My partner and I are taking a road trip, so of course, my goal is to visit every Lush shop along the way. Today we visited Lush in Indianapolis at the Fashion Mall at Keystone, located at 8702 Keystone Crossing Blvd. It's the only Lush in the state of Indiana! When we entered, it was pretty busy for a Wednesday afternoon. A couple team members greeted us but everyone was helping someone. The store was spacious and well-stocked. The layout was interesting with the till in the middle of the shop. It had more Lush Community offerings than my local shop, including the candles! I picked up an intergalactic candle which I'm really excited about. I'm really glad we stopped in and I'm pleased to see this location does so well. read more

I was able to host my daughter's 9th birthday here today and when I say if I could leave 10 stars I would. Absolutely amazing staff! The store manager is an angel. This was the best party ever. it's a [ TWO star emojis] star rating and i'll explain why below. to begin with: [ FIVE star emojis] stars: the people in the store are so nice and generous and so lovely to be around. do note - the store does assault the senses with the intense fragrances from all directions. a LOT of sensory overload if that's an issue for you. -1 [ star emoji] : it is in the mall. the mall is objectively the worst place to be, ever. -2 [ star emojis] : okay this isn't technically THIS store's fault, but with the recent (2024) website update, it has become absolutely unuseable. each new search yields the wrong results. clicking one tab brings up not all, or the wrong, products. each reload is a fresh layer of hell - it always loses your place (mobile at least) and you have to continually scroll and hope it doesn't refresh. who aligns the individual thumbnails purposefully off-center?? this impressively crappy website is so bad that i can't order online. the app too, is a steaming pile of crap as well. there's screenshots below the site is so bad that i have to visit the store - which is a bit of a drive and as mentioned above, in the mall. i hope to god that this website designer volunteered for this job, or it was a dream job gifted as a thanks for donating 2 kidneys to Lush staff members, because no person -- let alone national company -- should have paid any amount of pennies for this product. total: TWO [star emojis] sleepy smells good tho. read more

At the beginning of quarantine, I decided to do some massive ordering of household and beauty products that don't use plastic and try it all out. I figured quarantine the perfect time to mess around with how I look and smell and do some experimenting. One product that really impressed me and left me wanting to explore the options further was bar/solid shampoo and conditioner. I kept hearing from others who use shampoo bars that Lush is a great place to get really quality, natural hair care products. I opted to try this location, early on a weekday to avoid crowds, and had a fantastic experience. First, I was really impressed with how they're handling Covid/sanitation concerns. It's a shop full of bath products, soapy bar form, sitting out in the open. So I really appreciated not only the measures they took, but the way they explained their precautions, requests and politely reinforced guidelines. You are asked to wash your hands with your own individual sample of their heavenly soaps, as soon as they allow you in. To smell the products, they ask you to hold it in front of your eyes and the scent does waft down into your mask. I was predominantly after hair care, and a really nice sales person approached me fairly soon after I began looking at shampoo. She was somewhat helpful, certainly very friendly and kind. However, she acted as tho 2 of the products that I purchased be applied to the hair, just as you would a regular conditioner bar. That wasn't the case at all. In fact, the one product is to be smoothed over dry hair. I found videos on the Lush website that are fairly helpful with showing how to use some the different "hair foods" and conditioners. I couldn't help but also pick up some soaps. So many heavenly scents to choose from and my sensitive skin has been really pleased with everything I've bought. At this point, their products sell themselves for me. But this is a great, fairly convenient location. read more

I'd never been to Lush but I wanted to check them out because I'd heard good things. Yes, they are pricey, but sometimes treating yourself to a luxury like Lush is just what you need. They have bath bombs galore. There were a large variety of scents and shapes for the bath bombs (some are even glittery). I did come across something I'd never seen before and had an employee explain it to me: shampoo bars and conditioner bars. They basically look like soap bars but are shampoo or conditioner and you rub it on your hair. I was intrigued and had to try it. It's definitely different but my hair feels super soft. If you love treating yourself to relaxing baths and a spa day is your definition of a good time, Lush is a place to check out. read more

