This is an iconic place in Luquillo, on the PR-3. The kiosks consist of over 50 businesses. They range from restaurants to dive bars and souvenirs shops. There is parking in front and in back. It is usually very busy on the weekends and evenings. As such, parking can be difficult to acquire and can be frustrating. You can pick one place to visit or hop from establishment to establishment. The is beach access by the back parking spots. The kiosks are centrally located. They are next to Luquillo Beach and a few minutes away from Rio Mar, El Yunque, and downtown Luquillo. They have very simple food but well prepared and fresh. The menu is a little confusing because there are no descriptions or pictures, so hopefully, the pictures here will help! The Crab taquitos were very good as an appetizer - this is wonton dough filled with fake crab and cream cheese. The flavors were great, it came out super hot, the dough was well fried and very crispy. The Octopus salad is actually like a ceviche. It had a lot of olive oil for my taste and lacked a little bit of salt, but the octopus was cooked to a good degree of doneness and it was very flavorful. My side was sweet potato fries which were amazing! They lacked salt but the texture - super crispy on the outside but soft on the inside - was just perfect. Non-Food Stuff: Food came out fast. Came here on a weekend trip with my gf and was suggested we check out the kiosks from a coworker who grew up on PR. When you first drive by you wouldn't expect what you're about to get. We got there at about 1045am as we were going to grab a bite and head up to el yunque. Unfortunately, most of these places don't open till around 11 so we had limited options. Ended up going to kiosk 59 and got some food their. They had this deep fried plantain stuffed with beef that was fire . I could eat those every day for the rest of my life and be a happy man. Also got some kind of deep fried mashed potato ball, a steak mufongo and 4 beers. Came out to about $30 bucks which is pretty cheap considering the amount of food you got. After hiking el yunque we came back and this place was ridiculously busy. The beach was perfect and lots of families hanging out. We had a quick bite on a rooftop restaurant and headed back to San Juan. If you're in PR I highly recommend coming here to experience what the locals do. read more

If you're in the area, stop here - go to any of the restaurants in here and get some food. They have it all. I went to 4 or 5 of the spots here and ordered drinks / apps & eventually a meal. It was so fun - everyone was very kind and the people who didn't speak English entirely still did their best. Just an overall really good experience. Locals go here, so, hopefully that tells you something! It's a long line (60) of stalls full of food, gift shops & bars, separated from the ocean by a road and then the highway on the other side. Just a really solid, beautiful place to spend some time and support the local economies business owners and employees. 5 stars! read more

Sorry Luquillo Kiosks, I wanted to go a little higher on the ratings, but I believe this is legit. Its appreciated that the Luquillo Kiosks exist, but it's sad that the appreciation is let down commonly. We've been in town and have gone to, or tried to go to, the stands a number of times. The variety of which kiosks are open and when, varies as much as cards in a deck. Who's open or not, and when, is entirely unpredictable. IF you can find one open that suites your tastebuds though, it's a good enough alternative to sitting in some restaurant somewhere. And if nothing else, it can be a bit entertaining just wandering back and forth seeing a variety of yum yums. Also it seems most places have an opening to the beach side, making it easy to grab some grub and go sit in the sand (and get it all in your food). Go check out the Luquillo Kiosks, hopefully soon they'll get some stability going with hours/days open. read more

Our tour guide drove us about an hour away from our hotel (it's only 22 miles away but because of the small roads and terrible traffic) to grab some food after our hike up to the rainforest. These kiosks look like Chinatown in LA.. only worse. Weather is crazy. It started storming out of no where. Obviously nothing we can do but just be prepared! I really liked the smoothies from the food truck, Fruitty World. SO DELICIOUS! There's so many different flavors of fruits you can choose from! If you ever pass by one of these bright orange trucks, do not let the opportunity pass! The drinks are $5.25 and totally worth it! While most the reviews are pretty high, for me I wasn't all that impressed. Most of the food kiosks sell the same deep fried stuff. Not many options that I saw for non-deep fried options. Quite a few of them were really sit down restaurants with prices that were quite high (maybe because this is a touristy thing now) for what was being served. There are quite a few souvenir shops mixed in. Parking is lacking. It's a one way entry along the kiosks. I saw a couple close calls, so beware if you are in a rental. It is right along the beach, so you can grab your food and chill in the sand. For me, not sure that I would visit again. read more

