I'm pretty much going to always chose Mexican food if you ask me where to go. My BFF and I were hanging out in Dallas and when it was time for a early dinner Arlington seemed like the most neutral location. I'm not a big fan of the crowds in the Highlands and I live much closer to North Arlington and have been to every Mexican place with the except of Lupe's. It was 9 so for Arlington that is late but they are open until 10:30. We were cheerfully greeted and seated right away. Very nice waiter told us the Margaritas were really good and strong. Cool because it had been a long day and I needed one. The drinks were very strong I would return just for chips, salsa and a margarita. In my own weirdness I order Cheese Enchiladas with Ranchero sauce. If you have bad Cheese Enchilada, well let's just say I won't be back anytime soon. Lucky for Lupe's they dot it right. My BFF ordered Rangers and Cowboys and was equally impressed with her meal. I think for the price and the service I will be back and I hope I'm not disappointed. We ordered table side guacamole as an appetizer and our entrees. They brought the entree and when asked about guacamole, it was "oh yeah". Told her to forget it now. Her attitude went south. The only thing that made me question the quality of the food is because within 5 minutes of ordering, we received our food. I see many complaints of how long it took for their food to come but we experienced the quite opposite. I literally got my food before my margarita. Did they microwave it? Was it already made? A convenient location, parking can be a challenge. As a local resident, it suffers the curse of restaurants in this area of the Game Day crowds and parking issues. That being said the food and service are consistent, but not extraordinary. There are better choices in Arlington. read more

Ok .... Where to start ? First our server is one the BEST I have ever had anywhere ! He has not let anything get half empty . We ordered the table side Guaq .... Mmmmmm little spicy and everything was fresh . Let's chat about the black bean dip they bring warm to the table . I figured out what is in it by the time we got the 2nd bowl . CRACK ! It's gotta be !unless there is something more addictive then crack and then that's what it is . LAWD can I get a WITNESS ? ! ? I ordered the beef fajita chimi with queso . The beef was seasoned perfect and it was fork tender without being weird consistency . As you guessed, like most places around the stadiums, has a sports bar type feel. And i'd have to say they worked it in quite nicely with it being a Mexican food restaurant. I don't know if it was just me, but it seemed like i was overwhelmed with the amount of items on the menu...let's tone it down a bit. Service was horrible, absolutely horrible. We got up twice to get beer at the bar because our waiter would never come to our table. That's a pretty big complaint, but i honestly think it was just the busy night and they were short staffed, otherwise i really feel like it wouldn't have gotten 3 stars. If you guessed i ordered the chimichanga, you guessed right. Cheese and more cheesed, i loved it! Chicken was great as well with perfectly cooked bell peppers. Now i will say it could have been cooked a little longer, i do like a crispy golden outside and this fail to meet that standard. Typical beans and rice. I would imagine for the location this place is a safe bet to go to. Foods pretty good, but if you have a chance and don't need to be around that area i would take a little drive somewhere else. Only recently started coming here and have kinda liked it. Salsa and bean dip is pretty good and they kept bringing chips out which was nice. I ordered one of the speciality plates but only after having to look up the menu on my phone because there were no details on the menu they gave us. I don't know how I am supposed to know what Ana or Christian's favorite is based solely on the name and a price. Kind of annoying. The main problem I have with this place is the waitstaff. They seem like they haven't been on the job very long or haven't been trained properly. I tried to order a drink but no one seemed to have any idea of what to recommend. Not asking for an under 21 year old to give me a full rundown but a little guidance would be nice. The waitstaff either came by too often, which gets annoying, or kept talking about their personal problems, which I can't really help them with. A solid tex-mex joint. I had a combo with a tamal, enchilada and a taco and everything hit the spot. I was surprised at how much I liked the beef taco - something about the ground beef seasoning? The service was mind-glowingly fast. Like, we ordered, I went to wash my hands and right after I got back to my table the food was ready and hot. This place is pretty standard as far as Tex mex goes. I feel like it's maybe a step up from on the border. I don't typically eat tex mex, honestly I prefer authentic Latin food over it any-day but I am trying to be fair with my critique. The chips and salsa were ok but the black bean dip tasted like mashed black beans from a can, I was intrigued at first because you don't see that often but that awe died after the first bite. When my entree came out I was disappointed with the size, but I'll take quality over quantity. Unfortunately for me this plate was neither , the guiso was extremely salty and frankly wasn't that good. I am glad I didn't pay for this meal because I would have been pretty upset with myself. I've ordered a couple of times from here, for takeout, and both times they messed it up. The first time was really minor, so I didn't say anything. Last weekend, it was kind of a ridiculous mess up (there were a few things, but the big one was they gave me a crunchy taco, with no filling. Just an empty taco shell with a pile of lettuce and cheese next to it. They up-charged me for the substitution, and did not do the substitution that I asked. Their food is OK, not great. I do not recommend the cheese enchiladas. I *love* their chips. I almost always give businesses a chance to fix it, before I leave a bad review. I called them to tell them about their mistakes last weekend. The manager was supposed to call me back, and nobody ever did. i've also eaten on their patio once, since this whole virus mess started, and our waitress was great, and used sanitizer and clean gloves, and was very attentive. The food was just ok that night, too. It's nothing to write home about. Except the chips. I get cravings for those. read more

