This was the third and last time I'll come to Luxicure. The nail tech rushed my refill, did the bare minimum she could do for my nails and somehow charged me $60 for such a sloppy Job. There was absolutely no attention to detail and she left the underside of the nail un-filed and rough. I had to go home and fix it myself. I have never been so disappointed in a 'manicure'. I really needed a pedicure and decided to stop by on a weekday afternoon for a walk-in service. Upon arrival, the tech sweeping the floor obnoxiously groaned at the sight of an unexpected client. I should have just turned around and left at that kind of behavior, but I was desperate to have my feet fixed up. The pedicure chairs are worn and gross. There are nasty stains on the ceiling. 0 thought or care is put into the maintenance and decor. The tech rushed through the pedicure and was coughing up a lung the entire time. She excused herself more than once to have a coughing fit. It's 2023 - if you're sick, STAY HOME! The pedicure is fine. It's hard to mess up a basic pedicure. It was the very least she could do right. I did not tip and I will not be back. I advise readers to find another nail shop and avoid this place like the plague...unless you're one of those people who actively seeks it out. read more

First, My daughter got a full set of acrylics on and nail design. They looked really nice with a great job on the design. However, we went to have them removed at a salon closer to us and I was so upset to see how her nails were filed incredibly thin. The technician pointed out that this should have never happened. Her nails are so thin they hurt. Second, I had a gel mani and regular pedi. My technician did a nice job on my mani but it started to chip with in a couple of days. I have never had this happen before with gel. During my pedicure, I was cut twice and was bleeding. The polish on my toes started to come off in a couple days. I have been coming to Luxicure for a little over a year now & I walk out happy every time :) I get an acrylic & gel refill every two/three weeks with Oanh. She always offers suggestions on a colors or designs if I am unsure of what I want. The polish and designs always last on me! The girls & Andrew are welcoming and sweet to their customers every time I am in. The building is clean, calm and relaxing constantly. Any one of the nail technicians does amazing nails and designs. I've been here twice. The nails came out looking beautiful both times, no complaints there. And the interior is beautiful. But, I get acrylics and when I went to get my set removed, I really didn't like how they removed it. Instead of soaking the acrylics off, they just filed them down and used a nail tip to rip them off. The filing was painful in some spots, as well as the forced removal. This was my first and last time going to this shop. Coming into the shop and throughout my appointment there was such a negative tone. I received a full set and a pedicure. My pedicure was fine. However, as for my full set, the nails are uneven and not all the same shape. It was very rushed. The staff was very rude. When I asked one of the employees about the pricing another employee interjected the conversation in a very nasty way. I am disappointed with the experience as a whole especially since I am paying $50 for such a simple full set. I used to come here a lot but ever since they have been opened longer, the workers have become rude and will talk about their customers in such a negative tone. Each time I go it feels as though the appointment is rushed. The girl I had, I did not catch her name, was screaming across the room the whole time obnoxiously laughing and clearly talking badly about other customers (i had my translate on since I was curious). She then made my nails too short after I told her wanted to keep them long. I called back and the lady said I would have to pay $50 to get them fixed even though the technician who was working on me never asked my opinion on anything. Last time coming here for good. I liked this salon a lot and the nails turned out super good besides the paint!! The nail tech I had (didn't catch her name) was super nice and funny as well. The matte top coat is super messed up- wrinkles on 3 fingers and the whole pointer finger peeled off a couple hours after the appointment. I got little black hearts in gloss on my ring fingers but she did it in black gel rather than top coat so It didn't cure fully and now isn't really glossy anymore. I have been to this salon three times now, originally going on the recommendation of a friend. As many of the reviews mention, the salon is incredibly clean and they have impeccable sanitation habits. The first time that I went (7/6/22), I had a gel pedicure, and for my manicure, I had tips applied and dip powder. The technician was not overly friendly, but my nails were beautifully done and lasted for a trip to the shore and then some, which is not an easy feat! The second time that I went (7/23/22), it was a walk-in visit on a Saturday morning, and they accommodated me, which I very much appreciated. I had removed the tips and the dip powder myself, and had a gel manicure applied to my natural nails. I had the same technician as my prior visit - again, she was not friendly, but she did an excellent job with my nails. As expected, after about two weeks, the gel started to lift on my fingernails, and my gel pedicure from early July was looking worse for the wear, so I called on Wednesday, 8/3/22 to make an appointment for Thursday, 8/4/22. The woman answering the phone asked if I could come in immediately. I preferred the Thursday appointment, but I figured if they had the opening, I would take it. Unfortunately, I felt rushed through the entire appointment, as if they were just squeezing me in, which I did not ask for and