They were compassionate, attentive, professional, and I truly appreciate the medical care I received from them. Unfortunately, my experience before being seen was extremely concerning. I arrived around 1:50 AM experiencing severe pain radiating from the front of my body to my back, along with chest pain and difficulty breathing. I informed the registration staff that I was in excruciating pain and could barely speak because of my condition. Despite explaining my symptoms, I was told I would have to wait because several people were ahead of me. I then remained in the waiting room for approximately three to four hours while my condition worsened. During that time, my pain became unbearable, my breathing became more difficult, and by the time I was finally called back, I could barely walk or breathe comfortably. I understand emergency rooms can become busy, but waiting hours while experiencing chest pain, severe pain, and breathing difficulty was frightening and unacceptable. My concern is not with the medical staff who treated me once I was admitted, but with the registration and wait-time process. I strongly encourage Luminis Health to review its triage and patient reassessment procedures to ensure patients with serious symptoms receive more timely attention and care. I also ask that this feedback not be met with a generic response stating that the matter will be reviewed. Concerns regarding emergency room wait times and triage procedures are clearly ongoing issues, and patients deserve to know what meaningful changes are actually being implemented to address these repeated complaints and prevent similar experiences in the future. Thank you in advance for providing a meaningful and transparent response regarding how these concerns are being addressed.

I had rotator cuff surgery. It went well. The problem is the physical therapy. I had already been in PT prior to having surgery and didn't have many of my 30 available sessions remaining. I called my insurance company and they were very specific with me that I could get more sessions however my doctor must call a special number to request more visits. I contacted his office and they said NO, they do not talk to insurance companies and that my PT place simply had to send in a new order. I tried it. It didn't work. Talked to insurance again and they said Doc must call. Made an appointment. paid to go see him. explained the situation. he said he would call. after a week insurance says he hasn't called so I email him and receive response from an office person who tells me that they will not call insurance. So here I sit. Having racked up THOUSANDS of dollars in PT expenses I cannot afford to go anymore. My shoulder is not healed. I am still in pain. My doctor's office won't make one phone call for me. My insurance company will not approve more PT until they talk to doctor. And on I go. Looks like my surgery was a waste of time and loads of money as I cant go back to PT to complete my rehab unless I rob a bank. Health "Care" in this country is broken.

Every step of the way from the front office, to Dr. Petre, to his PA and his staff, along with the hospital and follow up care as well as my physical therapy, I was utterly impressed with the care I was given. I would highly recommend Dr. Petre and the Anne Arundel Medical Group Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Specialist.

Do NOT SEE DR RESNICK I was so glad to find these other…read morereviews and know that I am not being overly sensitive. I have never had a more rude or dismissive interaction with a doctor. I didn't realize how bad it was until I told my husband, and he was shocked. Upon entering the room, Dr. Resnick did not announce or introduce himself (he startled me after I felt the presence of someone standing and staring at me). Clearly very annoyed, he said, "so you haven't even finished the check in papers. Geez, you're only on page 3." He took the intake forms from me and filled the rest out. In response to my history of alcohol abuse and current sobriety (which felt relevant to many of the questions regarding anxiety, etc.) he said, "what you should have done was never touch that stuff to begin with....it's good you've stopped but when things get tough, that's when you're going to drink again", as well as, "well it looks like you're finally doing the right things, you just should have done them sooner". I have a one year old and have felt on the verge of breakdown because of my chronic insomnia, on top of caring for a child. He prescribed me to "make myself more tired". I started crying at the thought of not allowing myself to get into bed until 2am (as he said) and getting out of bed at 6am. I have already been running on 4 or less hours of sleep per night, which is what brought me to this office in the first place. He then prescribed me an antidepressant (he didn't tell me what it was, or what it would do for my sleep - I had to Google it afterwards) as well as Klonopin, which he said himself he was hesitant to prescribe because of my history with alcohol. Leaving his office, I felt completely unheard, misunderstood, confused, like an idiot and totally hopeless about my sleep. I'm unsure why Dr. Resnick ever became a doctor. Perhaps his interest lies solely in the academics and biology. He clearly takes no interest in actually helping every day people. I will not be following his "prescriptions" and will get another opinion/help elsewhere. What a waste of time, money and energy - for both of us.

Apparently I'm a masochist,…read morebecause I was a patient of theirs for years - which meant never getting calls back, never being able to schedule appts, and unending frustration with prescriptions. They allowed my VITAL prescription to lapse several times - simply out of laziness - before I finally left the practice. You literally have to drive down there and get in their faces, and they still just tell you they'll handle the issue and send you on your way. I'm not even going to get into the incredibly creepy, weird, and unsafe sleep tests they do at the Holiday Inn Express... Whether your issue is pulmonary or sleep, I strongly encourage you to go to literally any other doctor. And don't pay attention to the reviews on their site, as they cherry-picked the few good ones from Google, where they actually have under 2 stars.
