I'M REALLY UNHAPPY WITH THE " DEEP CLEANING". My apartment is tidy with minimal decor. I just needed a deep clean I didn't have time for and had important guests coming. I paid $250 for a "deep cleaning", that was AFTER the $100 off. I was promised a $350 cleaning for a small 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. Fernando and I went over a list of things to do at the consultation. We were in an understanding and agreement. I was confident, happy. Now I'm very upset..... $350 clean... That's 2 months of student loans. Plane fare to Seattle, 2 new pairs of shoes ( or one amazing pair), 3 weeks of groceries, dinner at French Laundry, weekend in Carmel, a frickin' car payment!!! I made the mistake of leaving a check and they took it and ran. I came home and had to clean for over 2.5 hours ( which I really, really didn't have to do) $350 AND THEY DONT CHANGE SHEETS OR PUT OUT TOWELS?? The cat litter box was not cleaned, they LEFT THE STOVE ON, and WINDOWS LEFT OPEN WHILE RAINING, garbage cans not taken out, fridge not clean, under furniture not clean, chemicals left on surfaces ( which got in my hair during shower) The list goes on, and so does the story. For the sake or brevity I'll say that Fernando promised things and didn't deliver- at all. He made EXCUSES for a poor job "my employees try to trick me and not do things behind my back". That's just poor supervision and making me pay *literally* for his mistake. Own up to it like you said, you messed up so give me my money back! For *&#$ sake, be a professional man. I've tried over the past month to remedy the situation. He said "in this economic climate...can't afford a 1/2 refund...will give 50% off next cleaning". You expect me to trust you with my house and money again? It is a joy to come home from work on the days when Fernando and his team have cleaned. I know as soon as I open the door that they have expertly swept away all of the week's dirt and grime that inevitably comes with living with roommates, a dog, and traipsing around SF. I'm really disappointed to have to write this review, but it needs to be said. I saw all of the great reviews and was super excited at the prospect of a deep cleaning for my rental house by this company. Fernando came over the same day I contacted him (Wednesday) and said he would have an estimate to me on Saturday. We had discussed that he would come to my house while me and my children were traveling because of the fumes from bleaching and other cleaning materials. Fine by me! Saturday came and went, I texted him on Sunday night to see if I missed it. He got back to me on Monday morning saying he hurt his shoulder and can't do anything for 4 weeks, but will have the proposal to me that day (Monday). Later Monday afternoon I texted him again to be sure we were still on for while I was out of town assuming that his employees would still be able to clean for me as planned. Nope...he apologized for the inconvenience and then said he would have the proposal to me by Wednesday. I guess nothing gets done unless he is involved. It's difficult as a *prospective* new client to trust that the work he is going to do is as good as he says it is if he cannot even follow through with a simple proposal. I understand extenuating circumstances with his injury, but something's just not right here. I'm thinking I might need to take my business elsewhere unless something changes... read more

Fernando and his team knows exactly what they are doing. This is exactly whom you want for your house/apt if you need to transform a space from a neglected, dirty, dust-bowl into something that shines and you can be happy to come home to. We were moving into a new apartment, and lets just say the previous roommates didn't leave the place in the best shape. Tons of dirt and grime from years of neglect, and I don't believe a cleaning service had been in the place EVER. Fernando came to the rescue. We did his deep clean, and we got pretty much as many things out of the house as possible. Fernando's team was able to work through the mess of all four rooms in just one day; we were just amazed when we came home. A new place that we could call home, without the mess, without the dust, and there was a shine to the bathroom that I didn't think was possible. Fernando was also extremely flexible working around the stuff we already had in the house, and his estimate about the amount of time it would take (10hrs!) was spot on. I have pretty bad dust a mold allergies, and have been breathing easy since Lustran come to the house. He even kindly offered to return, free of charge, to finish a spot in the bathroom that didn't meet his standard. I plan on taking him up on that, and we'll be using Lustran in the future for all of our cleanings. His prices are high, but you generally get what you pay for, and Fernando's team is no exception. Unreal. Recently, I moved into a new apartment and although very spacious and quaint, it was an absolute disaster. The fridge and oven were unbearable to look at, the microwave wreaked, dishes were piled to the ceiling, the bathrooms were gross - you get the point. Fernando and his team worked on my apartment for 9 hours. I came home to sparkling hardwood floors, vacuumed carpets, clean white walls, no dust, a functional and clean oven, immaculate bathrooms, a like-new