This shop is awful. As soon as you walk in the door the insincere help is all over you asking if you've tried god knows what noxious concoction they've created last. Go inside and you'll regret it. read more

I have been a loyal customer at Lush for 5+ years. I am always checking out their website and know when a new product is out, etc. I went March 22, 2016 and as soon as I walked in a worker who was a foot away from me yelled "WELCOME TO LUSH DO YOU NEED HELP WITH ANYTHING??????" When I replied no, I'm just looking and walked over to the shampoo section she followed me over and said "Oh that's new do you like it? What do you usually use?" And I replied with "No" thinking that she would leave me alone but she didn't she then said "Oh yeah its either you love it or hate it. Over there are our Easter items." I just looked over, and then back at her and said "Okay." Then when I walked over to the bath bombs and turned to my boyfriend to ask him a question she followed me and asked me where I usually shop. I told her that I live in Boston and I go to the Lush there, but since we were visiting Providence for the day we decided to stop in since I used to go to this Lush when I was in college. She then asked me what college I went to and continued trying to talk to me and show me massage bars. I turned to my boyfriend and said "nevermind let's just go, I won't get anything." As we were leaving the same women who was harassing me the entire time I was there is talking to me as I am walking out. My boyfriend could not stop laughing at how obnoxious it was. I went in knowing I wanted to purchase something and left less than 5 minutes later frustrated. It isn't worth it. read more

My wife who use to love Lush will never go back again. The sales associates were extremely pushy and tried to up sell on everything. They were very rude. They even placed a lotion in her bag without asking...just saying "you need this". This was a place my wife loved. Bummer. read more

I give lush a low rating because the persistent pushy - ness you get when you walk in. I would LOVE to believe that their products are GREAT, but the amount of staff trying to make their commission. I would most likely spend a fortune there because it is all natural and made well, but I walk in and walk out after all the nagging. read more

As a guy I would typically avoid a place like this, but the freshness of the product is quite unique. You pay a bit more but you know what you are getting and the sales ladies where very helpful and kind. FYI if you are getting married soon let them know...my wife got a few free gifts with our purchase. read more

Went there today for the first time, purchased some products. The sales person was fine. Although I feel like they want you in an out of there very quickly. Asked for a sample got one, then asked for an eye cream sample and was asked which one I wanted, and had to give the first one back. The kicker was the sample I got was practically empty. The jury is still out on how good the product works. If my son likes it I'll probably order on line to avoid this less that satisfactory sales experience. read more

I recently went to Lush for the first time because I've only heard such wonderful things about it! It was amazing!!!! Everything smelled great, the reviews I heard DEFINITELY didn't let me down!! There was a girl who worked there, Dani, who was so sweet and SO SOOO helpful! She did demonstrations on my arms for me to help me decide on products and was VERY informative!! read more

Last night was the first and last time I will ever go to this shit-hole. I have never been to a LUSH store before and my sister in law insisted we check it out. I went in, did not get greeted by their many "hipster" employees that seemed more concerned about what was going on that night after work than the customers. I decided to try some of the cuticle butter they had available. I put a very small amount on my hand and rubbed it in, and while doing so an employee came over and said rudely "WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAMPLE SOMETHING?" I replied, "I already have thank you..."... Employee: "OH, WELL WE LIKE TO KEEP THINGS SANITARY HERE AND USE THESE POPSICLE STICKS AT THIS STATION TO SAMPLE THINGS" Me: "OK, thanks for telling me that now"... So ignorant. So rude. So un-helpful. Went right back to discussing her plans for the weekend with her fellow employees. I left there thinking that I really should have shoved that Popsicle stick right up her ass. read more

WOW! I did NOT know that Lush was in the PVD!! I just learned this from Hilary H's Yelp and although I haven't been to the Lush in Providence (nor was I ever in a Lush in the good old US of A) I did, about ten years ago, before LUSH even placed it's flag on land across the pond, find a Lush in London England. My hubby was on a business trip there, and I had time on my hands so I walked and walked and walked (because I did not understand the bus system - ie, the buses never stoppd for me when I tried to wave them down!) and similarly, I was not very successful at hailing cabs either. But I digress. I found myself in a cute neighborhood called Covent Garden -- and meandered into a sort of mall'ish--flea market'ish type building in front of which gold painted mimes were doing their thing in the street -- and came across the lovely scented Lush shop which blew my mind at the time, since no such adorable sweet smelling places existed (at the time) in the US unless you wish to count The Body Shop, which just doesn't do it for me. The shop bewitchingly pulled me in, as if with a magnet. I wanted to buy EVERYTHING there. Everything was so beautiful and smelled so good and looked so FRESH (and yes, I suppose even LUSH). Given this was ten or more years ago, all that I remember was that I purchased a great big chunk of Lentil Shampoo (it was in solid form, in a chunk, looking a bit like a block of fresh Parmeggano Reggiano). I used it that evening and it made even my then 50-something hair look shiny and amazing. I used it back home til it ran out - and tried to order it on line. At that point in time Lush was not too terrific about selling stuff in the U.S. online - they seemed to be set up to ship to Canada, but not to my home. I also, on that day in London, purchased some very, very delicious smelling foot powder - one of it's purposes was to be used as a soak for sore feet - of which I had two, at the time. Yes, my feet WERE sore from walking so far (and back to the hotel which was across from Buckingham Palace!!) but this powder smelled SO very amazing, I practically wanted to inhale it. The smell was something akin to the taste of sen-sen, (which was a teensy weensy little chop of a breath mint from the days of yore). I mixed some with water and soaked my poor tootsies, and then I powdered my feet with it afterwards. Still possessing some of the lovely foot powder after I got home, I used some to give my sweet doggie a dry bath. She didn't even seem to mind, and she sure smelled good! Now that I know Lush is here in the PVD at PPMall, I am truly psyched. But it's Black Friday so I will contain myself and not drive there today! (Perhaps I will venture out there tomorrow though!) It sure would be nice to have shiny hair again. :-) read more

nice little store. expensive but if you know anything about Lush it's to be expected. nice staff