which was totally unnecessary. I had cut my nails prior to the appointment because they were weak and brittle, and the technician did not really file or shape them, making them still sharp at the corners. When I arrived home, I noticed that there was polish on the skin around my toes, and the nail on my index toe is crooked. However, the worst part is that the gel on my index fingers peeled off on Friday afternoon. That's only a little over 2 days, and it completely came off of my finger on both hands. I paid $76 plus a $10 tip for the manicure and pedicure, so this development was disappointing to say the least! Especially since my nails lasted so long after the first 2 visits. One other quirky thing about this place - they do not let you see all of the nail polish colors they have and then choose a color. You have to know what color you want, and then they bring over 1 or 2 bottles for you to choose from. Not a big deal, I could, of course, keep asking them to bring over different bottles until they get it right, but I have been to several nail salons and never encountered this practice. In short, I may be willing to try again based on my first two experiences, but paying $30 for a gel manicure that comes off in 2 days is a deterrent. read more

The way he pulled them off hurt me. He was very rough the entire time as well and the polish does not look good. I only got them done yesterday and it looks at least a week old. The other staff members there also seemed very stand offish and were not polite or pleasant like salon staff usually is. The prices are too high for the poor service. I started coming to Luxicure shortly after they opened and I've been a customer ever since. I immediately noticed a difference from nail salons I visited in the past. It was bright, clean and peaceful. The nail techs were all friendly, talking as little or as much as I liked. Peaceful music filled the environment. No televisions, so it really becomes a much needed break from the outside noise. The cleanliness is top tier. All of the supplies are taken out of brand new packaging (unlike other salons that throw tools in a disinfectant solution). Even the pedicure basins are lined with plastic and disposable jets used for the bubbles. They always have the latest colors and brands you trust (ie. OPI, Essie and China Glaze...) and the end result is a very professional look. I have gone to a salon or two since discovering Luxicure and the result is always subpar. I went back to try the MiniLux Pedicure, and it's WORTH IT! Numerous nail salons will give you a pedicure menu with dozens of options, many of which are difficult to distinguish, then you end up only getting an extra 15 minutes of service for double the cost. Luxicure is NOT one of those places. They offer two pedicures; Classic and MiniLux. Pros to the MiniLux Pedicure - My upgraded pedicure lasted a little over an hour versus the 30 minute Classic pedicure. The price? It was $53 versus the $28 Classic, so I got more than double the service for less than double the price! - You may choose from 3 scents. I selected the Chamomile, which gave a strong scent throughout the whole pedicure and was delightful! They only like to buy products made in the USA and Korea to ensure high-quality versus the stuff "Made in China" only. This is a bonus in my book! - The massage chairs are wonderful! The pressure was so good that I could feel it working my back well through my layered t-shirt and sweatshirt. It felt like someone rubbing their fist up and down my back like a real massage. I also liked that they set my chair time to over an hour so that I didn't have to mess with the controls nor restart it every 15-20 minutes. It's the little things that make their customer service so wonderful! Speaking of... - Their customer service is amazing. You can tell they enjoy and care about what they do, and they want you to know it. They always help move your items when getting in and out of the chair, make sure to give you bottled water, ask about the water temperature, ask if the massage chair is ok, and tell you about their products and cleanliness processes. They have never tried to up-sell me. I rarely get manicures, only pedicures, and I've never felt pressured to get a mani. One of the things I really like is how polite the entire staff is to customers. I usually cut my nails short before I go (the polish lasts longer due to working out in tennis shoes a lot) and nail salons ALWAYS make a comment to me about why they are so short and make it weird, but Ana was wonderful. I told her upfront I like to cut mine short and I had a couple of sores from snowboarding, but she said no worries and worked just fine. So sweet and no snarky comments! :) - HERE'S WHY THE MINILUX IS REALLY WORTH IT: THE MASSAGE!! As with my Classic pedicure previously, I had Ana as the pedicure technician. She's WONDERFUL! If you have paid for an upgraded pedicure at other places to get the massage included, you know the massage part typically lasts 10-15 minutes and all at one time. Ana massaged throughout the entire pedicure. She spent at least half the time I was there (so 30+ minutes) massaging my feet and lower legs whether it was using the sugar scrub or lotions. If she wasn't painting, clipping, or washing, she was massaging! She massaged every step of the way! Which leads me to.... - The 6-step MiniLux process is wonderful. You start with a long soak in the lovely scent YOU selected. Second, they put a sugar scrub all over your legs and feet. MASSAGE. Ahhhh. Third, they add a foot mask. MASSAGE. Keeps getting better. Fourth, they add a massage cream and MASSAGE. Relaxed and almost asleep by now. Fifth, they had another cream and MASSAGE. Sixth, they add a heel balm that is thicker than lotion and rub it in. MASSAGE. As I stated before, Ana massaged