I also got a short almond shape with just a black tip NO EXTRA design & they charged me 75$. It was definitely not worth paying $75 for a nail tech to do the basics. When I called them to speak to someone else to go over the charges they hung up on me. I don't recommend this place there is Absolutely Nothing Luxory about it. I had the best pedicure experience here. My friend took me here last Wednesday for a pedicure. I only got the basic pedicure but it was the best pedicure I ever had!! First off, they give you a complementary cup of ginger tea, which was pretty good. You get the massage that you typically get with pedicures... but they use a massager along with their hands! They oil your legs and feet and they use the massager while manually working. It felt amazing! The service was awesome as well. Everyone was extremely friendly. Terrible service and over priced. No one speaks English and the salon is not at even the minimum level of cleanliness. Someone needs to check to see of this business is even up to code because from what I've seen its too unhygienic to be able to offer any service to the public. My "basic" pedicure took 10 minutes and that is with nail polish application. I declined the massage from a machine and would have rather a hand massage. The owner/manager did apologize several times and asked me to come back to "fix" the pedicure but that would mean more time out of my week. read more

I honestly don't understand what those other two reviews are talking about. I found this salon when I moved back to the area after several years in NYC. I have been coming here for over a year now, and even though I moved from Hyattsville into DC (last December) I still won't go anywhere else. The prices are more than fair. Forty five dollars for a pedicure that includes a sugar scrub, mud mask with hot towels, a paraffin wax dip and a great massage. Have you ever found a pedicure that all inclusive any where else for that price? I looked, and I sure didn't. I always call ahead and ask for an appointment so I never have to wait. Ask for Linda. She is the absolute best and takes amazing care of me every time I see her. They do take walk-ins, but if you want to be seen right away make sure to come early in the day or closer to when they close. read more

I was told to wait a few minutes just to get my eyebrows waxed, I waited for a total of 20 minutes and I see that there are technicians walking freely back-and-forth on their phone and eating food as I'm waiting so I asked one of the nail technicians in the very front how much longer I would have to wait he tells me that he called me to come to the back 10 minutes ago and I never heard him even say excuse me ma'am or anything he didn't even make sure that heard him, so I told him I've been waiting here for 20 minutes and you didn't even tell me to come to the back I've been sitting there the entire time right in front of him and not once did I hear him call me to the back and he goes to say because I was in my phone I was ignoring him when he called me to go to the back and I'm like are you kidding me I sat here and wasted 20 minutes of my time to come to an establishment for the first time and this is the customer service that I get just to get my eyebrows waxed, i've seen establishments like this if you're not spending more money then one of the smaller services they don't treat you respectfully. I can't tell you enough how poor customer service like this makes me not want to support establishments like this I rather just find somebody who's doing it out of their house I will get treated better there than at rude and ghetto places like this. The staff is super friendly. I came in for a pedicure on a Friday afternoon and was attended to 5 minutes after walking in despite it being visibly busy. My technician (a middle aged man) was very funny and took his time with pedicure. He also triple checked my toes even after I was under the dryer to make sure they were still good. This is the best I've been to (in this area). The two over at the mall are horrible so I was satisfied with this. Is it a lux spot? Also, when I went to get a refill somewhere else, the nail tech noticed how poorly it was done. My acrylic was coming up after only two weeks. I could have gotten infected if it wasn't caught. The salon is SPOTLESS and while English is definitely not the first language in the salon the services are on an automated menu when you check in and everyone is clearly well trained. I would not recommend this place to anybody. My friend and I came in here on a Saturday evening and the place was completely empty, that should've been our first sign that this was not the move. We were not greeted when we walked in and finally when I came over and asked the lady for a simple mani pedi she rolled her eyes and walked over to start the water. When I put my feet in the water the water was boiling I asked the lady twice if she could lower the temperature and she didn't even look up on the third time she turned the water to ice cold instead of just tweeking it a little. In the middle of this another lady comes and puts a bowl of water on my lap and tells me to put my fingers in it so she could start my nails. Obviously