0 Stars - Absolutely Terrible Experience. Do Not Use This Company This company completely ruined my first international trip, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. I traveled to the Dominican Republic for a family friend's wedding and used the travel agent recommended by the couple, Kawaljeet Singh. That was a huge mistake. From the start, the entire experience lacked any decent customer service and delayed notification about travel requirements. Despite confirming specific room details with Kawaljeet (and even having signed confirmation), we were given a completely different room when we arrived. The hotel staff needed him to correct the booking, but he was conveniently not available and once in communication days later completely unhelpful and refused to take responsibility even when shown proof of his mistake. Worse, he doubled down and insisted he was right, refused to reimburse us, and essentially left us stranded with no support. Once you're at your destination, they completely stop caring because they've already been paid.The service was unprofessional, unresponsive, and downright negligent. Do not fall for the illusions on their website this is not a reliable travel agency. If something goes wrong, you're on your own.I will never use this company again, and I strongly suggest planning your trip yourself or going through a more reputable, responsive travel service. read more

Dont go with luxe destination they pretty much make you plan everything with the destination planner. Was told we didnt have to pay anymore only to dind put from the destination coordinator that we have more to pay! Flight reservation were delivered so late couldnt even book seats for my parents, i had to call the sunwing/westjet to find put the problem. Try not to prioritize going on wedding with your client without finalizing your other clients wedding 1 week before there big day!! Unbelievable!!! Our first opportunity to work this group and was little apprehensive in the beginning but that quickly changed after communicating with P. Sofat who answered my questions about the resort, venue, ground transportation, air travel and local amenities near the resort location. He has answered every email expeditiously as well as telephone calls. We are excited about our visit to the resort in April to celebrate our godson's wedding. read more

I am one week away from getting married in Cancun, Mexico. We have approximately 80 guests traveling from multiple countries to attend. The resort we chose, partnered with Luxe Destination Weddings for group travel bookings. We were assigned Mikey Callaghan as our designated travel coordinator. I can honestly say that the wedding planning has been a bit rocky with the resort, HOWEVER, the travel arrangements have been as smooth as anyone could hope for. Mikey has been so incredibly wonderful to work with. He is compassionate, funny, attentive, and extremely accommodating. He did an excellent job sending out necessary information to our guests throughout the entire process and has been wonderful at noting special accommodations as requested. Mikey has been flexible, understanding, and helpful given numerous unforeseen circumstances that have come up for some of our guests throughout this planning process. We also had a great time utilizing the website template they provided for our wedding guests. We had a lot of fun and made it our own. I would have to say that Mikey's biggest strength through this whole process has been communication. He has been extremely prompt in communicating with me and just "checking in." Given the nature of the industry he works in, he does travel frequently, however, he does such a good job at communicating his absence from the office prior to any of his trips. That small gesture of an email prior to a trip, versus receiving a bounce back out of office memo, really helped take his service to the next level in my book. We are very grateful for Mikey at Luxe Destination Weddings, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to plan a larger destination wedding in the future. I am a guest at a wedding coming up next year. We recently had to put down a deposit to secure our place. I completed a authorization form for $200 and was charged $800. The company does not seem to feel that fraudulently charging credit cards is worthy of any consideration at this point and being a wedding I have no choice but to keep my reservation. My husband and I used Luxe to plan our destination wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica and it was one of our best decisions in the entire process! We had a fairly large destination wedding with 130 guests total who attended. We worked with Ashley who did a great job coordinating travel for a large portion of our guests, some which included airfare and transfers and others that were resort only. There were different options for our guests in the travel package, which was super helpful & accommodating. On the wedding planning side, we worked with Alexandra who honestly made our wedding day exceed anything we ever could have expected or wanted. Having her in Jamaica along with her colleague, Meghan, was such a huge help and relief as they helped & took care of everything from working with the wedding team at the Hilton Rose Hall to meeting with our DJ & decor company with us. We are so grateful to the entire Luxe team for everything they did to make our wedding day (and week) so incredibly special. We highly recommend their services to anyone considering help with a destination wedding - trust me, it will make the entire process so much more fun & (mostly) stress-free! read more

In a nutshell they are slow. They take 48 hours to respond and because of that prices change and my cost increased by 23% from what they quoted. They use that as an excuse and are not who I would ever use again. They do tel you prices change but obviously if they would move quicker than two days it wouldn't be so frustrating. Also since you book through them and not the resort you don't get as nice a place if you had booked it through the resort itself. I was a guest and not a the couple getting married. read more

