And this time they gave me was 30 minutes before they close. Now, I work in the area but was going out of town / had great reviews and was decently priced for the area so I decided to go with them. I had asked if it would be better to come in the next day to have more time etc. they said no that it was fine. My appointment is rushed, they do not have the colour I prefer, that is fine I went with my second choice but the nail shape was far from what I had requested. Showed them a picture of a rounded shape, was given a rough pointy almond. Might be better for more easy nails / no designs. Recommend for the kindness and gel painted nails but would not recommend for acrylics or extensions. read more

I love getting pedi's..! Luuuv it.. This place is just as strange as all the other Vietnamese and Korean places... Magazines, television playing something very uninteresting, all off the staff speak in their own language and you feel like a very welcome outsider. But good and clean. The girl (Chan) that helped me was very good... She is not my regular lady, and she really took her time and was very precise. Took aaaall of my high-heel-city-trooper-skin off. Loved it! Two weeks...I'll see her in two weeks. (not like I can reach my feet in a normal way, being 7 months pregnant and feeling fat!!) Get a pedi and ask for Chan.. It will do you good! I went to go get a full set (acrylic) and honestly for the price, I didn't know what to expect and I above all, wasn't sure if the website had the updated prices or not. I came in early, and they took me early which is always a good surprise. During my full set, about 6 people came for diverse treatments. They are very professional and really listen to what you want. The full set went well, he gave me a very nice shape and was quite gentle. He also took care of my cuticles which was a surprise because I didn't ask for it. Overall, I am very happy with the result and with this. It is great value for the price. I paid £28 (Nails Inc for full set is about £50) Infills are £17 (Nails Inc is I think around 25£) It makes a huge difference and it's just as good if not better! read more

Great job on manicure and pedicure. Very thorough, great attention to detail and decent finish. I happened to arrive at the right time and was started on immediately - one of them on the pedicure whilst the other one started the manicure. I'm glad I didn't arrive 30 minutes later when a queue had developed and customer service skills, such as managing expectations about queuing times, were not being well managed. Nothing special to write home about... I booked a pedicure here based on the reviews from Yelp. It's good advice to ask the men to do this and I wish I'd seen that before the booking, It might have affected my choice, experience and therefore review... because I really wasn't impressed with the pedicure I got and my friend and I had two women working with us. I had really hoped to get my feet in a good state for the warmer weather and some sandals, but I came away disappointed and my feet still feeling only fit for boots. While they buffed and scrubbed our feet, I still felt the need went home to grab the pumice as they didn't do that great a job. The foot massage also mediocre to say the least. Maybe it's because we were one of the last customers of the day, however the lady who came in after us was treated to a back massage at which point I realised the seats we were sitting in where vibrating massage chairs and they'd forgotten to turn ours on. The studio itself was very small and cramped and it wasn't particularly a pleasant environment, however I could overlook this detail if the service had been great, but I'm sorry to say I've had far better, and far better for cheaper... As this little treat will set you back £25, which is reasonable if they do a good job, I feel they didn't, so I won't be back. read more

I went here several times for manis & pedis as was close to my work but i visited on Friday and vowed on Friday never to return. I felt totally taken advantage of. I had to wait 20 minutes, even though i had booked, and they didn't apologise or acknowledge it - that in itself i could turn a blind eye. I got a pedi but didn't have time to get colour done (as i had an app and it wouldn't dry in time hence why i booked at appointment at that time) and i asked the cost considering this and they wouldn't amend the cost to reflect this. They were rude and had a total disregard for my loyalty for a year. I had to paid £25 to get wonky cut toe nails and nothing else...what a rip off. When i explained about customer service they were very rude and i left with a horrible feeling that lingered. read more

I've been going here over the summer for regular pedicures and more occassional manicures. The pedicures are great, and the closest thing I've found in London to the cheap, good pedicures that are common in the US. My feet always come out looking and feeling great, and the polish lasts 2-3 weeks. The manisures are unfortunately a bit more hit and miss. Some of the staff don't seem to get what I would consider to tbe the basics - each nail should be symetrical within itself, and nails on each hand shoud match each other in shape. Some also seem unwilling to give me what I ask for rather than what they feel like doing - eg the shape I ask for, not the one the choose for themselves; if I ask for clear polish, I want clear polish, not pale pink, etc. The staff can be a little abrupt at first, but are mor friendly once you're recognised as a regular. One in particular seems to try to rush people out, but I've found that smiling, staying in my seat, and saying that the nails need a little more time to dry, works fine. I'll be continuing to go for pedicures, but will be giving manicures a miss from now on. read more

