He was so easy to work with - very responsive and provided a lot of creative suggestions. On the day of our engagement shoot, he spent the whole afternoon with us and waited for the sun to set to get our shot with sparklers. In between shots he asked us questions and really tried to get to know us. We loved our engagement photos and we're excited to have him as our photographer at our wedding (side note: our engagement shoot was featured on a blog). Fast forward to our wedding - we couldn't have asked for a more dedicated team! It was one of the wettest days of the year but Ryan and his second shooter did not let that stop them from getting the best shots. They were in and out of the rain, braving the elements to ensure that we had our special moments captured. We have this amazing rainy day photo that everyone is in awe of - you'll have to check out his website to see it! Aside from taking amazing photos, we really felt comfortable with Ryan and trusted that he would capture our day beautifully. We now have the task of going through a ton of amazing shots - my "best ofs" album has over 600 photos! The studio is small and very personable, one feels very relaxed and never pressured. I have 3 small children and the photos of them are absolutely priceless! Taking great pictures requires incredible patience and a great deal of talent and that is what the photographer at Tangerine excells in. In each of my 'shoots', there have been over 100 images taken; I have had the pleasure of being able to review these images at my home in my leisure time before making a decision as to which ones to keep and which to disgard. I also have found that Tangerine's prices are very competitive and what is promised, is delivered. So I wanted a photographer that would be able to capture the emotions of my (now) fiancée and the vibe of the moment, but with an artistic touch. I am so happy I found Neil, as the pictures came out exceeding my expectations. Neil is a gifted photographer who is able to use all the elements in the environment to capture beautiful pictures. As we were shooting, I could see him racking up his brain to find the perfect angle and elements in the background for his ideas. He was directing us precisely on how to pose and managed to get us looking really good even though we have no posing experience. Also, I had this whole elaborate plan to surprise my fiancée for the proposal and Neil was very patient and engaged in collaborating with me. Thanks to his willingness to play along, the plan worked out perfectly. It is also interesting to note that during that day, Neil suggested a last minute change in the plan that ended becoming the best decision made. That shows his great creativity and ressourcefulness. I just got my engagement pictures taken with Olive Studio by the photographer April Maciborka and…read morethe pictures turned out amazing! We took the photos in high park near Colborne House in mid-afternoon and we couldn't have gotten better results! This engagement session is part of the photography package that we have selected for our wedding. April is not only very talented and has an eye for photography but she also is very professional, personable and easy to work with. We felt very comfortable throughout the entire photo session never feeling rushed or uncomfortable. As a result, the pictures turned out very natural, documentary style, not cheesy or too posed. Although it only took an hour and a half, we had 5 different backgrounds and April worked with us until she felt that she got enough good shots as opposed to going by the clock. We did however have to schedule the session during a weekday but we lucked out in the weather and the location worked out really well for us. My fiance and I look forward to working with April again for our wedding in June. Stay tuned on an update. Her wedding packages begin at $2,800 for 8 hours plus tax.