This is absolutely the worst destination planning service in galaxy. My fiance and I paid $1,565 to have this company plan our wedding. I either got the most mentally inept wedding planner alive or the entire business is run by unethical and corrupt people. My planer was unresponsive and I'd had to track her down via complaints when following up about progress. They only respond when you complain (after repeated attempts to get in contact with them). They have a no-refund stipulation in their contracts, so if you aren't satisfied with their work, which is most likely to happen you cannot even get a partial refund for the bad service. To start, my planner (Anne B.) would never send information when she said she would (if at all) - I mostly had to follow up or track her down for a response. Weeks could go by and no updates or follow up on her end regarding progress. And, when I did get response (after a complaint) the information was poorly researched. After I had enough of their poor service, I had to argue with her manager (Amanda M.) over why I felt I should get at least a partial refund. Long, horrible story short, I ended up planning my wedding here in Chicago, but lost money I would've used to hire a better planner here. On an additional note, the service and experience I had with Luxe was so horrendous, I ended up having to go into detail on my personal blog to warn other hopeful destination brides to stay away from this place. You'd be better off planning such an affair by yourself . You can coordinate everything just as smoothly with the hotel's event coordinator (which is essentially all you're paying a place like Luxe to do anyway) read more

Alexandra Campbell and Sierra Aquino are wonderful! I would highly recommend to any of my friends getting married. Luxe Destination found us an amazing resort, negotiated pricings and guided us through the whole wedding. Sierra was my travel coordinator and helped to book the rooms for my guest. Alexandra helped with the wedding coordination with the resort we were using. I was a bit leery on how smooth this transition will go. But Jeff and I were beyond happy. My fiance and I inquired with Luxe over a year ago and we have had the best wedding planning experience with every planner with have come across there. We met with Jessica initially and were very impressed with the quick and warm introduction of Luxe that we knew we wanted to go through them. We then worked with Mandy and Alexandra and we cannot praise these too enough. These two were such a pleasure to work with. Every conversation was informative, pleasant, professional, and filled with excitement. Mandy knew EVERYTHING about the different destinations and hotels (we had zero clue as to where we wanted to go) and she helped us find a hotel within a week! Alexandra was our wedding planner and she gave me the wedding of my dreams. Literally took my breath away. I witnessed other brides meeting with the wedding coordinators on site, not having had a liaison like Luxe with the resort and they looked beyond stressed, frustrated, and ready to burst into tears. Living in the area I have met many of the staff who have always been so nice, that I can't believe some of the negative reviews. I booked my wedding at Royalton Riviera Cancun with LUXE Destination weddings and it was actually perfect, I mean sooooo gorgeous! I highly recommend LUXE to any brides looking for help with their destination wedding, I seriously could not have done it without them. We were so happy with Christy and Emily and all the help that we had. They were there every step of the way from all of the big details to the tiny little ones that I never would have even thought of. I don't know how anyone could plan a wedding away without them. My guests said that it was beyond the best resort and wedding that they'd ever been to. It was the best week of my life, everyone who came agreed. My only regret is that we didn't book longer! I am starting to think that yelp is removing good reviews. My wife and I initially came by LUXE since we lived in the Liberty Village area and noticed their office. We made an appointment for a consultation and ended up hiring them to plan our wedding for April 2014. I really can't say anything negative about the team there. Everyone was always more than friendly, even to our dog that always came along to our meetings. They do have different specialized teams there so you don't work with just one person. We started working with Mandy to help us narrow down the options for hotels and destinations. We already knew we wanted to go to Jamaica and ended up booking the Royalton. Previous to that, we had walked into several different travel agencies who couldn't tell us anything close to the information and expertise that Mandy gave us. My wife actually sent the Client Relations Director a formal recommendation for Mandy that they could use as she liked her so much. We were then assigned to Jackie to help all of our friends and family with their bookings. We didn't have any issues with response times (I have read other reviews here which many seem over the top), and we felt she went above our initial expectations. The only annoying part about the travel were when our guests would contact us with questions, we just sent everything over to Jackie and she took care of it (what we hired them to do) Alexandra was our wedding planner. As a groom, I wasn't too involved here. I can say that my wife LOVED Alexandra, and I loved that she helped us save money on the wedding with great ideas. The wedding was awesome, everything was planned for us before we got there and the wedding coordinator at the hotel was great. Best decision we made was to have a destination wedding and I think that hiring LUXE was a huge factor in how amazing it turned out. My husband and I recently went through Luxe to plan and book our honeymoon. We planned our wedding ourselves, so when it came time to plan our honeymoon, we really needed some help. I knew of other people who had a good experience with Luxe so I decided to contact them. I initially spoke with Jessica and she referred me to one of the senior advisors Mandy. I told her what our honeymoon vision was and she delivered exactly that. She handled absolutely every detail - coordinated, organized and booked everything for us, and we had the best honeymoon! I was very grateful to have such a warm and easy experience and therefore a great honeymoon because of Luxe!! read more

