I am an anxious dog mom with an even more anxious 11 year old bulldog. We tried boarding her to see how she would do, and she responded terribly. That was no longer an option for us. My husband and I left for 21 days and Jerome and Brenna took turns staying in our home to give our dog full-time care, as she has severe separation anxiety. Everyday, multiple times a day, I received photos and updates of their time together. If something was wrong or they had questions, they messaged me through the app. My house is also a jungle and they even watered my plants! Thank you Doug, Jerome and Brenna!

When I emailed Doug (the owner) to bring this to his attention he completely disregarded my concerns and made up every excuse in the book as to why Kaitlin didn't complete the full 30 minutes that I paid for. I would absolutely never use Bad to the Bone for services again and caution those who do to check your cameras and hold your sitters accountable.

My dog was always very upset going there and it seemed like the vet techs might have been rough with her because she ended up getting muzzled - that's when I said no more (this was during the pandemic when we could not go in with the animals). My dog is extremely gentle and mostly a big fraidy pup. The techs at Amelia Pointe are so loving. The space is clean and everyone is so friendly. Dr. Branch is personable as well. My first thoughts upon pulling into the facility - the landscaping + buildings were well maintained. Once I walked in and toured the facility, I noticed how Clean everything is - inside and out. All of the animals have a set routine/schedule of when they go outside, eat, play, etc. The various cat rooms are oober comfy for all the cats hanging out and chillin, and the dogs have fresh water, clean cages, and are given lots of love. I did not take home any pets on my visit but next time I am in the market for another plus one to add to my family, I will start looking at the Nassau Humane Society first! I love that this is a no kill shelter and they get most of their funding through donations at their second hand clothing shop, furniture/home shop, etc. The staff on duty when I visited were all very friendly and answered every question I had. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

My husband left a review of our experience and I feel the need to leave one of my own as it only…read moregot worse after the posting of that review. As my husband's review stated, we canceled an upcoming reservation mostly based on the fact that we felt uncomfortable leaving our dog there. Our dog has been to four other facilities in Atlanta with no issues or problems. We move down here and all of a sudden our dog has issues that "professionals" can't handle without our help. Understood. We were verbally instructed to provide PRESCRIBED calming chews for our dog's anxiety when he is put in the kennel. Got it. I asked if OTC calming chews can be tried first & if they will suffice for the first weekend as it would take some time to get the prescribed calming chews and our dog doesn't usually need these. They agreed to try the OTC chews & I was told to label the bags (that includes his food). Now... before having unpacked our dog's bag and knowing what we know now... they told my husband upon pick up that they recommend our dog going there for one hour a day for a few days to ease his anxiety because he had a hard time at night and that he can come for daycare (without the calming treats). I agreed... great idea! So I call them myself so I can make a reservation to do so the next day. What do I get told? That he cannot come back without the PRESCRIBED calming chews. At this point we just said forget it, we'll cancel our dog going there at all because we're bothered about them telling us two different things. I call to cancel, a man answered and asked the reason -which I shared- & he responded with 'I will let my manager know so all that needs to be done to process your refund will be done.' Now, after coming back home and unpacking the bag we sent our dog to this place with, we see two bags of food left over & both bags of calming treats full and untouched. Naturally, we're upset by this. Why? 1. There was zero communication upon pick up of whether our dog finished all the food or not. 2. We were told that the calming treats did not work AT ALL. I didn't receive an email confirmation that my reservation was canceled so I wanted to be SURE that it was being processed. That being said, I tried to call twice. No answer. My husband calls, leaves a voicemail because of course it was after business hours so no one answered. At this point, my husband is fuming. He decided to write his Google review as he is well within his rights to do so. What do you know... after 30 minutes of the review being posted we get a call back. My husband asks clarifying questions about what we're upset about: the extra food & the calming chews. What were we met with? Rudeness. Now, this is where I won't leave this be because I'm baffled at how the owner (male) spoke to us. I'm glad there is footage of them attempting to feed our dog... wonderful. Reason 1, debunked. Reason 2?! The calming treats?! The man said he didn't try to give them any other time because it was not on the profile - that's an item they should've updated on their end since it was THEIR ask for us to provide them. Instead, the dude complained about our dog keeping him up for 8 hours... which they charged us a surprise fee for him having to "calm" our dog down after said 8 hours :| when there were treats provided for that very reason that they asked for............ This man said that clearly I'm only upset for not getting my way... I'm absolutely unsure what my way is that I didn't get(?) but go off lol. He also said "why doesn't your dog just go to one of four facilities then"... whew. When I said I can appreciate him defending himself and that's no longer a concern, that I would just like to confirm the cancellation of the reservation and the refund is being processed - the OWNER of this place said to me that he won't tell us that information until we delete our Google review. LOL! Trying to bully my husband and/or me into deleting a review of our experience is crazy work. 10/10 don't recommend... don't be fooled by how cute their facility is. Such a shame.