over half the time I was there, and it was continuous with each step, so by the end of the pedicure, I was almost asleep. This is definitely the most massaging I've had in a pedicure, and it felt like a real massage. She massaged every part of my lower leg, heels, mid-foot, upper foot, and each toe. It was heavenly! She always took her time and never rushed the massage parts. - Lastly, my feet are MUCH softer after the MiniLux than the Classic pedicure, so you know it works! If you have the time, get the MiniLux pedicure. If you don't have the time or just need a quick pedicure, go for the Classic. The instrumental music that plays in the background is upbeat, not too fast or slow. It reminds me of sitting by the ocean in Mexico and relaxing, a bit tropical, but soothing. Came on Tuesday based the pictures of the work i've seen, and was so glad that I did. The salon was cool, good music, nice vibe. I enjoyed my visit. Yesterday, literally one day after, I noticed the design on my nails starting to literally peel off, and darken. I had a 3D croc design. So I called and let them know, and was asked when I could come back. We agreed on a time, everything was fine. I drive literally 57 minutes to come back to the salon to have my design fixed. Only to feel like I was being blamed for why my nails weren't right, I never once blamed the tech who did my nails, I just asked that they be fixed. I have a major event tomorrow which is the entire reason I came in. I was told since I wanted them to redo the design, that again was LITERALLY peeling off, then I would have to pay because a different person had to do it. I was never told on the phone that the person who did my nails was "off today". Had I been told I would have waited until the next morning when he would be there. The girl agreed it was a miscommunication and STILL I was the one responsible for paying more money. Now $105 later for a service that was originally $70. I tipped the original person $15. Paid $15 for my nails to simple be done the correct way, and also left a tip for the person who fixed them, because I genuinely do understand the service industry. As someone who runs a business, myself. I would have never treated a customer the way I was treated to do, made them feel the way I felt today. I am not a hard person to please, I'm so nice and so understanding, but today I wasn't able to be that person because of the attitude I got today & that's not okay. The girl who was the one in charge of resolving the issue didn't even check back in to see what was done, if I was happier now, to apologize for the situation, nothing. She was combative and really made me feel like crap honestly. I've never almost had an anxiety attack the way I did today, at a nail salon. I really wanted this to be my new go to place, but I'll never come back here again, just off the experience my second time. Andrew & the girl, I forgot to ask her name, but the one who corrected my nails, they did great overall. I don't have any issues with them. But if that person that I interacted with, is the manager, or owner, or the whatever, her customer service needs a lot of work. Right is right & wrong is wrong. It was no one's fault in particular why the nails needed repair, but she sure made me feel like it was 100% my fault. And I didn't even get so much as an apology from her at all, & she literally could see how upset I was & how emotional the experience was making me. I'm sorry, but that's unprofessional. Im someone who doesn't care about cost when it comes to my nails, I like what I like, and I don't mind traveling, if I like it that much. I honestly probably wouldn't would have gone back & gave them another try, if I could have gotten a simple apology. She wouldn't even look my way. My nails don't look terrible but they are a little lumpy & there's some bubbles in the polish. It looks like I'm going to need a refill in a week because of the gaps but I really don't mind because I think I'm going to be so sick of these after a week lol. I would've given them 4 stars because the place is clean & every other nail tech seemed to know what they were doing but all of my fingers are cut & so sore. What I liked the most is that I saw a lot of men come in and out. I spoke to the owner and he said that he makes sure that no one is intimidated or embarrassed by getting a service there! So my daughter got a full set acrylic with gel polish, 1 design on 2 fingers and rhinestone on 2 fingers and her bill was a WHOPPING $120. Nail artist aren't even charging that. The breakdown Lin gave me didn't even add up and was $25 less than what my daughter paid. She then said oh we charge $25 for the long length. NOBODY is charging that. Robbery. This is the breakdown they gave me $45 for full set, $35 for rhinestone on 2 fingers, $25 for long length , and $15 for design which was painting hf the nail black and other half white. My FAVORITE nail salon!!!!!! Excellent end result, immaculate salon, friendly & professional staff, no chemical smell, tons of color choices, amazing nail art designs. I am extremely critical of manicures because I want my nails to be perfect, so for me to be pleased with my high standards is really remarkable!!!!! My daughter and I visit often, she is a preteen and they treat her wonderfully, patient with her when she is trying to pick a color and duplicates whatever design she shows them a picture of, which is really amazing because of her small nails. They clarify with her if they need to change the design a bit, etc. I am always pleased with my gels, they last 2+ weeks. My Mom joined us for Mother's day mani/pedi, she was blown away at the fresh air and not the usual chemical smell, how clean the salon was, how nice and helpful the staff was, the changing lights at the pedi station, and she loved her nails and toes.