I had a similar experience as Raven M did with Luxe (almost to the tee). The service was so bad that we ended up leaving them half way through and planning the wedding on our own. We lost some money, but better than staying with them and risk everything falling apart. When I posted an honest review of them on another blog shortly after, they threatened legal action against me for "slander" unless I removed it. A very sneaky way of scaring people from spreading bad word of mouth. It's crazy to think that this is where they focus their efforts, rather than on providing a good experience for their customers. My advice would be to stay far away from Luxe. It's just not worth the aggravation of dealing with them. You can find better travel rates on your own and the wedding planner at the resort does a great job of taking care of all your wedding details for no extra charge. read more

I would like to start by saying I wish there was an option to have 0 stars. This is worse company I have ever done business with. Here's my story...My fiance and I chose a destination wedding in Mexico. Since we both have demanding jobs we decided to use a travel agent to help coordinate everyone's trip. Good decision on our part since we have 65 people attending from all over the US. It was my decision to use LUXE Destination weddings because of their "connections" with our resort. Once we signed up we were tossed to two people and ended up with Jessika. Jessika was the most obnoxious person to work with. She sent out emails detailing our wedding and travel arrangements that were not correct and quite frankly sounded like a computer wrote them, Siri has more compassion... I let her send one email before requiring that she send them to me for approval first. You would think as a travel agent there would be reminder emails sent out every once in while to say "Hey guys just want to remind you there is month left for deposits" but she didn't. I would have to send them. Then Jessika would take a week off every month along with a few sporadic days here and there (must be nice).... She would never put her away message on so no one knew she was not in the office. So their questions where just ignored for the week she was gone as well the following week, because it took her at least 7 working days to respond to your email. Once we started to send out CC authorizations for deposits, our quests would send them back, with no response. So no one new if she had the authorization or if they had a room or anything. At the very beginning of this my fiance and I put down a $6000.00 for a room block for our guests. This held 20 rooms. Now the deal was when guest book their rooms they put down their own deposit relieving our responsibility for that one room.... Well Ms smarty pants told people that they did not need to put their own deposit down bc we (my fiance and I) had done it already....I'm sorry...WHAT?!?!?! So there was deadline for our guests to put their deposit down. I literally started a count down...my emails (bc again remember Jessika would not send any) said, "ok guys we 6 days, ok guys 5 days and so on..." Well guess what... Jessika went on vacation the last two days of our due date..No one knew...no one got a response for a week and half!!! SO..all of our guests called me... everyday my phone was ringing off the hook because no one could reach our travel agent... Now the kicker.... After I have complained and complained about Jessika...She quits. BUT..... not before she fucked us one last time.... She quit about three days before our final payment was to be made. AND again no automatic message was sent...ALL 65 OF OUR GUEST ARE NOW CALLING ME! Awesome! I sent email after email and finally the following Friday I called. The lady on the phone proceeds to tell me Jessika is no longer with their company and I would have a new rep with LUXE reaching out me soon.... which sounded awesome at the time.. So I think I waited until Wednesday when I didn't receive a call or email from our NEW REP to send out an email which copied everyone I could think of. At this point our final payment was due over a week ago. No one has been charged, no one has been contacted...no one, not even me THE BRIDE, has any clue what is going on. I finally got a call from a manager saying they will extend our due date and all is well and wonderful in world.. The last email we received was over a week ago. Stating everyone has been charged and explaining our final payment amount (our card is the last to be charged bc they have to wait on all of guests to pay) . We replied with a few questions, but have not received a response yet..It is now approximately a month past our final due date payment. My mother just called this morning to let me know she emailed our new rep about her payment not being applied, and this morning she had a credit in the total amount of her stay refunded to her CC-?????? Then in the middle of my mom telling me this, my uncle calls...I bet you can guess this one- his card was not charged nor was my grandmothers... Wonderful. I could have done this all myself. I sent out the email communications set up the excel sheets and followed up with all of guests. I get all the calls about LUXE's mess ups...The best part is, LUXE gets 20% commission off our 65 guests....For what??? Thank god we only hired them for our travel and nothing with the wedding itself. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY read more

