I absolutely love Lush and I was excited to visit a massive Lush store inside of Somerset Mall. Prior to this location, I frequented a cramped and tiny location at Partridge. I was surprised to see how massive the store was inside of Somerset. There was tons of room to move around and see everything on the wall. I usually only buy the bath bombs and I was excited to see that they had way more options in comparison to the other store. They have a massive stock of different types of bath bombs. They have employees readily available​ to help you at the front of the store. They all know their bath bombs well too. One employee helped me make a decision based on the types of vibes or scents I liked. Also, I am so excited to share that they had a Penguin one for the Holidays! Some of you may know that I absolutely love penguins​, so this was truly amazing. All of their products are super amazing. They have a website and app so that you can look at ingredients, buy, or add items to a wishlist. They do have a variety of other items like soaps, sprays, bars, face masks, and other shower or facial products. The best part is that they also sample a bath bomb at the front of the store. Usually I review restaurants, but had a pretty good experience at Lush at Somerset. The service was pretty good, as the lady was explaining the variety of products they offer, the most popular ones, and which products are more suited for what purpose. I smelled a lot of different types of soaps, lotions, massage bars, powders. They have a lot of different samples that you can try for free at various sinks. The store was well organized. It was clean. The service was good. The advertisements and marketing were convincing lol. I purchased the massage bar that helps with relaxation and sleep, and will try it out. I know what you're thinking, "is he really about to do a review about soap?" You guessed it, and you were right! About four Christmas's ago someone got me this soap from Lush and it's been smooth sailing since then. Before I got the gift I must've walked by a million times in Somerset Mall but never went inside, but you will know when you're close because the smell is STRONG. Although everything smells very good, I can imagine it being a bit overbearing for the staff that work there since the smells are all so potent but either way onto the soap. I am just going to go out on a limb and say that the "Honey I Washed The Kids" is their best soap. It's apparently one of their best sellers, and it's what I've rebought over the years. It smells like( you guessed it again) honey, which I really do like. In addition I got a body butter scrubee for a friend. The sales associate was probably thinking "yeah, sure a friend". Now their thing is that all their products are handmade, natural, and made for your skin, hair, ect.. but they can get kinda pricey. It mainly depends on what size cut of soap you want and or what size container you decide to buy. But they're tons of different scents to choose from. I had a really weird and confusing experience. I've been to other lushes and had great experiences. I asked to try a sample of a facemask and they told me that since I was buying a different facemask that I couldn't have that sample. I said I wanted my sister to try it and they said she has to come in. they had me really afraid that using their products would be like "eating expired foods" and I could get a rash/ breakout from mixing 2 products within 2 weeks since they expire so quickly. they were pretty intense and if the problem was that I can't have more samples that's fine, but they made it seem like their products were dangerous and they didn't trust me to be responsible with my purchase. before this I thought all their stuff was natural. Went to lush to get a refill on a product I use regularly, the price had gone up quite a bit but it's kinda worth it. One of the employees, he had a lovely name and I hate that I cannot remember it, was so incredibly helpful! He was very nice and made the whole experience as enjoyable as it could be! Their handmade body products are made with natural oils and ingredients to indulge your senses and soothe your skin. It's been about 5 or 6 years since I last made a visit to this particular Lush store, and I've got to say, I am so pleased with my visit yesterday. My job requires me to move often, and usually to places where Lush is not a "thing", so while I was in town, I made sure to stop in. I knew this trip was going to get pricey, so I went online and made a list of my "must buys" before heading to the store. I arrived bright and early, and so I was the only one in the store. All of the ladies working there greeted me upon arrival and were just so wonderful. In between showing me some products I had been interested and answering my many questions about all the new products, they were so professional, and really seemed like they wanted to help me get exactly the experience I was envisioning, letting me try out so many of the products on my arms. I recently visited Lush which I haven't done in years, so I was quite amazed at all the changes within the store. I didn't even realize they had gone through a complete remodel, ditching the all black with subtle pops of color, for wood and tile accents that really brighten up the place. I'm grateful that it's located fairly close to one of the larger department stores so it's easy to find and get to if you don't have a lot of time... or if you just hate malls like myself haha. Walking in reminded me of a small farmers market, but for hair and skin care products! I