Since then, I have always been a loyal customer. Tatyana is an expert nail technician and works with the highest standards. She recognises loyalty (for example, she hasn't changed my prices even if the price list for new clients have gone up) and always performs an excellent job. Everywhere I go people compliments me about my nails and she can change her style to comply with requirements like Christmas and holidays. She's a fast worker (in Italy the girl who does my gel nails takes 2 hours to do a set, Tatyana only takes an hour!) and uses top quality products. Her gel doesn't burn when catalysed and lasts a very long time. Normally I go for infills ever 6 weeks, but there has been a time when I went on my honeymoon and her nails have resisted for over 7 weeks! Her prices are also very competitive based on where she is located, in central London. Book with confidence, you'll receive a professional service from start to finish!

But in my experience it was a great shop and I could see myself becoming a regular. They were friendly and professional over the phone and seemed to do their absolute best to get me in on a busy Friday by telling me I could walk in right away (15 mins or less) or I could make an appointment. I did the latter. I checked out Classic Nails on Kings Rd before walking into Pomme Pe'Dour and I have to say I liked Pomme Pe'Dour's atmosphere at lot better. It's a smaller, more narrow space, but they have an open window and door in the back for hot days, a better color, design and natural lighting scheme, the nail polishes on display are better organized by color. Just better between the two salons. Like Classic Nails, PPD is cash only. I read a review that said they take card for services totaling over £20. Not true. I had to leave my California driver's license and walk over to Kings Rd to use an ATM. They're relaxed and don't treat you like a criminal, but it could help to remind customers beforehand that it's cash only for all services. Three different people, but mostly one woman who's name I didn't catch, handled my shellac/gel mani/pedi. I walked in about an hour before my 3pm appt wanting to see how I felt about the place, unsure about the 2.5 yelp stars. Once inside, I liked the place and they just took me right then. They don't talk much because they're working so diligently. You really have to draw them out if you want to talk or see their personalities which is a nice option. Or maybe you just have to become a regular. Everyone that helped me was diligent, detail oriented and aimed to please. They knew what they were doing and offered good advice when asked. The one awkward moment was when I had to leave the pedicure chair, so the next person could hop in and while back at the manicure station, I had to balance my foot on the pedicurist's knee while twisting to the side for my pedicure. I felt like I was playing a game of twister. I don't think this would be comfortable to too many other people. £70 for everything. I could pay the same + tip in West Hollywood. Very well done, cuticles removed and freshened, no nail polish spilling over onto my skin. Perfect oval shape nails on my hands and rounded square shape on my toes as requested and the 3-4 layers of polish should last quite a long time. I would definitely go back.
