I booked online which was a breeze. Paperwork when I arrived took just a few minutes, and I was glad to see them ask the questions they did before any treatments. There was no rushed feeling, and Sarah said she never schedules clients on top of each other, so I could talk it through as much as I wanted. I wasn't sure about what style/shape exactly I wanted, other than that I wanted it to come out very natural. Sarah guided me through my ideas and eventually drew it out on my face and let me look at it. I then was able to make a minor adjustment before the final procedure. I was surprised how little discomfort I felt during the actual microblading. And it's been five days and I am equally surprised how easy the aftercare and healing process is. My eyebrows look the best they ever have in my life! Sarah is an incredible artist, she designed the best shape for my face, mixing the closest to natural color, and yet stayed so close to my natural brows that nobody would ever know it's a tattoo. Her way of microblading is super skilled yet gentle. Positives: Owner did a great job on my brows and happy with the shape. Since it was my first time, I have nothing to compare it to but it was almost pain free. Quiet and clean facility. Plenty of parking. After disputing the follow up charges to BBB, I received a refund. I understand things happen in life but communication is key. The amount charged was intended to cover a follow-up appointment but if I had not reached out to an outside agency for help, I truly think I would've been out $200. Wish it worked out. I really wanted to like this business so I could recommend to my colleagues and friends.

My first appointment with Heather she was 15 mins late. I was very forgiving and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Then after setting up other appointments with her, she would be consistently late (around 10-15 mins...last appt I had with her she was about 20 mins late.) Not very considerate of her customer's time at all. I think every lash stylist will tell you that your old stylist "didn't know what they were doing" to sell themselves. Yes she did a great job as did other stylist I've been to. My lashes started to fall off after a week and did my best to maintain them as long as I could so I wouldn't have to keep returning every 1-2 weeks. Also be prepared to have Heather talk your ear out during the entire session...if not about her family, it would be about her old boss. She is VERY vulgar and unprofessional. The sessions are not relaxing at all (especially if you have a stressful job)...coming out of that session, you will be more stressed. Being that she is inconsiderate of your time, it is very difficult to schedule with her as well. I found her through living social and paid $60 for my first session. Somehow she is always booked almost 2-3 weeks after you're done with your session with her....so now that will run you into her $75 price range. Forget about after 4 weeks, now you're paying at a minimum $125 to maintain your lashes. She just increased her prices and she doesn't seem to care if you're a returning client...she does not give you price consideration for loyal customers, especially one as valuable a customer as myself...who not only pays whatever price she gives me and tips very well. I would NEVER return to Heather again...very disappointed. She lacks business acumen and still has A LOT to learn with how she should value loyal customers. ******* Responding to Heather's comment below***** I'd like to reiterate how much Heather lacks a good business acumen. I was a loyal customer and until you find value in what your customers have done for your business, you will not be successful. As I mentioned in my text, I will no longer give you any of my business & I find your lack of honestly that you turned your business away from me (amongst all that you mentioned below that lack the truth) gave me more validation that I made the right choice!! :-) I also find it very disturbing that you continue to text me even though I've asked you to please stop. Please stop texting me and continue on with your business...you and your business definitely need some improvements. read more