We had ordered milk for our 4 and 2 year old, after the meal our 4 year old told us the milk was funny. We tried it and found it was obviously expired. We had already payed, so we told our waiter and they went into the kitchen, came out with a gallon of milk and drank it in front of us and told us the milk was fine. They only took off the milk from our recipt and didnt even apologize, and they refused to smell or taste of the milk they served us. We had to stay an extra 20 minutes just to try and deal with this. Went to lunch today and I will be back! So good. It's in Lincoln Square near Olen Grille, and not far from Jason's Deli. It was excellent. Walk in to a great atmosphere with lunch specials for each weekday. They sat me in a booth, which as a single, I really appreciated. I ordered the Beef Burrito Al Cabron. Choice of sauce. I selected Queso of course. Meanwhile the brought me the chips, salsa, and the most awesome Black bean dip that is warm! Yummy! Luis waited in me and was so nice. When the food arrived, it was spectacular. Whatever is in that burrito, it sure isn't Taco Bell beans and faux beef. This has such a grilled flavor that just writing about it makes me want to go back. Tonight! Now, I will try to attach a picture. Oh yes, they have Shrimp enchiladas too. That's next on my order. Food is good, but man is the service bad. Went there last night for dinner at 7:00pm and no one was even at the hostess stand. Waited there for about 5-10 minutes and finally left without anyone ever coming up there. Kinda as a joke, because I was bored, while I was waiting I called them (the main phone is right by the hostess stand). It rang and rang and still no one came up to answer it. So weird. I've been here several times and it's always the same thing. They are lucky I like their Mexico tacos and sometimes don't mind waiting forever for service. We are visiting from Houston and I wanted Mexican food and Lupe's was close so I said let's try it. We had chili con queso with chips to start with and the chips were okay. They seem very thick not light. The chili con queso was also okay not anything special. My husband got the fajitas, which according to him they had no flavor. He also was upset that the tortillas were not homemade but he still ate them. I got the Bedford and it was good except for the enchiladas the corn tortillas was not soft. The taco was good except the shell was stale and the cheese was melted on the plate. The sauce chili con carne was very good. The rice and bean very also good. They had great flavor. The tamale was okay. The masa very very thick with little meat. But they did taste good. My son was going to have ice cream but they didn't have it, which was disappointing. The waitress we had was amazing! She was very sweet and I love that she would smile everytime she came to the table. She had our glasses filled and clearing the plates as we finished. Thw place was alright. I have definently had better food. For the price I paid, I wld have thought it wld have had a better taste. Started off with some queso. Which I thought was pretty bland. I added some.of the salsa sauce to the queso which made it taste better. The salsa was on the Spicer side which I like and I will say the bean dip was very good. I was with a very large party and I understand that with large parties, it does take time to get the food. But we waited over an hour for our food to come out. I got the brisket enchiladas with queso. For the price, I thought it wld have been better. The brisket was moist but just didn't seem like there was very much seasoning on it. And when it came out, it was not very hot. Was about medium warmth. The people that helped out the server were very nice and attentive. Our server also kept great composure when some of the other customers with our party started getting short with him. His name was Armando. I know that can be hard sometimes when dealing with difficult people. I know because I work in the restraunt industry. But observing the staff, no one smiled. Everyone was straight faced and serious. There were maybe 10 people eating there and 3 servers plus a girl bringing chips and hot sauce. You would think with a ratio of around 3 to 1 that service would be outstanding. You would be wrong. It took around 10 minutes to get water. Then another 10 minutes before the waiter, Gerardo came back with a menu. I ordered an unsweetened tea with lemon and then he asked if I wanted sweet or unsweetened tea. I knew I was in trouble then. 10 more minutes to get tea without lemon. Food came about 20 minutes later. I must say the brisket tacos were pretty good. I am home writing this and I still haven't gotten a napkin or silverware to eat with. So I have no idea if the beans or rice were any good as I didn't feel like scooping them out with my fingers. I guess it was good that I got tacos. I could actually feel myself getting older there as I was waiting. So if you have an hour and a half to kill and you want really slow bad service with mediocre food, then this is your place. read more