We recently got married in beautiful Cancun Mexico, using Luxe to plan and organize everything, and our experience was great! Christy and Alexandra were wonderful to work with; professional, accurate, responsive and friendly. I will admit there were some tiny issues on the travel side of things (guests names not spelled exactly right on the booking, etc), but all mistakes were quickly corrected by Luxe. Christy replaced our original travel agent and things progressed much smoother after that. As far as we are aware, in the end every one of our guests travelled without issue. As for the wedding planning aspect, Alexandra deserves an award for her service! We had an initial sit-down with her for about half an hour, and talked about very general things such as estimated number of guests, ceremony location (beach/chapel/rooftop), table arrangement, colours, flowers, drinks, etc. just so she had a basic understanding of what we were looking for. Then everything else was done through email and phone. Luxe supplied us with a myriad of information on resorts we could choose from. That was really the only tough part for us, but once we settled on the beautiful Royalton Riviera Cancun, Alexandra took over everything and built us the wedding of our dreams. That's not to say we weren't fully involved along the way, but all we had to do was make choices based on the available options she presented us with. It was Alexandra who acquired all the information and coordinated everything with the resort flawlessly. If we had had to do all that ourselves, we likely would have had a very stressful year. At the resort, our on-site wedding coordinator was fully prepared with all the exact information Alexandra had ordered, and verified that everything was correct with us the day we arrived. The wedding itself went off without a hitch! Many of our guests even said it was the best wedding they had ever attended! If we hadn't used Luxe, and Alexandra, I don't know how it would have ended up. We would highly recommend Luxe if you're thinking of a destination wedding! read more

The absolute most unprofessional, incompetent, shameless company that can possibly still be in business. The fact they still are is a testament that anyone choosing them to help "arrange" their wedding does not have the benefit nor care about any of the reviews seen here. As one of the other posters mentioned, the average score can't go lower than the 1 star, which is unfortunate as they're service was less than the 1 star minimum required. Firstly, I'd like to start by saying we're not high maintenance people. As long as people do somewhat what they say they're going to do, we're pretty happy for the most part. I only make sure to say this as most times when I read these posts, I always wonder how realistic these peoples expectation actually are. Aren't weren't high and we were disappointing by even that standard! We had to speak to 3 different representatives, each less competent than the last. Fine, it happens, good help is hard to find. We explained that we'd be travelling with our new born son for the first time and wanted to be upgraded to the Elite Plus. We also asked for some basic things to be provided by the hotel for our baby. Things like a crib and a quite room. We were told there was nothing they could do over the phone and we'd have to rake it up with the hotel at arrive. Weird but whatever. We were then told that they couldn't confirm the seats until the seating for the plane come out. When it did, we received an email asking to confirm the Elite Plus, which we did and were told it was all set, in May. Now in October, we're told by a new representative that NO ONE in the party of 35 has Elite Plus and well too bad, there was a mistake made and there's nothing they can do. Not the bride or groom, the older family members or babies have any reserved seats, even though we were told the seats were confirmed 6 MONTHS ago! In trying to escalate the situation, the customer service manager, Brenda was no help what so ever. Her go to response was yes they made a mistake but there's nothing they could do. No comps, no discounts, no alternative flights, nothing. When I asked to speak to the owners of the company she laughed at me and told me she was the last stop. So now we're left all flying in coach after spending all the time, effort and aggravation on a company who's sole reason for being is to book wedding packages. We would seriously have been better off booking online, getting the same price and actually getting what we asked for. Please, whatever you do, don't use this sham of a company to book your wedding. You don't want to take the chance and given their ratings, we're not the only ones! read more

