It's…read morenot far from me, public transportation makes it easy for me to go home from here after returning a vehicle so I like this location. Pros are the staff here are friendly and they have nice cars. Cons are it's a small location and for some reason, this entire place smells like cat. From the minute you enter the garage it smells like cat. I drove in today to return a rental, and the smell was so strong it came through the car vents. On the plus side, renting a car during the week is quick and easy. On weekends they get so backed up, i prefer the morris park location on weekends, especially since they are open on Sundays. This location had a dirty bathroom before but it's actually really clean now. I want to give a shout out to Frankelly who helped me get a great vehicle for the pool Day with my family.

Always respectful, hard working, kind (both manager and other staff). Good cars, as described. I'm often asked, when returning a car, "any problems....(if no, then)...is there anything we could have done better"? which is an amazing ethic to find in this world." They really do go above and beyond to give a great rental experience, and really work hard to right things if the occasional hiccup happens - inevitable in a busy, crowded city location. To be honest, I'm not sure how they make it work so well in such tight quarters in this Bronx location. Agreed with other reviewers that cigarette smoke prohibition can be more carefully enforced. This is a great Enterprise location and I think Matthew will eventually be running the whole company! In the meantime, I hope he is here for as long as possible. Thanks Riverdale Enterprise.

Updates to my previous review: Kim (or whoever responded…read moreto my review), I did exactly what you asked. I called the number you provided right away. I explained the same problems I wrote about -- every car reeking of cigarette smoke despite your no-smoking warnings, the hour-long waits even with a reservation, the disorganized operation that doesn't open on time, and especially the last rental where the tire pressure kept dropping and I had to add air eight separate times. I was told a supervisor would call me back to handle it. Nobody called. Not that day. Not the next day. Still nothing. This is the exact same pattern I warned people about. You respond to bad reviews so it looks like you care, but when a customer actually follows your instructions and reaches out, you ghost them. Zero follow-through. Zero accountability. It confirms everything: cheap prices to pull people in, then unsafe cars, unprofessional staff who talk slick instead of acting professional, and now broken promises when you get caught. I'm done. I'll never rent from the Riverdale location again and I'm telling everyone I know to stay away. Go to any other Enterprise (Upper West Side or Midtown) or a competitor and pay a little more. At least they might actually call you back and treat you like a customer instead of a number they're trying to manage online.

- My friend almost died in one of their cars…read more - The transmission died on the highway 3 hours after picking up the car. - When she returned the car, instead of closing the contract and taking that care off the road, they rented the car to someone else. -That person returned the car the same day because of mechanical issues. - My friend can't get a refund until they close the contract. - The person at the Hertz lied about their name (found this out later after calling Hertz on the phone). - This place is now being reported to the City of New York and the Better Business Bureau for the negligence. This place is putting people's lives at risk.