they were trying to rush my friend and I out of there even though nobody else was there and there were 5 technicians available. The lady did a hack job of my nails when filing, she never asked me what shape I wanted so she just started filing each nail into any and every shape possible, some were round some were square and others were questionable. Then she starts to put the polish on my nails. I brought my own nail polish because it was a new color that I wanted to try and couldn't seem to find in any other salon. She proceeded to tell me that the color was too watery for her to use and that I needed to get a gel manicure in order for the color to show up on my nails. The color was a brand new bottle of dark grey Essie nail polish. When I told her it looked that way because she had only put one coat of color on my nails she proceeded to roll her eyes and put on another coat. In the middle of this coat she smudged two of my fingers due to the way she was holding them when I pointed this out to her she refused to fix it. Meanwhile while all of this is going on the girl has finished buffing my feet and was becoming impatient because she couldn't start painting my toes until the other lady was done with my manicure. She kept asking me if I was sure I didn't want to just get a gel manicure or put a different color on my toes. When I finally was finished getting both painted I went to sit and let them dry. Mind you this mani pedi only took about 20 minutes that includes dry time. I ended up sitting and letting my nails dry for another 30 minutes while I waited for my friend to get a full set. When my friend was done we both went to put our shoes on. When I pulled my sock on all of the paint on my thumb nail smudged almost completely off. When I brought this to the girls attention again she refused to fix it again. Also when my friend and I got home we both discovered that our toe nails were completely smudged despite me sitting and letting them dry for nearly an hour. Definitely would not come here again. The service was terrible. The environment was clean but there was no music playing the only sound that could be heard was the technicians talking in their language and the manager watching a foreign comedy and laughing(cackling) so loudly he frightened a little girl who had came in with her family while I was drying. I wish I was exaggerating. I wish I was lying. But this is honestly one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. And to add injury to insult they tried to keep my nail polish when I went to reach for it the lady literally tried to snatch it back further damaging my already jacked up nails. Please never get your eyebrows done here! I told the lady to keep my natural eyebrows thick I just needed to get rid of the hair under the arch and just a little touch up. She said that thick eyebrows were ugly and continuously asked to make them thin. I said no but then she put the wax on my eyebrows and I could already tell this was going to be bad.. what could I do though? She already had the wax on my brows and I didn't know what to do. I let her wax and tweeze my brows. I sit up and she tells me to go look in the mirror my brows are abnormally thin and shaped oddly (one eyebrow arches higher than the other naturally but it's so much more noticeable when they're this thin). I honestly wanted to cry. She goes on telling me how much better and prettier I look now but I'm sad and ashamed of my face now. My brows were a favorite feature of mine and I can only hope they grow back the same now.. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!! I went on august the 3rd for a fill in and everything was ok until the man doing my nails started to be kinda pushy and trying to get me to do gel nails and I told him no and he still persisted that I get it and I continued to say NO ! Until he stopped asking and just continued with doing my nails so everything was fine until these other ladies walked in and then that's when he started trying to rush me out of his seat because he didn't even paint my nails correctly (PS NONE OF THEM KNOW HOW TO PAINT NAILS ITS TERRIBLE!!) so when we officially got done he told me to sit and wait for them to dry under the light before he walked away i asked him how long does he want me to let it dry he said 1hr and a half then hit me on the shoulder like I was some type of man which this made me feel kinda uncomfortable afterwards then I went home everything was fine then I woke up the next morning august the 4th and I noticed my nail broke and I just received a fill in I was so disappointed when I went to them to get a repair the lady took me when I told her I wanted a repair that was it she was pushy about gel color and blah blah blah I said no so when we went to look for the color I had I asked her "How much does it cost for color change?" And she said 8 dollars I said ok I'll remember that next time I come and then when we say down she took off all of my nail polish tried to change the color and then charge me 11 dollars for it all when I never asked for that service she told the manager and the manager told me "You know what you did was wrong so don't come and do it again next time don't argue just pay."