microwave, and no dishes. Fernando is... incredible... Take everything you think you know about conventional cleaners and throw them out the window because Fernando will change your perspective forever! Gone are the days I come home after paying for cleaning to sloppy jobs, misplaced objects, and tasks that I've asked for left undone. With Fernando, I've only ever came home in awe. Every time he visits I am reminded of why I can never use any other cleaner ever again. He takes pride in his work and delivers perfection where others would cut corners, thinking that you may not notice. To him, as long as he sees something that needs cleaning, regardless of whether it will be easily noticed, he will clean it. Here is one example: We cook a few times a week, and the ceiling near our stovetop apparently accumulates oil stains over time. I never even noticed because the color of the stain is similar to our paint. One day I come home mid-clean and find Fernando wiping it down, and that's the first time I even noticed it after he showed me what he was doing! To this day I am sure there are so many things Fernando cleans around our house that we may not notice every time, but is keeping our home in pristine condition. Our old cleaners (all of them) often used to misplace items after removing them for cleaning. Fernando always puts things back just the way they were, and also takes time to tidy up other areas that look messy without misplacing anything. His work is just, shall we say, perfect! And you know, there are always things around the house you want done or something done a specific way. Fernando will never forget. Ask and you shall receive. With my old cleaners, I used to have to call and complain about them forgetting to clean something I specifically asked for. It seems that they often have a "formula" for cleaning your homes that makes it easy for them to forget when you want something done that's not routine. This will never happen with Fernando! All you have to do is ask, and he will deliver. I can go on and on about why Fernando is and will forever be my favorite cleaner that I seriously wish will never retire! I truly wish that everyone in the service industry would be as much of a perfectionist and have as much passion for their work as Fernando. Lustran is run by a complete professional. Not only is he always on time and communicative, he is truly passionate about his work. I've never done a consultation with a cleaning service before and wondered what it would be like. I now realize that he does the consultation because he is mapping out an incredibly detailed and efficient cleaning job. A true perfectionist. As he walked me through my home, he showed me many details I would have otherwise missed. He pulled out appliances and knobs and lighting fixtures to show me the buildup left behind by previous tenants. After he and his team cleaned, the air was noticeably better to breathe inside thanks to all the dirt and dust that had been taken away. Also, it was brighter as if I had gotten fresh paint on my walls thanks to his attention to the lighting and floors. I cannot say enough good things about the owner of Lustran, Fernando. If I may add one more thing, he is an animal lover and dog owner himself. He used products on the floors that would be friendly to my dog because my dog spends his time much closer to the ground than me, which is something that I hadn't even really thought about before. Fernando and company did an amazing job! After they finished up, my kitchen walls and ceiling - yellowed from years of cooking smoke - gleamed white as the floors. And they focused on all of the small things too - every nook and cranny and appliance was left spotless, including all of the dishes, bottles, and spice jars in my built-in. It felt like an entirely different room. It was so great coming home and seeing the incredible change and how much more appealing a room it was just to be in. And they also did as fantastic a job in my bathroom. The pricing was fair given that Fernando plus his team of two worked nearly 9 hours and left me with two immaculate rooms that had once looked like disaster areas. I am pleased to write a review of the services provided by Lustran. In the past few months I have tried four different San Francisco cleaners who shall remain nameless. I found myself in need of cleaning services after starting a business with my husband, still working full time and traveling often, leaving no time to clean my home as I would like. I became increasingly frustrated time and time again paying $600-700 dollars for what is supposed to be a "deep cleaning" resulting in little more than a deep dusting. I consider myself a detailed individual and would never ask anyone to do anymore than I would do myself. I gave each company a list of specific items I wanted covered and reviewed these items with them during a consultation prior to the scheduled cleaning. Each time I was disappointed and frankly pissed that these companies had the audacity to charge such an amount for such poor performance. With that as my preface, let me begin with Fernando. Upon meeting him at the consultation, he admitted to me that he did not review my list as he was sure that he would cover these items as a part of his usual service. My skepticism rose with concern. He and