I had high hopes for Green Space, I'm a public teacher and have a degree in early education. I was…read morethrilled to find a place I thought aligned to my beliefs for child development, but it ultimately fell short. The director, Amanda, is unresponsive and dismissive, which sets the tone for the entire operation. Communication is inconsistent, and the operation is disorganized. The handbook lacks clarity. Policies contradict each other, and important information is often passed by "word of mouth." I liked most of the teachers; they genuinely cared and kept my son safe. However, the constant turnover made it difficult to establish a stable environment. My son had three different lead teachers in just five months. Safety concerns and inconsistencies. It was revealed to me, quietly of course, that there had been no fire drills during my son's time there. The hours changed from 7:30-6 to 9-4 unless paying extra. I also think there were time that the ratio wasn't correct. While I appreciate the efforts of some staff members, the leadership and organization issues make Green Space a place to avoid. I wasted time, money, and peace of mind. If you value stability and clear communication, look elsewhere. The Texas licensing page says that they provide snacks and the handbook says that they provide snacks. Apparently that's only the toddler class and older. And my final complaint, I sent an email to the owner at the end of October, three months after my child had started there, expressing all of my concerns and feedback. She never responded. Now that I have experienced a different daycare, one right across the street, I see how much Green Space was lacking.

I asked 3 different teachers what happened to him and was told different stories and had to end up by calling the police. When the police showed up they refused to show him the cameras pretending that only their head office has access to it and they have to send a request and this process will take few days. Also in our last day we figured out that teachers were giving our kids brand new pull ups to other kids. We had provided 24 brand new underwear for potty training but teachers have used most of them for other kids. Our toddlers never got any potty training even once. They were about to get started but never started. I felt it was my duty to warn any parents against taking their children to this daycare.

The daycare itself is very old and they DO NOT clean up, they say they have a cleaning crew but they don't sweep, mop or sanitize, they only take out the trash. If you want to mop yourself, there's never any cleaning supplies to do so. Pastor Nigel is passive aggressive, and will make manager decisions, but when you ask him about it he couldn't be bothered to indulge, he will redirect you to someone else in charge. He is too CHEAP to hire subs, and since teachers call out everyday, on top of them never wanting to hire new people, it often results in the remaining teachers to be out of ratio or change their entire schedule. It's clear to me that Nigel doesn't care about the daycare that's attached to his church. Speaking of teachers, even when they do rarely hire someone else, they ALWAYS hire openers, which left me and one other person to be closers, which often left me out of Ratio. They will also look for ways to terminate you. They fired me because I missed a lot of days of work, which is understandable, but there is a teacher currently working there who literally DISLOCATED a child's arm, and now she's acting like Assistant Director. The daycare itself is old and run down and desperately due for an upgrade. The rooms are too small, it gets too cold/hot, and it's also just really dirty in general. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because of the TEACHERS. They're some great people and I enjoyed working with them. Everything else is a bummer and it's no wonder they go through teachers so easily.

I needed to speak to the owner to resolve this matter and no response. This childcare is not operating in a professional manner when it comes to hiring their staff. This affects the effectiveness of how a business is run and that affects how the children and parents are treated. Putting new paint on and changing the look of the front of the building, does not improve the business and professionalism within the doors. LNC recently posted a position for an Assistant Director. The requirements never once mentioned the assistant position was required to have a Directors Certificate(even if one is required most new hires are given the probationary employement to recieve required certificates ie food handlers, CPR etc... and if not employers post those specific requires and discuss them as a contingency doc need at time of interview and the job posting even stated if there was need training/certifcates time would be given time to do so). While I filled out the application this same staff member in blue shirt/tan pants reached over and took my resume(has all relevant info regarding assistant director postion) off the table and walked back behind the room w/glass viewing office. This application required I fill out not only my experience but personal identification for a background check and signature. When done the woman in a uniform who sat in the chair to the side of the room and another who sat behind the desk in a white shirt. Neither of these women introduced themselves or their position. The woman in uniform while looking at the clip board mispronounced my name I corrected, she asked "so tell us about yourself" after about 30sec she interrupted and asked if I had done any childcare in Texas, no I just moved here. Her response was "oh well in Texas we do things differently do you know anything about director certificate" , no as that would be a Directors, "well we require assistant directors to have one too, thank that will be all". Neither of them looked at me and I thanked them and left. Professionalism requires professionalism. If this is the owner/director approach to the hiring process then I understand the reviews from parents. They did not return my resume or the app with all my identification. I want to know how this company disposed of my sensitive information if they have no intention of hiring me? Was I interviewed by a teacher and cook? Is this how the owner has trained employees to conduct interviews for management positions? If so, this explains such a high turn over. My both kids go to this school for last 1 year. New Director is really making good changes since she joined 2 months back. We have been to other centers in this area so we can tell the difference. Every morning they welcome you with a big smile. Their teachers are very nice and always helpful. Last Director was let go i believe as she was horrible at her job. But now the entire staff is really doing great work at what they do. Look at the picture of their newly renovated front lobby with kid's library and parents seating area. I have been bringing my daughter 3-4 times a week for about 6 months now. The staff is very nice. Tjey greet the parents and the kids as soon as we come in the building. The place has been improving alot with the new director and assistant director. The place is clean and smells good everytime i walk in. My daughter loves going there. My child is MUCH happier here & learning more here at the children spot. She does hands on activities, tracing & projects (besides coloring all day long as she seemingly did in the other school). She's in love with her teacher "Ms. Missy" and all the staff. I also love the various discounts they offer for military and educators. I highly recommend this place for any parent due to our amazing experience.

I stand by my comment that you should be ashamed, not for posting the review, but for name dropping employees AND calling them racist. You do not know these people. It is one thing to leave a bad review since you obviously had a bad experience, but name dropping and calling people racist is a totally different scenario. Your review will follow these employees should they seek other opportunities. And for the record, my granddaughter is not 100% white and we have had zero problems. Just thought I'd throw that out there before you make assumptions as to the race of my granddaughter. I would like to address the previous review given by Sue M. Sue M's review infuriates me for several reasons. My granddaughter attends this daycare and we have had zero problems. It is diverse and the staff are amazing. If I were Emma or any one else you name dropped, I would personally file a law suit against you for defamation of character. Your child attended this facility for all of two months. You do not know them. At all. You should be ashamed. It is my understanding the management has access to the audio recordings for the classrooms. Have you asked them to review the footage? Have you even considered the possibility that your child is not being truthful? In this review you definitely sound like the "my child can do no wrong" parent. So If they can not even find my child's records or application in the system, how can we rely on them to really care for our children for 8 hours a day?? I worked with Hannah about 2 months prior to starting my child at this daycare and provided her application form, payment details and my child's vaccination records, but she forgot to run the application as well as she forgot to put my child on waiting list. When I called a week prior before starting my child, Jennifer (the director) answered the call and she was not able to find my child's application. Since Hannah was not available, she had me waiting until Hannah comes in. Hannah returned my call and told me that she forgot to run the application and put my child on waiting list so now I have to wait for another two months before my child can start daycare there. With all of that she was not even apologetic and the director did not even have courtsey to call me back or apologize. I was so much relying on them and now I have to look for other daycares who can take my child in just one week. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

We just left the school the spring of 2025 and it was bittersweet. We attended this school and had…read moreour kids there from 2020-2025. The staff truly became like family and they really did care for the children there. I saw how they strived to value, respect, and teach each child there. They consistently went above and beyond to encourage learning and to keep everyone safe. Communication was consistent and good, and we appreciated all the programs that were offered here. It has been a challenge to find a new school in our new town that comes close to the wonderful environment that we left behind!