We don't know where to begin in expressing our sincere thanks the Luxe Destination Wedding team. We honestly feel that our wedding was truly a dream come true. From our first interactions, we were impressed with the level of service and the attention to detail we received for our wedding planning. We always felt that ours was top of mind and special. The single greatest challenge during the entire planning process was the discovery that we were having a surprise baby a month before our original wedding date! We found out at the same time that our guests deposit was due to secure the trip & space. We were so pleased with how Luxe was able to navigate this surprise blessing. They worked directly with the tour operator and destination location to seamlessly shift the wedding by a year. In the end it all worked perfectly! With an extra guest! Our Wedding Coordinator was Alexandra, and she is a true professional. She is extremely organized and understood our vision and how to make the details become a reality. She had lots of great advice on where to invest in floral and decor and where you could save in order to stretch the budget in other areas. As two busy professionals, we did not have the time to coordinate directly with our resort to put together all of the details for our guests to enjoy an amazing week, plus the details of the wedding events. We did not want to have a standard wedding that the resort offers in their brochures. We wanted something very personal and very special. Having Alexandra work through the process with us and coordinate all of the contracts and details on our behalf was exactly what we wanted. Having Alexandra join us for the actual wedding itself was definitely money well invested to ensure we were relaxed as the bride & groom and that all of our guests enjoyed themselves! While the resort wedding team was very capable, having Alexandra attend really helped to ensure that we had special handling to realize all of the wedding details that we had planned. From the ceremony, to food & décor, it was a perfect day. The best part was the beach party at the end! She came up with a great solution to end the evening. I can't even begin to tell you how many of our guests expressed that this was the "best wedding ever". We had a good mix of everything, from black tie to beach. I would highly recommend using Luxe Destination Weddings. We only wish we could live it all over again! read more

Attended a 'destination' wedding in Cabo last week! In one word 'Perfect'!!

I'm dissapointed with Luxe.. The representative took very long to respond to any emails and wasn't very helpful. i received the flight itinerary a week before departure indicating that the flight from my city was a day earlier than originally scheduled. I have a layover in the connecting city for 12 hours and was told that i should book a hotel for the night - which isn't covered by luxe. Along with meals, this adds another $150- $200 to my already expensive trip. When I asked if I could change the flights, she said it would cost me more than staying at the hotel and if I couldn't afford the stay at the hotel, that I can sleep in the airport. I find this to be very rude. Avoid using Luxe. read more

I used Luxe to plan my wedding in Riveira Maya Mexico. When I started Luxe was very helpful in choosing a resort that fit our needs. And it was beautiful. All of our guests raved about it and it was wonderful. The wedding planning services were enough with the minimal package because my Planner Cindy was efficient and then passed me along to the hotel contact for more details. That part I was very happy with and would recommend to others. I would give 4 stars for that part. However, the reason I am disappointed in Luxe was the person who handled all of the travel arrangements for our guests Jackie. Her responses were always slow and vague. It was exactly what I didn't want to have which was guests contacting me about details because she would confuse people. Emails went unanswered or a robot response like your request is based on availability. Guests had multiple problems with our travel coordinator. Emails were sent out to our guests that a template had been used and parts were not changed, dates were wrong etc. Overall everything went great at the resort because it was perfect. The wedding coordinators that worked through Lomas travel were great. But I was very disappointed with the travel coordinator who unfortunately worked with every single guest. I recently got back from my destination wedding in Mexico and used Luxe as our wedding travel and planning coordinator. I'll be honest, I didn't really see the value in their services. Initially we held some pretty high expectations after being promised a lot of perks of going with a certified wedding planner but we didn't really reap any of those benefits. In the beginning we were introduced to a travel coordinator who was to recommend destinations that would suit our taste and budget. I believe they have a select few destinations that they typically recommend (based on their partnerships with the resorts) and so I found myself doing a lot more research on my own to find a good resort. Once we finally settled on a resort, we were expecting our travel coordinator to find us some good group rates. Luxe also fell short on this expectation because I was able to find much cheaper rates than the ones they were providing me with. They then had to match the rate I found when it came time for my guests to book.The travel coordinator we were assigned to, Samantha, was probably fresh out of school because she didn't seem to know too much. We were promised some perks in the beginning (ie. bride and groom stay free if we book 15 rooms) but in the end they never honoured them. She quit soon after due to "work stress" so we were assigned to Anne who was very friendly and forthcoming. Nonetheless, I strongly feel that I could have done all of this myself. Additionally, I found myself waiting for days, sometimes weeks for a response. The other side of Luxe focuses on the Wedding Planning - food, décor, ceremony setup, etc. We were assigned to Laura who was very friendly but not very proactive. I found myself doing a lot of research on my own and then simply providing her info on what I wanted. If I had any questions, she would contact the resort to get the answers for me - something I could do myself. Her only job was to keep updating my wedding detail sheet with all the information I provided her with - again, something I could have done on my own. For any brides out there looking to plan a destination wedding, there are online comment boards (specifically at bestdestinationwedding.com) with other brides who provide valuable insight and advice on virtually every wedding destination/resort out there. I found those boards and the comments from hundreds of brides a lot more helpful and responsive than Luxe and heavily relied on these websites when I was planning my wedding. Also, once I arrived at my wedding resort, the onsite wedding coordinators were MUCH more helpful and accommodating. There were things that LUXE was charging me extra for that the onsite coordinators did for free! I guess that's Luxe's way of making money. I wish I had dealt with the onsite coordinators myself - I'm sure I could have saved a few hundred dollars. In my opinion, Luxe is more of the middleman. Don't get me wrong, the staff was great and very friendly but for the amount of money I spent with them I didn't feel like I got my ROI. They're for people who have a lot of money to spend, who don't have enough time to plan their wedding and don't care too much about detail...Although I don't really think there are many brides out there like that. I wanted my wedding to perfect and I strongly feel that if I were to rely on LUXE alone, my wedding would not have gone as perfectly as it did. I attended a wedding that was organized by Luxe. Myself, and other guests had consistently bad reviews of their service. The travel agent we dealt with was unresponsive and simply not very competent. It wasn't until after we had paid, that we found out that travel insurance was included in the amount and that it wasn't an option to buy our own travel insurance. I only found out that the insurance was included in the amount we were charged by looking at the invoice, not because the agent explained what we were being charged for. Though we were forced to buy their insurance, no information was given as to what the policy number is, or what we are to do in the event of a medical emergency. When we asked if we could have these details, no response was given. Thank goodness we didn't need it on the trip. With the poor service of this company contrasted by the ease of booking travel yourself, it is a wonder that travel agencies still exist. read more