I actually set out to Charlotte Street to get a manicure at "Lin's Nails" which seems to no longer be based in Eclipse Hairdressers. I was flying to Boston for a conference two days later and decided I must have properly polished nails. I came across "The Beautiful Nails Studio" whilst wandering forlorn back to the tube. I've had very few manicures in my life as I'm quite blessed in the nail department. Just a lick of clear polish and people have been fooled into thinking I've had a french manicure, which is a contributing factor in not wanting to spend much on my nails. A regular manicure here is £15. The colour selection wasn't great, lots of pinks and reds - I wanted neither of these so settled on Essie Chinchilly which I found with one of the manicurists, mostly just because it wasn't pink or red. The process was pretty swift and the polish application itself was neat. I left satisfied but not in love with the colour I was wearing. However, the next day I got my first chip and by the day of my flight my nails were looking pretty messed up. If you want a cheap manicure just for the same day/night, then I guess you can't go wrong. But next time, I'd rather go elsewhere and pay more for something that will last me a week or two. On top of that, when I was in Boston, I paid $11 (including tip) for a polish change at a salon on Newbury St. which was about the same as the manicure process here (but more thorough application around the tips) and it lasted me more than a week. read more

Went in for the manicure-pedicure combo treatments. The place is quite cramped but not uncomfortable. The chairs are quite alright, no massage chairs though. The pedicure was one of the better ones I have experienced in London in my 'quest of the perfect pedicure'. There's soaking, cuticle work, exfoliation and a nice scrub. The massage was ok - it was more like a skin rub until the cream is absorbed. Treatment lasts about 35-40 minutes including nail varnish. The manicures I have had here all always quite rushed - done in 10-15 minutes. No scrub here and the average massage. But overall, for their prices, it is good value for money given the central London location. Would go again. Note: They take only cash payments. read more

I visited here with a friend last week for mani pedis, picked it based on Yelp reviews and location. Service was brusque and not v friendly but this was as expected. Bring cash, cards not accepted :( Also, no bathroom. Pros: Both manis lasted well over 5 days. Pedis still going strong on day 6. Price was reasonable, and appointment was fast as we had various staff members working on hands and feet simultaneously. Cons: My hand "massage" resulted in a small injury on my right thumb joint for around 2 days. Not cool. My friend had cuts into the skin on her big toes which only just stopped hurting now, after 6 days. Not cool, as potential for infections very high on feet. So, on balance both my friend and I would give this place 3 stars. We don't need pampering but we don't appreciate being injured by the staff. Other than that, was fine. read more

I live in Leeds and my nail experience of a couple of Asian nail salons is get it one as quick as possible. You still have the experience of not knowing what the staff are saying but I felt I was in there ages. Both staff who looked after me made a real effort to make my nails look amazing. My nails are flawless and I will be going back there again despite paying more than normal. read more

This is a no frills nail salon, but it does a really good job! If you are from New York, you will appreciate that this is a very similar experience. The prices are pretty decent compared to most of the nail salons in London. I only had a manicure today, but would definitely come back to try other services. I have been to Beautiful nails a few times. Their french mani's never seem to last on me, but I go when I need a last minute manicure and there is no where else available. I will not return though, no matter how desperate I am. I went last week, to get my nails done for a wedding. The guy who was doing my nails was rubbing away on my thumb cuticle so hard it started bleeding. It wouldn't stop and after numerous attempts of sanitising it and pressing down with cotton wool, he gave up and proceeded to paint over the nail anyway! By the time I realised I was in no position to get it re-done, but throughout the weekend, I had traces of blood under my nail (i had gone for a nude shade so it was unmissable). this is the last straw, I won't be returning. Just because they are cheap does not mean they need to be sloppy. read more

The woman doing my nails dug under my toenails with her own, ungloved nails and cut me, scratched my feet and sent me home even though my feet had not been dry enough.