his team, let me rephrase that; he and his army of cleaners arrived right on time as scheduled. They are the Seal Team 6 of cleaning! They not only covered the items on my list but left me impressed. Here are some specifics: -there were no streaks in my wall sized mirrors from end to end (I have 25' ceilings) -the hardwood floors were polished with a shine I had not seen in a while; I was able to walk with white socks again! -maple kitchen cabinets were cleaned and treated with polish which left them looking like new -his team consisted of all females who moved all furniture to clean under, behind and on top of everything; (many of the previous cleaners would not clean anything above 8' high, as well as having cleaning teams with men who would not even move the bar in the kitchen or the ottoman in the living room) -hanging wine bottles, vases and pictures were wiped down dust free and left sparkling -of note all surfaces were treated with appropriate and the best cleaning solution such as stainless steel, glass, hardwood, electronics, tile, marble, cooktop, etc. I definitely noticed this as everything simply sparkled -after emptying the rubbish, the inside and outside of the rubbish cans were properly cleaned -small detailed things like light fixtures, lamps, chandeliers, ceiling fans, even gym equipment were all cleaned and left shiny I could go on and on, but let me suffice it to say that Fernando and the Lustran team are well worth every penny spent and they will be my first choice for all my cleaning services for my home, business and special events. My home felt light and airy, fresh and smelled like finally a breath of fresh air that I wanted. What would have taken me a several days of my valuable time to do myself. We had some lath and plaster demolition in our home and were eating and feeling grit even though we had tried mightily to clean it up. Fernando and his crew came in and returned our house to a gleaming haven. They had the right skills and equipment to take us back to de-gritted and even better-than-before. Fernando and his team JUST left my house about 15 minutes ago and I couldn't wait to write a review about them. That's how good they are. Fernando has amazing customer service skills, has a great team, and is really helpful with explaining and being thorough about everything. He treated the cleaning as if it was an art piece, and we were amazed by everything they did. Aside from the obvious cleaning, they do a lot of small touches that complete his masterpiece, like the rose shaped TP (seriously pretty awesome), pillow/throw arrangements, and making the beds. My wife and I are also into natural, chemical free products and he even went above and beyond to buy the products himself and use them for us. I can't say enough about how great Lustran was yesterday for our deep cleaning! We just bought a new condo in the city and wanted everything to be cleaned thoroughly before we moved in. Initially I thought the flat was fairly clean, but upon Fernando's meticulous inspection, it was clear that it was anything but clean. Out. Freaking. Standing. I've got a large, open photographic studio with a 20-foot beamed ceiling. A new renter moved in and he immediatly went all iron-lung on me due to a severe allergy to the cat that used to inhabit the space. It was going to be a deal-breaker. Fernando met with me and gave me an estimate for a deep cleaning. The beams are ten feet off the floor, but he said his crew could handle them. He took a look at the kitchen and made a mental check-mark and I told him I was only concerned with dander. He obviously felt his job wasn't done unless the place was CLEAN. We missed some scheduling opportunities because they are in high demand, but he brought his crew over (six people? seven?) on a saturday at 8:30, worked through until 4:30 in the afternoon and left the place spotless. Kitchen, bathrooms, offices, loft, storage areas. Floors are waxed and my tenant hasn't so much as sniffled since. (one hint for people in similar circs: I rented an air scrubber with a hepa filter from Action Rentals and ran that for a day as well.) Can't say enough about Fernando and Lustran. Okay I don't even know where to begin with this angel. I live on 3rd Street and have done so for about 13 years. My ceiling fan was COVERED in 4 inches of dust and even though I have a cleaning lady who comes in every other week, some other hard to reach places were dusty too! Fernando came in with his team and after they were finished, my floors, walls, windows looked BRAND NEW. I live in a 16-year old apartment and it looked LIKE NEW. Wooden floors were shiny and oiled, you could tell they had moved EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF FURNITURE. I will be doing this every year - the cost is COMPLETELY worth it. And to boot, I couldn't find the screen for one of my windows. Fernando came IN PERSON to resolve the issue and it turned out it was put on the wrong window (the fire escape window has no screen). I have been there eight years and thought I was doing a half-way decent job of keeping the place clean. I was wrong. In addition to quality work, quality service is a huge factor for me. Lustran's service was top notch. And so was the deep cleaning we hired them for. Fernando is great to work with and his passion for cleaning