Also, what a cute business name?! have heard good things about Woof Gang in the past and when I walked in, I was immediately drawn to the table display of homemade treats. The two women working let me know that the treats are made fresh, in-house every day, which I wasn't expecting! I don't remember their names, but they were super friendly and helpful. They have 2 locations in the Raleigh-area, I believe. The parking in Cameron Village isn't always the greatest, but depending on the time you show up, you may still be able to snag a spot in front of the building. We walked away with a few frosted treats, a bag of their brand's treats, and a duck head (we heard these were so popular!). I think the prices were pretty fair considering this is a gourmet pet shop/groomer but did read a sign that said prices would be changing come 2021. I would definitely come back again! I'm so glad I checked Woof Gang out!

I drop my dog off, she's an older Maltipoo, and I get a call about an hour later saying she had a dryer seizure and in the "chaos and confusion" has somehow become injured and is bleeding from her head so they can't groom her. They say she may have bit her tongue, hit her head, they really have no idea what happened because it was just "so chaotic". That alone is absolutely ridiculous. My dog has been regularly groomed her whole life and has never once had any kind of seizure. She has lost 75% of her hearing in her older age. The whole idea behind a dryer seizure is that it is too loud and noisy and overstimulating. I go to pick my dog up and they are BLASTING music in the back grooming room. I mean truly so loud that you cannot even have a conversation up front when the door to the back is open. I see our groomer in the back with big noise cancelling headphones on, which I don't even blame her, even as a human being I would not be able to stand being in that room, yet they have the audacity to blame it on the dryers. I get my dog and she seems okay other than clearly wanting to get out of that place as soon as possible. She couldn't wait to get out the door. I then have to spend my time and money taking her to the vet to get checked out and there is no sign whatsoever that she bit her tongue, hit her head, bled at all anywhere, or had any kind of seizure which they cannot recreate. Either these people are full of it and not being straight about what happened or they're just extremely incompetent. Don't trust these people with your animals. Just go somewhere else.

First of all, I really like the name of this place, how cute... and brilliant. The Pawty haha! Secondly, I love the fact that this place doesn't cage dogs. I mean "grooming" is pretty stressful to dogs already, so caging them for hours and making them wait on us for a while? nope, not a big fan. I made an appointment with Keeley thru the phone and gosh, let me tell you this, she is the best/nicest groomer ever. When we got there, Teddy was too nervous and as soon as she picked him up, he pooped! I felt so bad but Keeley just laughed and tried so hard to make my dog feel comfortable. My dog has some kind of anxiety issue and when I met Keeley, I already knew that Teddys in good hands! I told Keeley what kind of haircut I wanted, things about Teddy, etc. I could tell Keeley truly cares about dogs and she will treat your dogs just like hers! She did such an amazing job with my little man Teddy and I was so impressed; perfect nails, poofy tails, his body hair looked so even, and oh my god, Teddy smelled so good for days!!! I think that for this kind of amazing job and the fact that my dog doesn't need to wait on me in the cage for hours, this price is very reasonable. Teddy and I just came back from our second visit today and Teddy seemed like he had such a great time with Keeley! Keeley always tells me how Teddy did, what I need to know about his coat and skin, and other little stuff I can miss easily. They did SUCH a good job clipping her nails. Even the vets we've seen in the past can't do a good job and sometimes miss nails altogether. They did a wonderful job. Would come back and skip the belly shave. Parking is a loading zone at the front of the shop. It's "downtown" Raleigh but like on the outskirts so it's not too busy and it isn't difficult to get a parking spot if you go in the morning. Drop off is between 8-10am. I dropped her off at 9 and they finished by around 3 (like 2:45 to be exact haha).

The last couple of times she groomed our dog there were a couple of issues, so the last time she came to our home to take care of our dog I brought those issues to her attention. A few days later she sent an email ending our "business relationship" because though our "complaints and concerns are valid" she "could not confirm or deny" what happened. I wish to point out that when I told her of these concerns that I was as polite as I could be with her, so that she was aware of what happened. In her email to us she expressed that she felt very anxious while working on our dog after our exchange. Which is part of the reason she quit. After 5 years of having her come to our house to groom our pet and having a pleasant business relationship we thought we had, we thought that bringing things like this to her attention would be nothing more than something for her to consider while working on our pet, regardless of whether she could confirm or deny what she was being being told.

They always greet us with a warm welcome although I don't know that they can be as excited as Figgy is to see them. She drags me to the door when we pull up and loves to hear "Do you want to go to SCHOOL?" Her ears perk up when she hears the word "school". The team gives me updates on her day and they even let her rest behind the desk if she overexerts herself. What original attracted me to PDO was their no-crate policy but what keeps us returning is the trust and service from the team.
