Medium chillo frito com arepa de coco
Kia R.

Espectacular! Estaba tan rico, fresco, y el ambiente era 10/10!! You can park on the side of the rode. We got 3 chillo Fritos, with tostones, arepa de coco. Amazing! That arepa de coco is burned into my heart forever. Soooo good! We got fresh lemonade, again, soooo good!! And you MUST get the passion fruit pique. It's house made and the best pique I've had in Fajardo.

3.5 stars. Food here is good. Not amazing, but good. It's got a great view of the bay. Parking can be challenging as you'll be parking down the street.

Plantains and snapper

We came to check it out to see if it had a generator. There was a power outage (island wide) and also pouring rain when we came. On the app it said it was closed, but when we got there it was open. There was not much parking. We went up to the window and ordered. The woman at the window told us that the snapper was fresh and was just caught today. The back had some cool seating next to the ocean and we got a visitor :)! A woman that lives here said that it comes every day. You could also see small sharks swimming around in the ocean. Shortly after we started looking into the ocean our food came out (maybe 8 minutes). Everyone was super nice. We got two fresh, fried snappers, fries, plantains, and a salad. The plantain was ok, but the fish and fries were super good. I loved it! Im begging you to go. (if you like fish, of course!)

Sweet potato fries and home made arepa

OMG We got the fried snapper with the arepa and sweet potato fries I am from Florida and this is one of the best snappers I ever had The home made arepa accentuated the snapper and the sweet potato fries were the bomb It's a small little place but one of the best fish places in Farjardo

Fried fish with tostones

The food was so delicious and amazing. The whole fish was about $25 but definitely worth it. The customer service was really great and the lady explained all the menu items in detail. There was one lady who was a bit rude to us and ignored us at the front. But the other lady there was so attentive that it made up for it. I would come back again!

Great view..

The food was very good. However, I am giving them 3 stars due to the bad service. We waited a very long time for the waiter to take our order. We ordered a second round of drinks which never came. According to the waiter the bartender left on break and didn't say anything. The whole fried fish was fresh and tasty as well as the grilled octopus, they just need to work on better service.

First, this is a 'local' dining experience. No frills, no alcohol and we didn't have table service. We ordered at the counter and then they brought it to us. Why should you go here? For great food, great view, great experience. Parking was precarious The Sunday afternoon that we went there, my husband let me out of the car and then squeezed our rental against the rock wall across from the place. I know, I'm not really selling this place, right? It was one of the most unique experiences we had here. We were starving after getting off the ferry from Vieques. There were lots of restaurants in the area, but the reviews here got my attention and it's where I decided we had to go. There was a rope blocking the entrance to the tables. Apparently the staff decides whether you get to have a seat and thank goodness we passed the test. I didn't see anyone refused service. We may have been the only tourist there that day. It appeared to be mostly locals. There is not much english spoken here, but they worked with us. I ordered the whole fried red snapper which came in small, medium or large size and was devine. I highly recommend it and wish I had ordered a bigger size. Rob got the octopus that was marinated, chopped and in a pita. It was good, but not as excellent as the fish. They had coconut or plain arepas too. I will admit I was a bit intimidated because of my lack of understanding the spanish menu and wished I had done a bit more research before I tried to order, but the fish was really what I wanted and got. We sat at a counter facing the water and soon realized there were numerous giant tarpons roiling in the water hoping to catch the heads and bones of the fish that customers tossed to them. It was quite entertaining. We also watched boats going back and forth. There was a lovely breeze. They serve a nonalcoholic pina colada that was delicious. If we go back to this area, I will definitely go here again. It has a homey, laid back atmosphere, with great views and food. I think there is something for everyone to eat here. We both left here happy.

Lemonade is really good

Good fried fish: Nice and fresh. No designated parking, just on the street. Little hold-in-the-wall place but the views are good of the harbor. Staff were friendly but the ordering process was confusing. You order first, then get to sit if there is availability. Definitely a locals type of place but they were friendly to us out-of-towners. Lemonade is really good too. This really would be a 3-star place but the views make it worth it.

Arepa de camarones

Very good fresh fish but pretty expensive.Location is good especially the huge fish right in the water that people often throw little pieces of food to watch them jump out ... sometimes a seagull will snatch food mid-air

Octopus salad and cod fish stew
Moon H.

