After our nightmare with her, we received calls from two people who used to work for her confirming everything we figured out about Lindsey including her lack of training, her deception, lies, and overall lack of any thread of integrity. I wasn't sure how he would do woth other animals but Devon immediately assured me that they would be able to handle Kapano in their house for his boarding! I was impressed as he came back more confident and mannered around other dogs. I was consistently sent updates and photos of him throughout his stay and made to feel more than welcome to visit. He also came back to me in better shape in terms of muscle! If there was anything Devon had questions about they had no issues contacting me right away to let me know or ask about, I felt very comfortable and safe with my dog remaining under Devons care. I had never had to leave my dog with anyone before so i was reasonably worried as he's been my bestfriend for 6 years but i am EXTREMELY satisfied with Devons services and will continue to use devon for any training/boarding related needs for the future. Dropped my dog off today, 5.15.2026, around 715a; on the way back to my car, as I always do, I…read morelooked in the window to see my dog after drop off; saw their employee in Park kick my dog; went back to speak to the staff, was informed they would look at the video and get back to me; they called me back timely but indicated my dog was NOT kicked but this is the method they use to separate dogs when they get too frisky, they just put their leg between the dogs to separate; THIS IS A LIE; i know a kick when I see one; so, since they have kicked my dog today and lied to me about it, my business with this business is concluded; I have taken two other dogs to this establishment; I have seen the changes over time; today IS UNACCEPTABLE; I dont't have to get up early and pay someone to kick my dog, if I want him kicked, I can kick him at home; just a warning to others; we are moving on to greener pastures; in my next search for a daycare I will be sure to ask what disciplinary actions the staff uses on pets; I don't spend my time pampering this dog to have him kicked at a business; when a business shows you who they are and how they operate, believe them the first time

I called my vet only to find out they no longer do boarding. But they recommended Happy Hounds. After checking out Happy Hounds online, I called and had the pleasure of speaking to the owner, Brian. He explained I needed to create an account online and once established, I could make a reservation for Molly (THE sweetest Yorkie ever!)..Brian further advised that the first visit is always free! Now that is a real tail-wagger lol. I also told Brian that Molly is a little shy around other dogs and he said he'd keep her up at the front counter with him. The next morning I woke up before sunrise to what sounded like giants stomping on my roof. Molly started a barking spree which I knew would not stop until my roof my done! So we headed to Happy Hounds on Beach Blvd. Brian and a very friendly dog greeted us. I could see and hear many dogs just having a great time in the open area. You have to smile when you see dogs running around like kids on a playground at recess! Brian reassured me he would keep Molly up front with him so she'd be close to a human. (I don't know if it's a Yorkie thing, but she likes to be near or on a person at all times!) I noticed that Happy Hounds is arranged in such a way that you don't need to worry about your precious pup escaping and exploring while there. The neat thing is, you can still see the dogs while they are kept safe. I picked Molly up around 1 PM and there she was, still safe behind the counter - happy, and hanging out with a shy Poodle. Happy Hounds entrance has fencing and a gate similar to what you see around swimming pools...the open metal bars and you have to push down on a knob for the gate the open/close. The gate automatically swings shut once you are inside. I was a little concerned about the location as it's right off of busy Beach Blvd. The fenced access is a great touch. When we were leaving, little Molly did slip through the bars and so she was outside while I was still inside the gate. But I had her on a leash, so everything was OK. Just wanted to mention this in case you have a 10 pounds or less pooch! Thank you Happy Hounds for taking such good care of Molly! You saved her (and me!) from what would have been an extremely stressful day.

I was gone for three days and got to watch them on the puppy cams and the whole time they seemed relaxed and happy... The people who work here deeply care for animals and certainly have a way with the dogs!