was greeted with wooden trays and baskets that looked liked a colorful display of fresh fruit and veggies, but turned out to be their bath bomb selection, how cute! Lush is known for their ever so popular bath bombs, but they've expanded their store from bath bombs to beyond offering products like shampoos, conditioners, scrubs, make up, face masks and even fragrances now too. I love how everything sort of, kind of resembles food/sweets like a cool cheese board or even slices of cake! Like there's this cold bar in the middle of the store that straight up looks like a salad bar but for facials! It's so cool the way they have the different bowls with freshly made facials set up for a "take and go" kind of deal. They've always had sinks in store for testing different products, but they've updated and now have these huge farm house style sinks that make you feel like you could perform the most perfect water face splash, just like in the commercials. Walking around the mall, my sister and I walked by Lush. Neither of us had ever been in before so we decided to go see what all the hype was about. We decided to stick with what we know (sort of) - bath bombs. One of the associates, Bre, was kind enough to come over and explain the best sellers, the seasonal ones, everything we needed to know. She even got out a bucket of warm water and demonstrated one for us! I ended up going with the avocado one because well my nose decided it loved the smell, and my sister decided to go with the valentines day limited edition one. We stuck around a little after our purchase just to see what else they had, and Bre was kind enough to give us a sample of some the body cleanser "let the good times roll". They were super busy, with people constantly in and out, but that didn't stop Bre and the rest of her associates from giving us the best customer service. Complaining about having to choose between two Lush stores in easy driving distance is a bit like complaining that my tropical beach is too sunny and warm. I'm what Lush would qualify as a "heavy user". I have a significant stash of bath bombs, lotions, potions and other products, and tend to evangelize the Good Word of Lush to anyone who will listen. The products themselves are pricey, yes - but they also last considerably longer than less potent products, are ethically produced and most importantly, work. I have famously umanageable thick & wavy hair, but thanks to their shampoo Big, I'm quite happy with my hair these days. As for the Lush store itself, it is well stocked and the employees and incredibly well educated on their product. They have a fresh-mask section, and a great selection of gift boxes. The only small criticism I would offer is that the Somerset store is not quite as free with the samples as other stores, but given the quality of their stock and friendliness of their employees, it's easy to overlook. If you choose to go to the Lush store in the nearby Lakeside Macy's, you'll find an equally wonderful staff who are eager to sample out products to customers if you ask. However, since they lack refrigeration at this location, they can't offer fresh masks. Between the two, my wallet can make its regular donation to Lush with ease. read more

So, the first time I ventured into Lush in the Somerset Collection my only intention was to browse. Well, browsing quickly turned into dropping about 60 bucks on their wonderful body products. Priding themselves on using natural ingredients like mint,honey,oats, banana, and more, Lush offers some of the best natural body products for the price. The store is stocked with everything from bar soaps(which they will hand make for you) to shampoos, face scrubs, and body wash and shaving creams. And just as rad as the products at Lush is the awesome staff. They are always friendly, helpful and never pushy. Damn you, Lush. I needed that half of my pay cheque for real food. A first timer could mistake Lush for some kind of elaborate hipster bakery where the food is made to resemble cosmetics. One look at the huge chocolate slabs on a butcher block table and frosted cupcakes piled in a heap could lead you in that direction. Pick up a slab of something wrapped in butcher-style saran wrap, flip it over, and there's a sticker with weight, price per pound, and a description. But I've been going to Lush for years. I know better. Their sneaky supermarket disguise of glorious bath products won't take me by surprise. Certainly most of their products look and smell good enough to eat. Strawberry bliss in the middle of the summer for a gelatin soap is nearly enough to push me over the edge. I've buried my hands in thick foot creams and facial washes with the texture, consistency, and taste of a decadent pudding. Yes, Lush intends you to savour their products with a bit of lipsmacking appreciation too. No one's going to complain much if you do. Really, though, my passion lies in the bath bombs. A bath bomb is carbonate wrapped around bits of petal or herbs, a crackle of aromatherapy oils, and the secret delight of fizz and explosive bubbling away in your bathtub like a cauldron. The surest way to relax and come out soft is a bomb. My favourite is the cherry blossom, orange a close second. Forget therapy or a massage, throw one of these into a soaker tub and declare yourself victor over the miseries of the world. Better still, you can buy things in chosen weights. Half this here, a bit of that there, daubs and drips. It's easy to become overwhelmed and your debit card suddenly registering $0.05 left in your account, but hey, all's fair in beauty