Overall the experience has been rocky. My sister is the bride and they originally sold her on a Sunwing vacation in Cuba at a resort that was having issues providing running water and electricity to their guests and was also experiencing a major outbreak of the Norovirus. They did not share any of this information with us and we had to find out from the news! We insisted they transfer our deposit as it is their job to vet these locations first! They finally did transfer it to a different provider and a different country which I do credit them for however feel that we wouldn't have had this issue if they had done their homework before recommending. There is no consistency as we have had 3 different account managers in less than a year which makes it confusing for who to contact and also to locate information. Our newest contact was so kind to say we could contact her for assistance but failed to include a phone number or complete signature block in her email which could be considered unprofessional. Not sure I would use this provider though I have no other travel agents / destination wedding planners to compare to so maybe this is normal?? They seem to try but be inefect read more

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE PLAN YOUR WEDDING! They are completely Incompetent when it comes to travel arrangements. All of our family and friends had a terrible time booking and arranging their travel. Not to mention they were all able to find cheaper deals with random internet searching. They are complete amateurs. They told us that we were getting a free 11th room and then charged us a deposit for it. When we were unable to fill it, they would not refund the deposit saying that their supplier Apple Vacations would not allow it. Every mistake that was made was their suppliers fault and they never offered anything but excuses when they arose. Avoid like the plague. If you are reading this too late and have already paid them at least let Alexandra plan the wedding portion. That way you can at least attempt to salvage what would otherwise be a nightmare. read more

