The car was still nice so as an Uber it was a good ride, but at 3 times the price. But for a professional car service it was a quite a drop from what it used to be. Time to find a replacement.

Driver Sodo arrived on site 30 minutes early (no charge) to ensure we would leave in time. He helped me set up and briefed me on the features. The AppleTV and Internet access were fun, as we streamed YourTube the whole trip and shared photos from our iPhone. TVs on both ends of the van so you could see not matter which way you faced. We arrived on time to the event and had a great ride. We had some problems with the technology, including loss of audio and stuttering on the way back, but rather than stop to get it fixed we decided to talk instead. The tech works well but can have issues. If the tech matters, have a plan for support if it fails. I'm sure we could have had if fixed if we asked but we didn't bother.

"Michael' pulled our file and confirmed our address and cellphone number and confirmed that their driver would pick us at 6:45 am on the agreed date for a 9:00 am flight. At exactly 6:45 am on flight day I received a phone call from the driver, asking whether 21st street was our cross street because he couldn't find our address. I asked him where he was, because there is no 21st street here (oof anywhere in Marin as far as I know}. He replied that he was in Oakland, not in Marin County. I then had to get all of our things into our car and head to SFO in rush hour traffic and fog. Fortunately we made the flight, barely. En route I called "Michael" and told him what had happened. He was unapologetic, saying that he hadn't been told by the driver and that the driver must have been confused or been given the wrong address. When I told him to cancel our return pickup since we obviously had our own car at SFO, he just mumbled "yes, I guess I should cancel." In the past both Pacific's dispatchers and its drivers seems to be Russian, but spoke perfect English, and were excellent in all respects. Neither Michael nor the driver this time were either Russian or remotely alert. I don't know if the company has changed hands, but it certainly has changed its performance. Never again.