and war! Came here Saturday to buy a birthday gift for a girlfriend and it was Love at first Lush! I was on my way to a birthday dinner and needed to pick something up quick. I'd been wanting to check this place out for a while so I seized the opportunity. The store is small and a little overwhelming when you first walk in, but there's no denying that the smell is amazing. I must have looked lost, because one of the salespeople swooped in and promptly rescued me, directing me to a wall of pre-wrapped gift sets. These little brightly colored bundles of joy are a God send if you need to pick something up on the way to a party. They look impressive and not half a$$ at all. Nobody will know that you procrastinated (again). They are also reasonably priced and there is a nice range to choose from. I ended up going with a bath gift set that contained a bath bomb, a bubble bar, and a softening bath bar. Even through the wrapping, I could smell that there was something special inside. In addition to the pleasant shopping experience, I love that all of the products are natural and hand made. I wish I'd had more time to browse and sniff. I honestly don't know what I could write about LUSH that hasn't already been said. They have all natural, chemical-free and environmentally friendly products. Most would think that this would make their products ineffective, but you don't need all of the chemicals in order for them to do their job. I discovered Lush while in Las Vegas, and since there isn't a location where I live I wanted to visit this location while in town visiting family. Lush is a bit pricey, there's no doubt. You pay for the benefit of all natural and mostly vegan products. Their products really do what they say they do, and I feel confident that even though I'm spending a lot of money that I am getting what I pay for. Definitely try out their bath bombs and bubble bars. You can get more than one bath out of some of them by breaking them in half or taking them out of the water before they completely dissolve. Your skin will be so soft and fragrant after a long bath when using them. They also have some very cute pre-wrapped gifts that made for great Mother's day gifts. This location didn't hover over me while I shopped like the Las Vegas location but were still friendly and available when I had questions. The things that make me a loyal customer include making a good product, friendly service from the staff, and free goodies. Lush does this in spades and this is why I love them. I originally wandered in because my boyfriend told me he loved taking baths and so I stopped in for some bath bombs. Overall, I'm impressed with LUSH's variety of homemade cosmetics. My favorites have to be the jasmine scented shampoo bar (you have to try it once, there's nothing quite like it. it's literally a bar of soap you rub on your head a few times to form a familiar soapy froth.) My other favorite is the sea salt scrub. My skin radiates after using it. Still hesitant? If you're new to LUSH, take your time and try out one of their bath bombs. Some roses are red Violets aren't blue I'm addicted to Lush, you aught to be too. What's not to love about a place that sells good Karma (literally... Karma soap, karma bubble bar, karma perfume, etc... although to be a "karma karma karma chameleon" fan you most certainly have to enjoy the heady patchouli (and I DO! I now pronounce the "Lushy and her favorite Lush scent")) Other than Karma I am a consummate devotee of the Jasmin Henna frizz ease for helping tame my thirsty mane and rendering a more luxurious tresses. If you dye your hair this product is a colour stripper. I freely confess I do not use their soaps. They smell great and when I give them as gifts people like them. Their henna is actually pretty good. Salt scrubs are all very good. Celestial face cream is heavenly (pun intended). Only mask my uber sensitive face likes is Catastrophe (not sure what that says about me). Not a fan of the make-up at all as I find it stays sticky. Bath bombs and bubble bars are the items I burn through most though. I use half a Karma or Amandopondo, etc in a bath (coz im worth it!). I come out happier, kinder to humanity, and in winter less reptilian. Let's be very clear about one thing here. Despite my love of the girlier scented products the products are NOT only for women. I'm not only talking the guys product line here. Foot scrub, many of the bath bombs, some of the soaps all completely unisex (chocolate scented bath stuff guys... hint... romantic bath for 2... she can't resist chocolate!! (if she can, how about cinnamon? Spicy!) Afterwards heat things up with a massage bar like Bewitched. ;-)) read more

Dear Yelpers, Thanks to your glowing reviews of Lush my wallet is $50 lighter. I entered intending to buy some bath bombs. I left with lotion, body scrub, a face mask and 5 1/2 bath bombs. I got hooked up with free samples (hence the 1/2 a bath bomb) and got to deal with really nice, cool, not super pushy staff. The only thing I can think of that could make the experience a wee bit better is labeling the bath bombs when they put it in the bag. That way I know which ones are my favorites. I don't ever seem to get enough time to be so relaxed. My idea of comfortable laziness is a Sunday, a hangover and a best friend or two dipping in and out of sleep while watching some sports on tv that we don't care too much about. Lush offers a happy pill called gleemonex. They do not carry stummies. I'm too big for my bathtub. Its uncomfortable on my head. I always feel like I need a shower after a bath.