Seafood restaurant at its best location of the eastern island tip. Your table is overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean and the huge tarpon fish are swimming in front of you. The staff (maybe the owner) is extremely friendly when you look at or act like you can't speak Spanish. We are not even Hungary, but we just want to keep experiencing the local community without any trace of the mainland influence. We had a very refreshing octopus salad and cod fish stew. The homemade lemonade is something you shall have in a warm day. What tops the best of the best is the view. Priceless.

Delicious fresh food, you can see the fish right in front! Love this place and the wonderful hospitality!! Best arepas ever!!!!!!

Fried cehillo.

A little local fresh fish restaurant which is incredible. The arepas with fresh octopus, conch and crab is to die for them we ordered the fried fish and that was spectacular.

We stayed at the condos a couple minutes away so we decided to give them a shot based on the good reviews. Our waitress gave us all the best suggestions on the menu. I ordered the monfongo y camerones (shrimp) with the cilantro sauce. It was so good i almost ordered it twice just to take the second order home. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want some amazing Puerto Rican food.

I normally don't write long reviews, but this experience needed to be shared. My partner and I…read moretraveled from New York to Puerto Rico to visit his family for Thanksgiving week, and we decided to take his parents, siblings, and nephew out for a nice pre-Thanksgiving dinner. We saw Kalizo , thought it looked upscale and promising, and chose it for what was supposed to be a special family night. Instead, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was disrespectful and careless. We were a party of six, and the host simply pointed to a section and told us to "sit over there" -- no greeting, no walk-through. He dropped the menus on the table and walked away. We sat for over 20 minutes with no one approaching us for drinks or orders. We had to stop multiple staff members just to ask, "Can we please get a waiter?" Each time we were told someone was coming, but no one did. When the waiter finally showed up, he acted rushed, uninterested, and dismissive. He kept telling us that several items we wanted were "not available," rushing us to pick something else. I ended up ordering something quick because I honestly didn't know if he'd ever come back. Meanwhile, there were only about three other tables occupied, and we noticed something very uncomfortable: The English-speaking white customers were getting A1 treatment -- constant refills, servers checking in on them, drinks delivered correctly, food synchronized -- everything. Our table, where we were mostly speaking Spanish with my partner's family, was basically ignored. Our drinks came out wrong. Refills took three or more requests. Food came out one plate at a time, so half the table was done eating before the rest of us even received our meals. My plate was missing the sides and sauces it came with. I had to physically get up and find someone to ask for them. At one point, after asking three times for a Sprite refill, I just stood up and went straight to someone and said, "Can you please just bring me a Sprite can, a to-go box, and the check?" because I had enough. The food itself? Not good. Definitely not worth the price. And the service? Terrible. A woman who worked there quietly apologized to us and said she saw everything happening, but she couldn't intervene because she wasn't a server. That says enough about the environment. Overall, it felt like we were treated differently simply because they assumed we were locals or because we were speaking Spanish. Meanwhile, the tables of English-speaking tourists got excellent service. What was supposed to be a nice family dinner turned into a frustrating, embarrassing, and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place, especially if you're expecting fair service or celebrating something special.

We do travel with a wheelchair. The server was very good and well knowledgeable on the menu. He was even photographed in the menu. We ordered a couple cocktails as well as many appetizers. We didn't order any entrees, as our family likes to try many things. My wife's favorite is ceviche and she was impressed by this dish. (Order it) We also ordered fish bites. Solid choice as the guava sauce was memorable. La arepas de coconut. Solid. The fish empanadas were great. Definitely order those. But calamari was chewy and overcooked. I'd pass on this. Cocktails were amazing. Spicy margarita is spicy!! I had a mojito which was delicious. You won't go wrong with any cocktail. Server was great. He did mention to me that we should order soon as the kitchen will get busy. We waited as we were enjoying our dinner. (We didn't have any problems) I'd go back. I'd also suggest sticking to your plan. It's your evening and don't let service control the experience. At the end of it...you control the tip = thank you.

I also tried the coconut mojito on the rocks, which was a standout: refreshing, well-balanced, and served with fruit (strawberry, cherry, and blueberries) mixed in. My wife had the fish mofongo, which she felt was just okay--decent, but not particularly memorable. That said, overall this is a great dinner spot if you're in the area. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors; we opted to sit outside since the AC inside was a bit too cold. Definitely worth checking out for a relaxed meal and solid cocktails.
