I read an article on Tulsa People about them so I decided to stop by. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by J.T. (Aka Jetara). She was so welcoming and immediately started sharing all about the business. One of their most popular products is their brow duo, a compact case with brow powder, sculpting creme, and mirror. She found the perfect shade for me and did a demo. The difference was very noticeable! The powder has jojoba oil so it conditions the brows and the creme has castor oil which promotes hair growth. They offer waxing services and have fun events throughout the year. Check their website to see what's coming up: a Galentine's event, a foundation workshop, even a brow brunch! I bought a lip gloss that hydrates and is non-sticky. They also promote local businesses. I bought a great scented candle from Tudda & Toots. The strawberries and cream was my favorite. This is a woman and Black owned business focused on offering clean and vegan products while targeting underserved markets and gaps in representation. LAMIK stands for Love and Makeup in Kindness. Their founder, Kim Roxie, moved from Texas to Tulsa after being accepted into the Build in Tulsa Accelerator program. You can find their products on their website, Ulta.com, JCPenney, and H&M.

I have sensitive skin and always leave with a glow up that stays for days. Best part, my skin doesn't break out at any point afterwards, just stays look hydrated! On top of her such a healing, grounded energy - Rica is constantly working to educate herself and keep on top of innovations in the industry! Plus, after the facial she has an incredible assortment of products she believes in (I trust her clean beauty standards above all!) and you can text her when you have issues at any point and she will weigh in on best steps! Rica has re-set the facial standards bar!

For $70, you get an hour of pure relaxation. It's such a steal! Rica pampers your skin with some of the most luxurious green skincare products on the market. And if there is a product you're wanting to try, ask if that can be incorporated into your facial. I personally love the Maya Chia eye roller. Rica also carries the cosmetic line RMS. It's an organic coconut oil based brand that I am obsessed with. Sure, you could buy it from Sephora (online, the store here in Tulsa doesn't carry it), but here you can test out colors and learn about its benefits. Rica is a gem, and makes your experience so personable. I refuse to go anywhere else when I need some time to pamper my skin.

On my visit I had the pleasure of a short visit with Chef Amanda, also known around these parts as "The Cheese Wench". If you want a cheesy conversation, she's your person! If you need vegan food prepared, catered, etc. this is a spot you should seriously consider. The service was great as well. Everyone there was kind and executed all aspects of the service very well. Each dish was well executed, seasoned and spiced just right, and everything was well balanced and paired nicely with each other. The mushroom preparations were so tasty. Wifey even liked it and she isn't into mushrooms that can't pull a rabbit out of a hat. The vegan cheezes were also a highlight. This is one of a very few places that offer vegan catering options at all and of those limited options, ironically enough, The Meat & Cheese show is one of the best. I highly recommend this spot for any event or meal for which one must provide non-omnivore options.

As to customer service, prior to coming (day or two before) I recieved a text message that my service is set for 2pm and to complete an intake form (which I did). When I arrived I was advised my service wasnt until 245 but everyone else in my group would be at 2. I asked why I recieved a text that my service was at 2 and they said we'll you can enjoy the lounge. I said well I am paying an extra fee to be able to use the lounge so I dont quite know how that is a response. Again I asked why was I sent a message that my service was at 2 when it isn't. They said they didn't know. I asked why I wasn't contacted to let me know I would be 45 minutes after everyone and for me to consider a different service. I was again provided no response and instead they attempted to blame the friend that book all of us (when she in fact was never told I would be delayed). I ended up going in at 2:51 (took a screenshot of my phone showing the time) as my friends were coming out and starting to hang out. They acted as if I was wrong for being a bit annoyed and offered no options or even apologies. Then when we went to check out they added in a 20% gratuity to each or our bills even though we were separate and didn't even tell 3 of the girls in our group that they did so and ended up getting way more of a tip than was reasonable even for exceptional service. The lounge is cute. But with the customer service, lack of communication, and overcharging people on a tip we will definitely not be back. Photo of text telling me my appt is at 2 and screenshot of time when I actually went in.
