I have been a loyal client of Palo Alto Laser & Skin Care since 2024, spending thousands of dollars at this clinic, but their customer service and billing integrity have completely collapsed. About 24 hours before an appointment that was scheduled over six months ago, I received a call demanding a $150 cancellation fee for an appointment that had understandably slipped my mind. When I pointed out that I never received any confirmation or reminder communications, the receptionist, Melissa, admitted that my text opt-out was the direct reason I hadn't been notified. This clinic intentionally bundles essential administrative appointment confirmations into the same automated system as promotional pushes and product spam. When a client protects their phone from marketing spam by opting out, the business completely drops the ball on basic client notification--and then attempts to monetize their own administrative failure by hitting you with a surprise fee the day before. Rather than taking accountability for a broken communication pipeline, Melissa actively chose to argue with me on the phone, debate marketing frequencies, and mischaracterize my words. It is unconscionable to treat high-value, multi-year clients like pockets to be picked. I have officially terminated my relationship with Palo Alto Laser and Skin Care. Any unauthorized charges attempted by this office will be immediately disputed and charged back. Save yourself the headache and take your business to a clinic that respects its clients.
