My 14 crv had the all to common vtc actuator startup rattle. Luu's Honda repairs was highly recommended to me at another shop who didn't have experience with the problem. I have been using Luu for years for all of my Japanese cars (Hondas and Subarus) and he has NEVER let me down. His work is EXTREMELY thorough and he has even worked around modifications (as major as an aftermarket supercharger) I've made to my cars to perform service. Upon entering his small waiting area, you will be greeted by a wall of cards and letters thanking Luu for his amazing work and honesty. I have never presented him with a problem that he couldn't solve and he has always been very helpful in suggesting solutions that would be the most cost effective for the customer (rebuilding a worn CV joint instead of a full replacement). His rates have ALWAYS been world better than what I was quoted at nearby dealers and going to him gives me the added benefit of giving my money to a hardworking small business owner and great individual. We've been using Luu for years and didn't realize how poor the service is now. We went to drop off an old Honda and trusted that he would have the main issues fixed but instead it was a complete waste of time since now we have to bring the car back because the issue is still there. Luu spends more time arguing and defending that he checked everything then to say he'll look into it further when he has time. Once you've paid him hundreds of dollars he is most kind and happy person. But if you address any issues after he gets an attitude and becomes rude. I would NOT suggest using him or his shop in the near future especially if your looking for good customer service and reliability. read more

Luu is an awesome guy. I just moved here from Florida and heard some clicking noise when turning either direction from my Honda Odyssey. I called him and he told me exactly what was wrong and how much it would cost. I did some of my own researching and got the same answer on the Internet. I'm stating this because he gave an honest answer without trying to tack on other little bits of "fixing" that needed to be done. The service used to be good years ago. Ever since this man hired (John), the customer service has gone downhill. Today, I had to bring my car that I JUST HAD FIXED 5 months ago. They charged me almost $800 for a brake job! Today, I took my car elsewhere to be looked at because the day before, my vehicle started dripping fluid and I almost lost my brakes. The other party told me to go back and get the problem resolved. He told me, basically, they did a half-a@! job. These people had the AUDACITY to tell me that I was wrong. Meanwhile, I decided to let the other shop repair what shouldn't have happened in the first place! I have limited income and other bills as it is. This is the LAST THING I needed! When I got upset, they told me to "calm down". They will NEVER get my business again! This is what I get for being a loyal customer! Beware, you ladies who know little to nothing (like me) about cars. This new "mechanic" and his boss are predatory! Stay away. read more