We love the natural products and plastic free packaging that Lush has to offer! If you have never been here, their hair, face and skin products are awesome! They leave your hair and skin clean and soft without stripping natural oils. They also offer natural henna hair dye that gives you vibrant color that is safe on your hair. We were hesitant to come to the mall to be inside such close quarters but were so happy to see that they are not allowing anyone in the store and therefore all products are handled only by employees who take your order then package everything up for you! We miss being able to smell the items and try them out but they were happy to give us a sample or two to try at home in addition to our purchase so we can still have a similar experience. In a world where ingredient lists are a mile long, with hard to pronounce words it's nice to come to a place where everything is Handmade, 100% Vegetarian, No Animal Testing and in Naked Packaging! I've been a Lushie for awhile now so I'm surprised i haven't written a review until now. A lux hobby i admit but self-care is very important and Lush can definitely make that happen. The smells are yummy, the products innovative and fun, and the company pretty good about being green and cruelty free. My to go to scents are the rose jam and karma bubble bars and the twilight, golden wonder, and dragon's egg bath bombs. The charity pot lotions are fantastic for sensitive and very dry skin. If you collect 5 of the black containers and clean them before bringing them back to the store, you'll get a free fresh face mask to try! Feel free to ask for samples and be prepared to fall in love with them. This location is now newly renovated and it seems roomier. Staff have always been helpful and friendly. Lush is always coming out with new and seasonal products so check back often. If you have favourites, it's not unusual for them to be sold out so you can always call ahead so that you don't make a trip out there for nothing or to check if new items are in yet. The website and YouTube videos help describe the products and guide your experience to get the most out of the bombs but most of the fun is the surprise how the bomb unfolds after you drop it in the bath. I love Lush! I know it's pricey, but it really is one of those you-get-what-you-pay-for situations. No animal testing, many vegan products, and no preservatives. They pay their manufacturers a fair wage and recycle their containers. You even get free products when you return certain containers for reuse. Employees here seem to truly love working here and love the products! The smells are strong, lovely, and not overwhelming. They are also natural, so none of that sickly sweet fake peach smell. You can try just about anything. The store can get cramped, but that's a testament to how much people love their stuff. And they've expanded the size of their store. read more

Pandemic edition: I was not paying attention to my Lush stash and was running low (like, can't wait for shipping low) so I decided to swing by to pick up some things. First experience shopping at the mall since 2020 when nuts and I must admit I was not following the guidelines that were taped on the floor...actually didn't notice it until I notice I was getting weird stares at people coming towards me, heh.. sigh. Any way, when I was there (you never know, it might have changed, at this point anything is bound to happen) you could not enter the store. There was a table blocking the entrance and the employees take your order (or go get your online order). It wasn't busy when I got there, just one person in front of me, but with social distancing, they could only take care of one customer at a time. So just keep in mind their might be a little bit of a wait. I do miss going in, smelling and testing products, but as paranoid as I am about COVID19, I did not feel any stress of anxiety with getting my order. The staff wore masks, sanitized after each customer and I did contactless payment...good job Lush! read more

Lush is a a guilty pleasure. It is one of my must stops prior to traveling out so that I can have a "treat yourself/ spa" treatment when I'm on the road. The store itself is on the smaller side; however, this is actually one of the larger ones that I've been too. All of the space is maximized and filled with product. While they do offer skincare and hair care products, I primarily frequent the store for their bath bombs, which can lead to fun conversations with TSA thanks to the ever changing items that the scrutinize. It helps to keep the items/receipt in a bag to help explain what they are are, also, just call them bath-balls, as bombs is a trigger word that can land you in hot water. In terms of prices, you are paying what you get, as well as the easy of convenience. I haven't tried making my own soap since my failed attempt in Chemistry during high school. Also, it easy to build your own gift basket or select a bath bomb as a gift when you are trying to spend under $10 for a holiday gift. One of the newer features that I've noticed recently is that if the register gets backed up they had an associate on the floor with a mobile card reader to ring you up and get you on your way. read more

