Whereas I mentioned that the staff at Café Harris always seem to be happy and smiling (apart from when they're shouting at each other in Korean, but even that doesn't seem too bad), the staff at Lush Bucket always seem to be angry about something. Not angry at each other, they appear to get on with one another, just generally a bit grouchy! I've worked in hospitality, I know the joys of having to deal with demanding customers when you're really not feeling great, but I think these people might be in the wrong game. Although to be fair, they do make a good, strong coffee, which is the reason I go and their muesli with yoghurt and stewed fruit was fantastic, but seriously, the service could do with a once over. They do a good selection of sandwiches ($7.90) and apparently their pasta is pretty good too (price dependent on size).
But at the end of the day, as long as I get a decent coffee I don't really mind if the barista isn't in the best mood. read more