was obvious during our initial consultation. And he only employs people who share this passion. What was also impressive was we were out of the house all day during the cleaning, and could not return in time before the staff left. Fernando would not accept payment until he was able to conduct a walk through with us even if it was on a different day. About the cleaning: before we left the house our oven was already out of its place (if possible they clean under the oven, refrigerator, and washer/dryer) and one of the staff members was standing on our countertop cleaning on top of our cabinets. When we returned home our floors were polished and the house looked great. They even reorganized our spice cabinet, the shelves in our bathrooms, and the bookshelf. Lustran is amazing! They just completed a deep clean of my apartment, and I have never seen the place look better. The apartment definitely wasn't this clean even before we moved in. Fernando is incredibly nice, responsive and helpful, and his team did an above and beyond job. The deep clean was well worth the money, as a team of four cleaned our one-bedroom loft for nearly nine hours with incredible results to show for their time. Even areas I didn't know were dirty/disorganized or didn't think could be cleaned came out sparkling. It was all the small touches that showed just how thorough Fernando and his team are. For example, they organized the books on our bookshelves and brought them all to the front of the shelf. They also managed to get the caulk around the bathtub (which in areas used to be black) completely white. They even pulled the refrigerator and oven out of their nooks to get all the gunk that builds up underneath and behind those appliances. In speaking with Fernando, you can tell that he cares a lot about what he does and is an admitted perfectionist, which was completely evident in his finished product: our spotless apartment. Plus, as an added bonus, he's got a wonderful personality and is a pleasure to work with. In sum, I would recommend Lustran without a single hesitation or reservation. I had to clean up an apartment for an elderly friend who is returning from a temporary living situation. She is going to have full time help now, so her unit had to be put in tip top shape. As she was not able to properly clean her home for several years, there was a ton of deferred cleaning that had to be done. Fernando and his team were amazing. They moved every piece of furniture, cleaned all the floors, and windows, moved years of collectibles from everywhere, cleaned them and returned them to their proper place. They took down the curtains and washed them and returned them to their proper windows. They cleaned the bathroom and kitchen until the whole apartment spelt fresh for the first time in months. Fernando is use to working with elderly clients who use walkers. He rearranged the furniture as to make better pathways for my friend. I am blown away with the results he was able to achieve. They did all this in less than two days. His fees are more than fair. His team and he worked non stop in order to get the job done in time for my friends return. Lustran, can handle any type of cleaning situation. He uses a steam cleaner to sanitize where necessary. When Fernando told me he had even cleaned crime scenes, I knew I had the right person. If you have a big deep cleaning job this is your man. He and his staff out did themselves. My friend will probably not believe her eyes when she comes through her door. I could gush for hours about Fernando and how he transformed my apartment. I am a busy physician with two cats who hates to clean...there were several years of dust and cat hair and grime accumulated in every nook and cranny of my apartment. Of note, this is no ordinary cleaning. If you are looking for a housekeeper to come in for a couple hours and sweep and mop and clean the bathroom, this isn't it. The cleaning takes all day, and costs more than an average housekeeper, but when they say deep cleaning, they mean DEEP cleaning, kind of like a move-in, move-out cleaning except I'm still living here! From scrubbing grout, to refinishing the floors, to mopping the walls (yes walls!)...I'm gushing again. I circulated the before and after photos to friends and family and they were all blown away, and one wanted to hire Fernando on the spot. We are have a loft with super high ceilings and he got way up ther on the ladder and cleaned surfaces I didn't even expect to be cleaned. Our painted cement floors have never looked so good---he even sealed them. He also moved out the refridgerator to clean under it, and so much more. He brought 3 other people with him and they cleaned all day long, but did not even seem tired when I came back in the evening to check everything over. He also alerted me to a dangerous situation in our office, a large piece of art hanging over the conference table that is not at all stable, and recommended a resurfacing job that would vastly improve the look of the office. read more

Fernando and his team were exceptional! Their attention to detail was impeccable, and included hand-washing and scrubbing the kitchen and bathroom. The team also cleaned up the grout in the bathroom so it looked brand new, and did a wonderful job cleaning the wood surfaces in every room of the unit.