Every time I go in there is jam packed full of people and it's hard to walk thru the store and look around peacefully without having a full blown panic attack. Staff is pretty helpful, and nice..although I'd appreciate if they would stop trying to get my daughter to try all these samples and get their up-sales by bating my daughter because then I tell her no and never hear the end of it! My favorite product is the ocean salt face scrub. I work outside and my face is always dirty and sweaty from work, this stuff gets a deep clean and my skin always feels so smooth! It's pricey but worth it! read more

I don't think I've ever had another customer service experience that has even come close to how wonderful the sales associates were to me today. Best part, I was looking for a gift and told the associate helping me (Alec) that I wanted a gift set. Not only did he take me through to smell/sample every single product that came in the different boxes I was looking at, but also stayed conscious of my budget. Didn't try to upsell me and was even apologetic that they didn't have more options in my price range. I was also lucky enough to go in at a time that was fairly slow and everyone working was more than willing to offer tips/knowledge/general help, etc. Everyone was so enthusiastic about being there and educating me on the products I even ended up buying something for myself as well! I only dock one star because the store is fairly small and can get a little cramped when crowded. Other than that, fantastic shopping experience! read more

Took my son into Prov today to find him a gift for his mother. We ended up in Lush not knowing what it was about and it was perfect. The staff were super helpful and awesome with my 5 year old. They helped him find the right gift for mommy. Great product great staff. Ill be back when i can poke around alone. read more

The employees are so sweet here. Even if you don't buy anything, they will still treat you like a customer unlike other places. But it us Way too small in here. read more

Have to agree with most other reviewers -- the pushiness of the staff is a bit much. It's difficult to walk in and not be bombarded by them wanting to give you a hand scrub or talk about the products. I enjoy the passion that most of them exhibit, but a lot of times it's just overwhelming. At times I feel dissuaded to shopping because I'm being treated like an ignorant newbie instead of someone who knows what she wants and where to get it. Yes, I've used the solid shampoos. Yes, I like this one. No, I don't want to get that one, I've tried it before. EVERY TIME, same conversations. The products, though, cannot be BEAT. As much as I love instant gratification, I almost suggest shopping the website and skipping the in-store harrassment. read more

Great LUSH store! This one has a fabulous view of Providence, too. Whether you come for the view, or for some awesome products, the gals (and guys? I only saw gals when I was there) will help you out! They have lots of great holiday stuff right now, but any time of year you can get awesome soaps, skincare and bath stuff. Some of my favorites are the fresh masks (especially Love Lettuce, which holds a special place in my heart), King of Skin body butter (perfect for after shaving), and the bath bombs (especially the new creamy ones, there's a variety, you'll just have to ask one of the sweet employees!) I worked at LUSH once upon a time, so I do know how the employees are supposed to act, and this store was full of employees who KNOW how to do their job, and do it well. I was impressed with the service, and really happy with what I got there. Wish I remembered the name of the girl who helped me, because she was great. I'll definitely be back if I'm in Providence again! read more

Absolutely LOVE LUSH!! Being someone with sensitive skin its hard to find products that don't bother me, but LUSH never has. Always smells great, products are perfect quality. Prices are high but most products are totally worth it. When we went to the Providence location Heddy was super sweet! We had no clue about the different types of face masks and she helped us decide what was right for our skin type. Small store, but great service and products. read more

I just got back from LUSH, which I went to after reading the other reviews. I was terrified that the sales lady would be grabbing me, rubbing things on my arm, telling me "this is my favorite! You have to get it!" but none of that happened. I went pretty early in the morning, so only the manager was there, and I was the only customer. I had my husband and my 7-month-old son with me. The girl working there somehow simultaneously gave me information on products (that I asked about) and entertained my son. If I was looking into buying a product that wouldn't be good for my skin or hair type, she let me know and gave me suitable alternatives to consider. She. Was. Lovely. The products don't smell like I imagined they would, but I'm not sure yet whether that's a bad thing. I have something around 25 products to smell and figure out, so I haven't decided how I like them. Lush is *expensive*. There's no way to get around it. The chunks of soap (about a bar and a half worth if you're buying any other soap) were mostly around 20.00. A lot of the other products, though, were bigger than I had imagined them to be, so I feel like I got a better deal with them. All in all, I loved the experience I had at Lush and I'll definitely be going back. read more

I have to start off by saying I absolutely love Lush products, however... I had a very very very bad experience at the Providence Place Mall location. These sales women are totally obnoxious. There are two women working there who were pushy, rude, and most importantly, trying to sell me items that I DO NOT USE in my usual routine. I will NEVER go back there, I will NEVER recommend that location to anyone EVER!! A word of advice to Lush; you will LOSE business from having sales people who act like this. It is a very bad reflection on your company. Good luck... read more

anyone who has anything bad to say about this company or this location is nuts!!! this place is wonderful. having worked in customer service for over 5 years i know the ins and outs of a retail job. Every time i walk into a Lush store i am greeted by a friendly and knowledgable employee. They listen to my needs and what i am looking for and give great suggestions. I always leave the store with a full bag and a satisfied feeling. The girls/guys who work there are great. Even if the products were crap i would come back just for the people. LUSH trains their workers wonderfully. The communication skills and product knowledge are outstanding. I feel like i've made a new friend every time i speak with an employee. Love what their company stands for. read more
