Reason: on my exit after paying all my purchases, I showed my receipt and shopping bag to the security guard. Without providing any reason, he asked me to open my personal hand bag for him to search. I found that was discriminative as he didn't search other customers who exited previously. And, other security guard who also check customers receipt didn't search any customers personal bag. I felt insulted, humiliated and angry. Please don't shop there if you don't want to get insulted and humiliated.

The staff here can never seem to answer my questions and when I've visited, they were always just chatting with each other fairly loudly or on their phones. I get that it's a casual place though so I don't really care too much. I guess I rather that than have them following me around trying to sell things. I also picked up some padding to stick in the bottom of my laptop to prevent overheating. I found some useful large S hooks that can fit my balcony railings and dividers to hang more plants. They have kitchen tools, bathroom gadgets, storage, pots, hangers, beauty tools, you name it, they have it. Always worthwhile to check out when you're at PMall. Note, I'm not sure if it's due to the fire, but the escalators at Pmall are not functioning, so you have to use the service elevators the past weekend to go up and down the mall.

They also have some non-beauty related products like plushies. Some of these looked like they were Disney Japan exclusives. I also saw an interesting posture helping plushies from Liveheart. When you're sitting at a desk, the plushie sits on your lap and prevents you from hunching over close to your screen. They even have structured arms that you can put your arms on top to prevent them from dangling. These were also Disney with Lotso and Baymax options! If you're a K-Pop fan, they carried BT21 care products like under-eye masks and lip balms. I also saw a lot of hair dyes that featured artists like Blackpink.

When I called to do so, they confirmed an appointment time that I never requested, which was odd because I would never have scheduled at that time. I rescheduled and called two weeks in advance to confirm my appointment. They confirmed it, but when I arrived, I was told that my appointment was actually the day before. When I asked for clarification, they questioned who had confirmed it, even though they do not send email confirmations. Overall, the scheduling and communication are extremely disorganized. I know I had seen an Asian health and beauty store at First Markham place. Apparently Beauty Garden has been open at this location for 5 months. They also have another location at Pacific Mall. The store employee was very helpful in directing me to the eyeliner section, and was patient at explaining the difference between various brands of similar looking liquid eyeliner. I was able to find my product of choice which retails there for $20 (tax included). Expensive, I know, but worth it considering I use it everyday and it is one of the few eyeliners that applies smoothly but resists smudging despite my oily skin and wears all day. Beauty Garden sells a variety of products including false eyelashes, various eyebrow cosmetics, hair care and colouring products, feminine hygiene products, as well as Asian brands of incontinence products. The majority of their products are imported from Korea and Japan, including popular facial sheet masks and skin care masks. They currently have a special on those masks: 5 boxes for $100. Beauty Garden has a fairly limited selection. I have seen some similar stores at Pacific Mall that have more variety and that carry more premium products. As for me, I was just happy to find my eyeliner at First Markham Place to save me a trip to Pacific Mall where finding parking is often a much bigger hassle.