Love LLB! I have tried several salons in La Jolla, and hands down Heather Ann is the best Master Artist out there. I first found her 3.5 years ago when my previous artist last minute canceled on me. I was frantic and scared to find another person, but I am so thankful I did. Heather Ann runs her salon very well, she is perfectionist, and she treats all of her clients fairly/equally. She is the best in LJ, so she books out very fast and she always reminds me that her appointments are on a first come first served basis. I have been a client for almost 4 years, and she has always done everything in her power to get me in-- she has come in early, stayed after hours, and has even work through her lunch to get me and other clients in. She was very experienced, professional & listened to what I was looking for. She customized the perfect set for me. I made an appointment for a fill & told her that I wanted something shorter & more natural but still full. She again delivered the perfect set for me but these were for everyday. Emily is amazing, plain and simple. Before getting my first set, I was concerned lash extensions would compromise the integrity of my natural lashes. Em assured me that with proper application, they should NOT cause any damage. I just got my third fill with her today and my natural lashes are still healthy and full. Emily is your girl, people. I'm seriously addicted. My lashes are to die for. The LLB salon is super clean and cute. Their prices are fair and they have lots of fun products for sale, including their own LLB lash cleanser (which I use daily). Emily and owner Heather Ann are so professional and sweet. I first cam in on Friday 2/14 for a natural volume looking lashes! I was running so late do to traffic and Heather and Emily worked with me to get my set done even though I was extremely late. 10/10 definitely recommend Emily. (Most businesses would turn away if you more than 15 minutes late to an appointment) Do to a emotional ER visit for my son. I cried off some of some of my lashes. Do to Heather being an amazing business woman. She got me in Monday 2/17 with Ashely for a redo and a cheaper price! This salon is a dream, from the girls who work there (Haley was my lash technician) to the final product! I had never gotten my lashes done before so I wasn't sure what to expect or ask for but Haley walked through all the options and we came up with the best one for me! As you can see in the before and after pics, the final product turned out amazing and I can happily say I'll be coming back to get them filled in 2-3 weeks! Upkeep is super easy and Haley is such a fun girl to talk to while getting your lashes done! Danee is absolutely incredible! I have been to most of the artists that work here and you really can't go wrong with any of them, but Danee really did an incredible job when I went in most recently. I had lashes on that were done by an unlicensed friend of a friend and they were starting to pull out and dammage my real lashes. I hadn't realized the importance of going to someone who was certified and knew exactly what they were doing until I met Danee. So lucky to have found this lash boutique when I moved back to San Diego, and even luckier to have Heather do my lashes!! The boutique is very nice and clean! I have been going to Emily for my lash extensions for almost a year. I was really hesitant about getting eyelash extensions because of horror stories I had heard from friends getting extensions from other salons and pulling out your real lashes. Luxury Lash Boutique is Amazing! Heather Ann is very accommodating to my chaotic schedule. Before I started going to Luxury Lash Boutique, I had been going to a different Lash place and my eyelashes would not last more than 2 weeks and they would fall out in weird spots. I have been a repeat client for a few months now and all I have to say is that Heather Ann is amazing! Super friendly and excellent at her skill. I have been to multiple lashers and Heather Ann is the best...find out for yourself! Not only is she great, but the quality of lashes are great as well. The lashes do not hurt when you close your eyes, fallout is minimal (all depends on the person of course, but from my previous experiences this is 'minimal') and there are many styles to choose from. read more

That being said the window is open for a nice breeze and I've gone twice now when it's 90 degrees out in Pacific Beach, yes 90 in PB, and didn't even notice it being warm. If you run hot try to set up your appointment on a cooler day if possible. Booking at least a week out is recommended.

I absolutely love their Carmel Mountain location, but I hate their Point Loma location. I've never had issues at Carmel Mountain, but I constantly have issues in Point Loma. I've repeatedly had issues with their website, allowing you to book on days that they are not open and their website hours on Google saying they're open even when they're not. I've contacted them multiple times about this, but the issue has never been resolved. I'll be honest this was one of the only places I have ever trusted to do my eyebrows and I had a great experience a handful of times I've been to Carmel Mountain. But they really need to get new management for the point Loma location. I know it is new, but that is not an excuse for how it is currently running. I've also heard other reviews from friends of mine saying that they will show up on time for their appointment and the staff is not there and has been up to 30 minutes late for their appointment. I hope to continue to be a customer because I do love the Carmel Valley location, but I really hope they can step it up in point Loma. Overall, I have a bad taste in my mouth from the poor experiences in PL.