This place is very unique and hip. It's on point with current beauty trends and has really interesting decor. It's like a more modernized very of a BnB works. I love the hair and face products. Leaves your skin so refreshed and soft and your hair feeling natural and great. My favorite product is definitely the hair paste. It works so well to texturize my curly head of hair and leaves it natural without an oily or frizzy look. I love how simple the ingredients are and that it is actually made by ppl who work there, has a great homemade quality to it that really sets it apart. They are great about offering samples to try out their unique assortment of products. They also have a huge collection of bath bombs. Go here for an experience like no other skin and hair boutique. I really like the new space they moved into a few months back. Lush is known for their customer service, bath bomb demos and sampling of all their skincare products. I don't feel like I'm being hounded by staff when I go in, which is nice. Some of the product or look good enough to eat, but I don't recommend it. I really like their soap station, which gets a lot less attention than the bathbombs. If you want a smaller quantity than what is pre wrapped, the staff members will cut the size down for you --a four oz bar is not only more affordable, but costs less (so you can try out more scents). First off: I'm allll about that hippie, all-natural, no chemicals health and beauty products, so the mission of Lush aligns with my personal beliefs to a tee. The reason for the three stars then? Most of the stuff is way overpriced and most of it you can make at home. Most of the products and ingredients you can find online or in your local grocery store. To me, it's fun making my own products so I know exactly what's going into the stuff I use on my body. I have no issues with the store itself here, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. But holy moley, this place is ALWAYS busy and flooded with people of all ages. Once your sense settle down after getting used to the colors of the bath bombs and the potent smells, it's nearly impossible to smell anything different than the smell that floods the entire store. It's nice that they do free product samples, but for someone that doesn't want to spend $20 on something I might not even like, they really need to consider sample or start packs. I'd love to have a kit that helps me from start to finish and gives me sample-size so I know what I like, what works and what doesn't, etc. Overall, it's the price I can't wrap my mind around when I can make most of the stuff at home and find a recipe online. Though I tend to stick to more locally-sourced goods. I have been using Lush products for quite some time. I originally switched to some of their products because I had a rare and severe form of psoriasis, and nothing I was able to find worked for my skin except their products. Through the last couple years, I have converted to almost exclusively using Lush products. They do use a lot of plastic containers which I am not a fan of, but they will take back any of the black pots for recycling and reusing, so their plastic waste and use is decreased some. So, keep this in mind, and take your pots back! They even have a program that allows you to get a free fresh face mask for every 5 pots you return to their store. Plus, they are creating more and more "naked" (aka package-free) products every year. Their store here in Indianapolis is clean, smells amazing, and the staff are helpful. I find that at times they are almost too helpful (e.g. being right on top of you and asking you multiple times if you need anything). For me, this is moderately irritating, but I am positive other people might find it particularly useful to have someone knowledgeable helping guide them through their purchases. This all being said, I have not tried something from Lush that I did not like, and the wide range of products help you tailor your purchases to your specific needs and desires. On top of that, the products they create are handmade, 100% vegetarian, are not tested on animals, and they do their part to ethically source their ingredients. I loved this Lush location. The staff went above and beyond for my both my sister-in-law and me. They were helpful, attentive, and found the perfect product for each of us. I have insanely dry skin in the winter -- it regularly cracks and bleeds -- and the lotion that was recommended has completely changed my life this winter. With so many Lush stores having sales staff that are pushy, it was nice to find this diamond in the rough of sales staff who still want to make a sale, but want the customer to find something that makes them happy. All Lush locations are small. This one isn't an anomaly. Brace yourself for impact when you walk in because someone will run into you or touch your butt. read more

I also recently bought an exfoliating salt that smells JUST like a margarita -- fun stuff. However, I think the prices are a bit high, the sales people a bit pushy, and this location too small. Longtime Lush lover--starting in London in 1995. The butter bomb is one of my fave all-time bath time products- your skin will feel silkier than you ever dreamt! This store had particularly helpful staff. I got a hand exfoliation and lotion treatment, sampling two lotions- and I was even given some small samples to go when I explained about my various allergies, which I thought was really nice. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Just walking in the smell instantly captures you. I will say if you're sensitive to strong smells, this is not the place for you as everything on display has a scent. As a vegetarian, I love that every product is cruelty free and vegetarian or vegan. I love that I bought a face mask and it has to be refrigerated immediately! Talk about fresh!! The employees are overly friendly! This could potentially be annoying but for my best friend and I, we thoroughly appreciate them trying to make sure that we have a good experience in the store. They have plenty of displays and demos set up and they are more then willing to give you a demonstration and educate you on the product. My friend and I was helped by a girl named Morgan and she was super dope! You could really tell that she knew her info and helped us find face masks that worked for our skin types. I absolutely love lush. I have for a while, but having one near me has been a game changer. Hey are always so welcoming and helpful, full of information. They regularly do demos of products so you can get a good idea of what would work best for you. I love that they fight animal testing too. There are 2 downsides, and they are the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. One, the store is so cramped. If you in on a Saturday, you can hardly move around without bumping into several people. The other downside is towards corporate, it breaks my heart that your amazing products aren't all free of sulfates. I love your shampoo bars, but the ingredient list made me cringe a bit. read more

Lush is SOOOO much fun! It can be crazy busy, but it's also seriously crazy fun! My friend and I popped in on a Saturday and we were given the tour of all their products. I just always think bath bombs, but they actually started as a skin care cosmetics company. They have a ton of awesome skin and hair products as well as lotions. I really want to try a lotion bar since I never get around to making my own. I did get a sample of lemon cuticle cream. It smells so good and I am going to get a tub of it next time as I feel it's really helping my fingers. We also got to take part in a bath bomb demo. I have never seen one in action. It was so cool and so nice and soft. They gave everyone some soap and we washed our hands in the tub. The water was so soft feeling, but didn't at all leave your greasy. My biggest complaint is the layout of this store. I always feel so closed in and it's difficult to navigate their products. I adore Lush products and have used them for years. There's something about the way the products to have been yesterday with nothing but natural and safe ingredients and skin-loving care that makes me happy. I love the body buffers, the soaps, the massage bars, in in-shower moisturizers (Ro's Argan!). The new face stuff (fresh face masks that must be refrigerated, for example) are divine. The hair masks are also a particular favorite of mine. Years and years ago, it was the solid hair shampoo that first got me hooked on Lush products. Indy is lucky to have a store as the products are hard to have shipped in the summer months, and not everything is available online. As far as this store goes, it represents a Lush experience well. The stores are all mainly the same. The only difference, of course, is the staff. Here, I had a great experience with one of the Lushies, and a blech experience with another. The Blech experience was with a girl who was more interested in chatting with her friend than helping me understand the new products. If you're a beauty product lover, you should go and try some things (they will generally make you samples of whatever they can). It's a great line and it's nice that Indy has a store now. read more