The Luqillo Kiosks are an enclave of businesses ranging from restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, food stalls and is conveniently located right off of the main PR-3 highway in Luqillo. Now at first glance it may come off as touristy, but when you dive in and start investigating you will see that ALL the locals love this place!! With good reasons because you could spend an entire day here seeing as how the amazing Luqillo beach area is within walking distance right behind the whole place! You can go to the beach and work up your appetite then simply walk over for the dizzying array of food options! This place has everything you could want as far as meats, seafood, poultry, deep fried items, rice dishes, salads, STRONG drinks, etc.... We went there almost everyday during our stay in Puerto Rico if that tells the true story! You absolutely have to go if you are visiting the Rainforest area of the island. We had a wild and crazy drunken day after hiking in the rainforest and I am so glad we were able to experience these kiosks. I cannot remember all that I got to enjoy here but I do recall the whole pineapples with the pina coladas in it + mini bacardi rum bottoles, the fresh coconut drinks, and the various mojitos from the mojito stand. We tried several variations of mofongo and pastelilos which I enjoyed. I also ended up at a tavern at some point and enjoyed fresh made pineapple pizza. Conveniently located on the highway heading from El Yunque back to Fajardo, the Luquillo Kiosks are an institution worth visiting if you want to try a lot of different classic foods. Alcapurrias, Sorullos, Piononos, Morcilla, Empanadas, and Jibaritos abound for a cheap price. Everything was pretty average though we definitely got our oil fix. You can get way better flavors and fresher foods at restaurants, but there's something fun about pointing to foods that intrigue you and paying a few bucks to taste things. A novelty worth trying only once. Pro tip: there's a big flashy drink truck in the parking lot that makes some super super decadent drinks. Like a Pina Colada with mountains of whipped cream and Oreo cookies (see photo). Definitely worth checking out to wash away the oil with sugar. read more

Half the kiosks were closed on a weekday afternoon (Tuesday), but the ones that were opened were really good! There was plenty of parking and only one tour bus during that time. Directions were a bit confusing, but follow the Yelp address/map and you'll get there just fine. -Tito's Oysters and Clams (near Kiosk 60) had half a dozen oysters for $8. They're super fresh and juicy from Louisiana and Boston. He shucks them right in front of you. -Kiosk 53 chicken and rice!! Super tender and well marinated chicken on white rice is the way to go for $8. Those two were good but the rest were eh. There was one kiosk out of the 60 selling souvenirs and all the kiosks in the 50s were basically selling the same thing. Nice stop if you are coming to Luquillo or from El Yunque, but don't go out of your way to check it out. Maybe it's better when more are opened on weekends, but I'm sure it'll be super busy/crowded. read more

Epic epic epic! All the food you could enjoy from Puerto Ricans (except La Parilla, which we were told was created by Americans) to support the natives we skipped that spot. Located on the northeastern side of the island, these kiosks are a must see! When making plans to go to Fajardo or El Yunque national park, you should make it a point to stop here because it's on the way. Plus there's a beach here too. This is the best and cheapest place to sample Puerto Rican street food. Here are some examples: Puerto Rican tacos. Basic concept of a taco, but the shell is wrapped around the meat and deep fried. Mofongo - Shell made of mashed up plantains and filled with meat. Piononos - Kind of like a fried turn-over made of a batter and meat. Pinchos - Shish kebobs Fried Plantains - They eat them like french fries. It's great to walk around and hang out in a pair of shorts and flip flops. This is one of the best place for food and drinks. We did have our dinner at vegigante and the food was out of the world. We did order vegetarian pasta and avacado filled vegetables and they were too good. We did have happy hour mojitos as well and then moved to Kongo for coco Fricco and that was sweet and great too. Okay this place is EVERYTHING. I had the best trifongo I've ever ate in my life at one of the kiosks here. They have over 100 kiosks so be ready to walk! They also have gift shops if you need to pick something nice and fairly priced out for yourself or your loved ones. Everyone I encountered was sooo sweet and in a great mood. This place was so fun to go to either after a visit to El Yunque Rain Forest or before for a quick bite to eat! 1. I liked the variety of foods and options and prices were really affordable 2. Mi Parilla - was on the pricey side but the food was EXCELLENT! The fresh lobster, fried red snapper, and the churrasco steak was all melt in your mouth GOODNESS! 3. The mojitos passed our test, very flavorful and just the right amount of a kick! 4. If you like fresh oysters/clams try the "Ostras" from the van and mind you they are HUGE and the homemade PR hot sauce is tasty! This place is a hidden gem and I am so glad we randomly saw this on our way to the beach! There are many stalls that sell a variety of food and drinks. We started off eating mofungos and empanadas.
