One of our dogs gets very anxious and aggressive around new people. It takes a long time for him to recognize new people as being safe. One of the caregivers came over for a temperament test and it didn't go well at all. I had high hopes that they could work with him but I quickly realized that they couldn't, and she agreed. The issue is the there is no guarantee that the same sitter will come to your home to watch your pets. I contacted them several months in advance and they still could not work with me to have one person watch my dogs. I understand that this is how they run their business and respect it. That said, I would only recommend them if your dogs are not anxious like mine and are okay with different people coming over to watch them.

They came out to meet the cats and get the instructions for the meds, etc. and off we went. Our friend noticed that "old cat" wasn't doing so hot, but was unable to leave work to take "old cat" to the vet immediately, so we were about to turn the car around and drive the 300 miles back, rather than finishing our vacation. That's when my wife saw that Kelly's Critters offered pet transportation too. We called and they took "old cat" to the vet and no exaggeration-saved his life. They started some new meds and "old cat" is on the mend. The cute videos they send when they visit are precious. They saved the kitty, and I think they saved my wife's heart and sanity. The quality of care was amazing and we'll definitely use them again.

In Dallas we were fortunate to always have family near by to take care of our dog but since moving we do not have that luxury. We visited several different boarders/kennels but felt more comfortable leaving our dog at home. Once Irene came to our house to meet us and Rudy, we knew right away we wanted to go with Irene. Rudy normally barks at strangers but not Irene. We were out of town for about 16 days, and this is the first time we've left our dog for this long. Irene came twice each day to walk and play with Rudy as well as take care of other things like turning on lights, getting the mail, taking out garbage etc. She did a fantastic job. She kept a daily journal that kept track of what she did and what Rudy did as well. We received text messages letting us know that everything was ok. We also had a situation come up that she needed to handle that involved finding documents in our house, making copies and overnighting a package which she did without delay which was very important to us. Highly recommend Irene and we will definitely be using her in the future.

We took him to Pampered Pooch last week, and he had the best haircut ever. He didn't seem stressed when we picked him up, and his nails were clipped, his ears clean, and the haircut was exactly as we had requested. Up until this grooming session, I always had to "fix" something when we got home. One time, when he went to one of the "big pet stores", he came home completely shaved except for a pouf on top of his head and tip of his tail. It took a year to grow back. It was nice that our little guy was the only one there, as it seems that other dogs barking frighten him. Jimmy did a great job with our dog, and we will definitely be returning!