I expected better quality work to be done. To give a little bit of backstory, I have been getting my lashes done regularly for over six years now. I was getting ready to go on vacation for 16 days and really wanted my lashes to be full and not have to get a fill while I was there however my regular girl that does a fabulous job was out of town and wasn't able to do it the day before I left because she wasn't here. I really wanted them done the day before I left because as you know your lashes fall out overtime and I wanted them to be as full as possible for as long as I could while on vacation. I reached out to a few lash Studios in the area and let them know that I needed to fill. Glorious lash and brow reached out to me to make an appointment. They connected me with Erin who then texted me to make my appointment and told me that she was with glorious lash and brow. She did not ever mention that she was a third-party . The only communication I got was from glorious lash and brow, or Erin who said that she was affiliated with them. Here's where I admit my mistakes: On the day of my appointment, I was running around trying to get everything ready for my family of five to be gone for over two weeks and for some reason in my head I was thinking my appointment was at 2 PM when it was actually at 1 PM. I did have it in my calendar as being at 1 PM, but I was so busy with other things that I forgot . Erin texted me around 110 and asked if I was still coming in. I apologize profusely and she said that she could still get me in even if I was late. Thankfully, I rushed over and I was there by 1:20 pm, she got me in. Great. The next mistake I made was not asking what the price of my service was gonna be. As someone who's gotten their lashes done regularly for six years and has been to other places besides my regular girl to get pills I know that fills cost anywhere from $70-$90 so that's what I was prepared to pay. During the service she didn't really want to make conversation with me even though I was trying to make small talk to be polite. Which is fine. I get some people just don't like small talk so I just laid there in silence. She did mention during the service that my lash girl does a really good job and that my lashes looked great. When the service was over, my lashes looked fine. I handed her my card and she did not mention what the price of the service was going to be and then ran my card as someone who always tips 20%. I just hit the 20% button sign and went on my way. My mistake also for not paying attention I guess I was just in such a hurry and had so many things to do, but I assumed that the price would be around what that normal price of a fill is. And I get home and I realize I didn't even check to see how much it was so I look at my bank statement and I was shocked that she charged me $150. This does not include the tip mind you that was just the price of the service. I was a little confused because that's the price of a full set not a fill. I texted her and asked her if she had made a mistake and charged me for a full set and she said that because I was getting a "foreign fill" she charged me more. She said that because now she knows the quality of my lashes that next time I went to her, she would charge me only $95 for a fill. once again, someone who gets their lashes done regularly and has been to different places over the years I have never heard of a foreign fell before and didn't understand why it was so expensive. I texted my regular lash girl and she confirmed that that was not a thing, she asked me the name of the place that I went and then pointed out that on their website, the made up "foreign fill" was listed at $125 not $150, still outrageously overpriced, but less than what she had charged me. I texted her back with a screenshot of the price listed online and she said that that was "Emma's price". Nowhere on their website does it list the different people and different prices? i'm not a very confrontational person so instead of going back-and-forth with Erin I decided to text the original number that had reached out to me assuming that was the owner of the salon. I explained what happened and she told me that Erin just "rented a booth at the studio and so she has different pricing ." Once again, that information was never disclosed to me. The only communication I got was from someone affiliated with that studio. I went to NYC for a wedding a few days after i got my eyelashes done and had 3 make up artists doing my makeup along with the other bridesmades. Each makeup artist were so amazed by the work daniela did and told me that my lashes were THE BEST they ever have seen. In a huge city like NYC to receive a compliment like that from a small studio in SD is a huge accomplishment. I took for granted how amazing daniela's work is. i have yet to find someone back home in hawaii who is half as decent as her.

Since I use retinol and glycolic acid, she ended up tweezing my brows to be safe. Hayley walked through the steps for my partner's lashes as this was her first time doing any of it. I told Fria that I got a natural set of lashes (every other lash had an extension) and that I wanted a fuller look. After explaining to her what I wanted, she knew exactly what would fit the built of my lashes. I am so happy how they turned out!!! I was a bit anxious about the adhesive because I had a pretty bad tearing reaction when I got them done in San Francisco. But the adhesive that Fria uses gave me no tearing or sensitivity at all!! Even though I just got my lash extensions done in San Francisco, Fria informed me that most of my lash extensions were grown out and sparse. So she had to remove some of them and it was completely painless! Here is a list to why I gave this place five stars -easy to make an appointment - reasonable prices (also the $119 promotion for any type of lash extensions is a great deal) - the adhesive does not harm or irritate my sensitive eyes - Fria is very quick and gentle on my lashes - clean place - they use faux mink lash extensions that feel so light and comfortable (doesn't even feel like I have them on) - the protection pads they use for my under eyes during application peeled off very easily after I was finished with my session. - My lashes look so natural, full, and are exactly what I wanted. - they tell you what kind of adhesive they use (cyanoacrylate). Unlike the lash extension place in San Francisco who told me they don't give out the name or ingredients used in their adhesive. It has been about 10 minutes since my application and so far I feel no sensitivity. My lashes feel as light as a feather. As opposed to my first set of lashes, which gave me immediate discomfort and a "dry-eye" feeling. If you are ever in San Francisco, don't go to LASH LAb despite their reviews. The Pretty Box gives you the lash extension experience that you should have. No discomfort, lashes that suit your eye shape and lash built, and quick application ( it didn't even take an hour for my full set of lashes). Thank you Fria!