I wouldn't consider myself a LUSH regular but I absolutely love some of their products. I have been in the store a few times now, the associates are always welcoming and able to answer all of my questions regarding products. They are great at letting you test some products on your hands to make sure you like the way it feels, your skin isn't irritated by it, etc. Don't let the overwhelming smell deter you from going in; I know, it's intense. BUT their individual products aren't intense. The smell is overwhelming because they are a sustainable company with an awesome mission. Check it out! Many products don't come in packaging, hints the smell. :) The products that come in the black cups are sustainable as well. Collect 5 cups, bring them in and get a free fresh face mask. DEAL! Some of my favorite products: bath oil bar (pro tip: cut them in half or thirds to get extra use, a full one is a lot of oil), bath bombs (I pair this and a bath oil together), mask of magnanimity-self preserving (this is awesome for dry and acne prone skin), tea tree toner (acne and skin balancing), and the shampoo bar (I wasn't a believer until I tried it, I'll never go back!). I am a relative newbie to Lush but I am slowly falling in love! I have stumbled into this location a couple times mostly to check it out since everyone seems to rave about it. First, be prepared for a smell OVERLOAD. It's crazy, I kinda like it but it can be overwhelming at times. This location is often pretty crowded and it is a small place. I think they could definitely use a bigger space here in Indy! Even when it is a bit busy, I am always greeted by someone shortly after arriving. The great thing about the staff here is they genuinely seem to like their job and they know their products well. They really helped me build a real interest in their products. They will often demo products in their sinks and tubs and let you sample products too so you can really see how they work! Despite all this, I have also never felt any pressure to make a purchase which I really appreciate. Here is what I like about them: Tons and tons of different scents, if you don't like one smell, try the one next to it! Tons and tons of different products: bath bombs, lotions, bars of soap, shower gel, shampoo bars, yes, that is a thing, they even showed us how they lather up [really want to try one], they even have some cosmetic type of items. They are trying very hard to be as environmentally friendly! They minimize all their packing as much as possible and they recycle their tubs for products that require one. Super awesome. The products aren't super cheap but also not outrageously expensive either, I feel you are definitely paying for a quality product. Lush is the kind of store that I can never walk out empty-handed. The products I have tried and love are: Roots - hair and scalp treatment, the ridiculously hard water in Indy has taken a toll on my hair leaving my scalp itchy and half my hair falling out. I have been using Roots for about two months and I feel its been working great especially for the itchy scalp. Its great in the summer months because the cool mint on the scalp really feels great! Fresh face masks - they have something for every skin type Solid perfume - small tube the size of chapstick, perfect for traveling and they will even do this blind smell test to see what scent you like! Face stuff - coal face (great for sensitive and acne prone skin) and mask of magnaminty (i love this in the summer as this cools down my face) This place is pretty pricey... but they will give you samples of products if they can (not all bars can be cut) read more

Having been recently introduced to their face masks, i can now admit that I was wrong.....these lovely little skin treatments are reasonably priced, natural products that work! A few tips for your visit: the staff is super helpful in assisting customers - but I'd recommend going at off peak times, the store gets crowded quickly! Second - you can ask for samples of nearly every product to try before you buy. I havre found the staff to be generous with sample requests. I'm obsessed. They have hundreds of products at this store for bath and body. The people here are very friendly!! They will show you items AND I tried a scrub and lotion and they put it on and gave me a little hand massage!!! Awesome!! They have body scrubs (my faves are Rub, Rub, Rub and the original Ocean Salt) Massage bars in many scents, they are like a solid lotion and perfect for even a romantic massage or just for moisturizing your body alone. The have these bath bombs that are out-of-this-world. Truly a wonderful bathing experience!! I enjoy bubble bars which are perfect for a great scented bubble bath!! Fresh Face masks with wonderful ingredients, fancy soaps, shampoos, I could go on. Some items are a little pricy but they are worth it and last a good time.
