get the signature pedicure which includes callus removal, scrub, and a hot towel massage. Parking is easy especially as they have dedicated spots at the entrance. Due to Covid-19 everyone is required to wear a mask to ensure safety. I love coming here to get a little pampering! read more

I feel like I have such high hopes for finding a nail place and they always come crashing down. I was really trying to love this place but I have an aversion to germs and cleanliness is so important dealing with nails and feet. I got a pedicure. Just a normal pedi and a gel manicure and with tip I ended up spending $95. The guy didn't wash his hands between my services, and his hands were so sticky. I just wasn't feeling it. I loved the spa like feel in the salon. Unfortunately the service fell short and I will not be back. My gel manicure chipped after one day of normal hand hygiene. I wasn't even at work and I was so bummed. I am absolutely driving to my nail salon in Brandon with zero regrets. read more

My opinion may be bias since I'm a man who maybe gets a pedicure 2/3 times a year but any foot rubbing for me is amazing lol but this was actually the best . Great service. I booked an appointment for the day before my wedding for my bridesmaids and I to be pampered. Julie the owner, pulled out all the stops for us to have a fun afternoon at her salon. I love the comfortable chairs provided for our pedicures! They were very relaxing and they served us wine. I like the unique additions to their pedicure service such as the strawberry margarita. It's a frozen strawberry with a special cream rubbed on your feet. There are many colors to choose from here so it was hard to pick what to get! Julie was very prepared for a group of 10 plus people and no one had to wait. I got a gel manicure as well. I ended up getting it done French style and Julie free handed the French design. She used polish instead of spray. She mentioned her artists are so good, they can duplicate any design we show them. I moved from California 4 years a go and one thing I noticed about Tampa, is that a lot of nail shops use Spa salons behind their name. Well I go to this places, because I don't mind paying for the spa service. Now this location is on their second ownership making the new owners more professional, polite, organized and very sweet. Now their nail technicians give you the hurry up next service. I mean, from not telling you to wash your hands before they put on the nail polish. They won't clean underneath the nails, they don't clean the edges as you can see. Nothing worse to pay for bad service. Love love love this salon! It's exactly what the area needs. Walking in its super clean, they use all new files for each client, and are just overall way more sanitary than other salons around. Julie, the owner is the sweetest and John, who did my nails was great as well! I highly recommend this salon if you're looking for something more upscale and up to date on trends. Ok so this was my first time here. I am looking for a nail salon home and as far as nails I can't say I found it here yet. The good things are that they have a great layout. There are a lot of chairs. They play upbeat music and everyone is very friendly. Their prices are reasonable and they have a variety of pedicures no high pressure for upgrade. Things that I noticed...no tvs in the pedicure area. I assume the music is supposed to cover that but I found myself staring at what others were doing which may have seemed odd to the customer or manicurist. They don't use those bags to cover the bowls which not everyone has but it's something I have come to prefer. They didn't have toe separators. She used tissue. I also seen an autoclave but my manicurist didn't pull my tools out of the bag in front of me. I don't know if this was something she did in her setup but I didn't see it. I can't say I won't return for a pedicure but it won't be home. NOW the reason for the 4 stars! They do facials I will DEFINITELY be returning for this. It was a 30 min. microdermabrasion facial which I loved! They have other options and online appointment booking. read more

I wanted to go to a nail salon that was close to my son's school. I pass this place everyday when I drop off and pick up. I did have reservations because it never looks busy. I actually thought they just opened and they didn't get to get the word out yet. I walked into this huge nail salon mid day on a Friday and yes, It was completely empty. There were 4 employees talking and playing on their phones having a good ole time. I asked for a pedicure and refill. I inquired how long they were opened and she told me several years....well, there goes my theory. I had quite a few issues with my experience at Luxx Nails. First, I requested one of VIP pedicures, which allowed extra foot massage time. It was lousy, the girl was very lazy, and barely massages and not at all worth an extra dime, let only 20 dollars EXTRA. My biggest problem was the atmosphere. The women employees claimed they were short staffed. As a result, as I was trying to relax and enjoy my overpriced, crappy pedicure, the other woman insisted to stand over me while I was in the chair and do my nails. Not take off the polish...literally do the whole thing... the drill, the dip and powder, the gel, the whole thing. When I asked why she had to do this while I was trying to enjoy my pedicure, she told me they were short staffed. However, I was the only person there the entire time. It was extremely cumbersome to put my left arm over to her on my right side...meanwhile, trying to "relax" at this silly "nail spa". To add more annoyance, there were 2 other employees perched on the nearby pedicure chairs having entire conversations very, very loudly with the girls that were doing my nails and toes. They were all extremely loud and speaking in Vietnamese, which made the experience even more bothersome. I will never go back. There is a reason why this place never has one car in their parking lot. Plus, they did a crummy job on both my services. What a ridiculous business. read more

I came here when they first opened, had excellent service and everyone on staff did a great job...and I've been consistent here haven't been for a couple of months... I came today with an appt for my girls and one has a wedding tomorrow, horrible service and horrible staff they rushed through our appts and no one was here so it's not like it was busy.. they left nail polish all over my skin and when we asked for them to clean they got mad and started talking to each other and you knew they were talking about you ... I usually don't yelp but I wanted to say the most recent "subpar and skimping review" is so uneducated I had to clarify because this place is AMAZING AND CLEAN. They DO NOT reuse any filers or buffers or pumice pads so why would they use foam toe separators that is reused over and over again, I guess Ree M. likes sharing others toe separators after it's been in their toes. I am offered my filers and buffers or they are thrown out, and they use a warmed butter so of course it comes from the "back room". So to Other yelpers and salon goers, you won't find a better and more sanitary salon than LUXX! And my nails?! No one can do pink and white ombré like they can!!! read more

I was super excited to try this place. The decor is elegant from the lobby. And the person who escorted me inside was nice. However, when she sat me in a broken pedicure chair, I was disappointed. The chair was missing an entire arm rest! I had to ask to be seated at a chair that was not broken. The person who gave my pedicure was extremely nice, but obviously was not a professional nail tech. I received a sloppy, quickly done pedicure. They didn't do my cuticles on my toes and I could have done a better job polishing my toes myself at home. Very disappointing! She didn't even scrub my heels. She literally did all the steps to the pedicure in less than 20 mins. With not really cleaning my cuticles or giving a proper massage. She messed up painting my nails. Walked in at 615 taking all appointments first and no walk in's only appointments being seen and "we close in 45 minutes" comment unappealing and super unprofessional. Won't bother returning no matter what time you close you take a customer!! Not sure how you have a such a huge building filled with employees and don't take walk-ins 45 min before closing. It was a simple mani pedi no gel nails and you should always accommodate a customer or have staff available for walk-ins. read more