When I decided to have a destination wedding, I was lost on where to start. Finding a destination within your budget and your guests budget might be one of the toughest decisions. Not to mention with all of the destinations out there, it can be quite overwhelming. LUXE was able to help me narrow down the best places. The biggest frustration was going through 3 different travel coordinators, as my previous two had a leave of absence with no warning. They did a decent job with updating the new travel coordinator, but as a bride to be, you tend to get attached quickly. Then, having to explain my vision multiple times was irritating. I assume my situation of having 3 different coordinators was rare, but still.... To be honest, the travel and booking services are not necessary. It's actually easier to call the hotel directly and do your room block directly with them. It would probably be easier for your guests as well. I had many guests complain about the process and set up. But I had to go through their travel coordinator services in order to use their wedding planning services. Which was what I was truly looking for. Help researching islands and wedding planning. With that said, my wedding planner Emily Scott, was more than I could have ever asked for. I would give her 5 stars. LOVED HER! You will quickly learn that planning a destination wedding is extremely frustrating when dealing with "island time". Coming from the states and being extremely type A, it was difficult to wait for a response. Emily was able to step in and calm my nerves immediately. Even if she didn't have an answer for me, she would respond letting me know she was on it. Having some form of communication is better than no reply at all. Emily was very considerate and kept me within my budget and letting me know where I could splurge or where she thought I should cut back. Emily has such a great eye and it was easy to imagine what she envisioned for me. I loved her input and suggestions. By the time I arrived at the destination, there wasn't much to do except to do a walk through. The wedding was, by far, better than what I could have ever imagined. A million thanks to Emily! As you will come to find out, planning a wedding is a full time job in itself. And if you are like me, having a full time job and coaching evenings, it was difficult to make calls during normal working hours. I highly recommend LUXE, especially if you are extremely detail oriented with little time to plan. read more

I myself have experienced the same poor customer service as many others. I paid $1800 and was on edge for the entire year I was planning my wedding. My guest complained that the travel coordinator was unresponsive which is true because I myself could never get a hold of her, until i couldn't take it anymore and had to come in personally to complain of the situation. (Anne) - the travel coordinator is a complete joke. I could have saved myself the stress and planned everything with the coordinator on site at the resort, Also I think brides to be should know, you will never meet face to face with anyone from the company, all planning is 90% email 10% over the phone, I believe this is where the disconnect lies..... ( LUXE please do not reply to my message with a follow up apology everything i have said is true, and i have the emails to prove it. Your company needs a total REVAMP of it's staff, and training on customer service) I will only praise Alexandra the (wedding planner) she was a sweetheart, at times when i had no clue who to escalate my complaints and frustrations to she was there to help. I honestly dealt with 5 girls from the company, I don't understand the need to be passed to so many different agents with different job titles. ONE person should take care of your needs from beginning to end. I had one travel coordinator by the name of Jamie who up and disappeared. For weeks I emailed her and called, no one formally reached out to me to advise she was no longer with the company.I just sort of found out once they said you will be now be dealing with Anne. I had my wedding at DREAMS PUNTA CANA, my wedding coordinator was Carolina, she did everything as planned she was a doll, and nothing would have gone as planned if it wasn't for her hard work. If I could give this company a negative star I would. I have never been so dissatisfied with a company, and felt so taken advantage of. All they want is your money. The travel account MANAGER, Jackie Courbet, is the rudest and least informative person I have ever had to deal with. They tried to scam the bride and groom out of thousands of dollars, and they would not budge until they threatened to get an attorney. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS TRAVEL AGENCY. If you do, you will most likely be out hundreds if not thousands of dollars. The customer service is the worst! they never return calls or emails and when they do, they give one word answers. I strongly and highly recommend this company to anyone considering a destination wedding. They truly are the experts. They helped answer all my initial and many questions. Helped us choose a destination, resort and airline to accommodate our entire group for this big trip. We then were assigned a wedding planner who helped us coordinate all of the wedding details with the resort directly. Both the trip and wedding were a perfecr success and cannot thank them enough for everything they did leading up until the big day. I don't know what I would have done without LUXE! Originally I went to several different travel agencies to look into the first steps - and what a nightmare. The staff was phenomenal, overall, and supported our ideas in making our wedding day so special and memorable. We were blessed to have worked closely with Jackie and Alexandra. They were always behind us 100% and I don't know that we could have done it without them! The group booking is by far the hardest part. My family is not the most easy going but Jackie was so quick and eficient and always handled any issues with grace. If I can give any future brides advice it is to not care what anyone thinks about traveling - it is your wedding!! I am also not the easiest person to deal with. I had sent Alexandra countless emails not to mention the tears I shed to her on the phone. She was always there with a quick response or just to listen, she is a huge assest to the company. My wife and I originally started off with Lizzie as our Travel Coordinator and Alexandra as our Planner. Everything was going great until Lizzie left to go on maternity leave. Then we had a few issues with the following two coordinators but all in all everything worked out fine when it came to the travel arrangements. As for Alexandra, she was amazing. With quick responses to our emails she made the planning a breeze. Coordinating with our planner in Mexico they made our wedding a magical night. They were able to grant our wishes and also tossed in a few extra bonuses. read more
