    Came in yesterday to grab some of their Halloween goodies because I received a notification about a "Halloween treat" with purchase from the lush app. Unfortunately, lush hq did not communicate with their store staff about this and the sales associate had no idea what I was talking about. I showed them the screenshot and the manager came over to verify that this was not communicated to them. However, she went above and beyond and offered me the free gift anyway, and even threw in an extra bath bomb for the trouble. I really appreciated that she and her staff went out of their way to accommodate a customer and to apologize for the inconvenience of miscommunication. This is a small location compared to the valley fair store, but they are well stocked (they still have the Barbie collection!) and have super friendly associates, so it's worth the drive to shop in store! Support brick and mortal retail :)

    After reading about the Lush Sleepy lotion in Mental Floss and its effect to cure insomnia, I called the Stanford store and reserved a tub. It's already sold out online so I'm happy to get one of the last few in store. I'm also really liking the lavender and almond mix of scents. The staff there gave me a generous sample of Dream cream while I was there. I like the store's location as it's close to the parking lot on Quarry Road and you don't have to wander too far into the mall.

    Love everything in here, Lush is really luscious, you will end up smelling so so good! I like that the people working there are not on top of you constantly asking if you need something. They let you play and touch and have fun. However, if you have questions, they are very acknowledgeable of what they have in store and you will be helped. Watch out in there, you will want to eat their products, they smell and look so good!

We've owned our Van Cleef earrings for a little over two years. Beautiful pieces, but recently the backs began to loosen--enough that the main earring slipped off three separate times. Clearly not safe to continue wearing. When I reached out to VCA customer support, the guidance was simple: bring the earrings into a boutique for a repair assessment. Not once did they mention the need to purchase replacement backs or any additional charges. At the Palo Alto VCA inside Neiman Marcus, the experience took a sharp turn. The sales associate, Lauren, didn't take a moment to understand the situation or even examine the issue with any sense of care. She abruptly disappeared to the back, returned with a pair of new earring backs, and stated matter-of-factly that they were not covered--and that we would have to pay $230 for these tiny components. For context: we own Cartier, Shane Co., and other fine jewelry. We have never been placed in this kind of predicament over such a basic functional element. In every other maison we've interacted with, safety-related hardware is treated as part of long-term client care. Hearing "that's not covered" delivered without empathy or explanation felt dismissive and entirely out of step with the brand VCA claims to be. $230 for earring backs--paired with service that felt more transactional than thoughtful--left us genuinely disappointed. Luxury is supposed to reassure, not frustrate. This experience didn't reflect the spirit or standard that made us choose Van Cleef in the first place.

I spoke with five different surgeons in the Bay Area and she really stood out for her professionalism. More so than any other surgeon, my consult with her felt like a medical appointment as opposed to a sales pitch. She went into my medical history and went to great lengths to understand the results I wanted to achieve, especially as a smaller person trying not to go too big. She was honest, patient, and highly informed and willing to go into great detail about the procedure, which I really appreciated. Jolie (the practice manager) was also fantastic for laying out all of the details of the surgery and making sure it went smoothly. I trusted her enough to try a new implant (Motiva) that she hadn't worked with previously and do not regret my decision at all. The surgery itself went very smoothly and I had a surprisingly quick recovery (2 days of bedrest for 215-230cc implants under the muscle). Dr. Weintraub and Jolie were very responsive with the questions I had about aftercare. Three months post-surgery, I'm incredibly happy with the results and keep getting great feedback about how natural they look and feel! 10/10 would recommend this practice and working with Dr. Weintraub especially. Note: A lot of plastic surgeons will go to great lengths to market themselves, taking out advertisements and promoting their business so it's at the top of search results. I heard about Dr. Weintraub from a friend-of-a-friend and was way more impressed with her than all of the top-billed surgeons I consulted with. She doesn't advertise as much, but honestly she doesn't need to.

The first store I went to was in El Segundo and Larchmont and found that there was a location in Danville but had never paid a visit as shopping online has become the norm for me. But as I was in the area, I wanted to check things out in person, which I had forgotten how much fun the shopping experience can be. Typically I shop alone, I don't ask for help and sometimes people don't come up to me to ask me if I am in need of assistance. I was approached here, but had no questions at the moment. I browsed around on my own until I did and I thought the staff was somewhat knowledgable and super nice. I was in the store for a while and got to test a couple products out. Ended up buying a product from RMS which I thought would be a good product to try out. I was offered samples after I had purchased this item. I remember there was another lady in the the store who I think had just walked in for samples. I kind of wish I had thought of that... they did have SkinCeuticals' new product out and I had completely forgotten about it. Would have been nice if I received a sample of that or of another brand's product I did not already have at home to try. You can learn a lot just by walking into a store vs. shopping online. I never really have had a terrible experience at any of the Bluemercury locations which is nice to say. Not every beauty retailer also carries some of the brands that they have which makes them a competitor / go-to site or store I always keep in mind for myself when its time to restock on certain products or try new ones out!

I have spent thousands of dollars in there and there was more than one sales person. They always have a disjointed too cloying approach or they get distracted by someone demanding and rude. Never again I walked out and am done with blue mercury all stores. It's trash treatment and I can find better at any number of places in Palo Alto or online.
