Great place to take kids out for short day out. Season pass holder here kids love to feed the goats and see the other animals. I hope they get more animals cause seems like starting to make some upgrades.

We had the best time at the Lupa Zoo in Ludlow, MA. My daughter and grand daughter and 2 little friends of my grand daughters had a blast. Kids love animals....but so dont the parents and grand parents :-) I have to tell you Im in love with the double humped camels.....soooooo sweet

This monkey is as big as a 12 inch action figure. I'm not kidding.

The Lupa Zoo is a small zoo and is not cheap but it is really close to the five college aria and has American animals. I like it because it has a lot of peaceful animals as well as ones that are usually considered food or pests. The zoo is being improved. The last time I was there I did not see some of my favorite animals but there are usually bison, yaks, bulls, deer as well as bears, cat etc. I wish the food was better.

When we asked if there were any other visitors we were told no one else in the past hour. Admission is a fair price for this small zoo that had plenty of animals to keep us interested for a couple of hours. It was nice to see the bobcats active and the monkey swinging around. Lots of peahens and the peacock was fun to see perched in different places. We were amazed to get a symphony of howling, yapping, barking, neighing, and other animal chatter while we were there. The staff in the Education Center was friendly, alert and readily answered our questions about the animals. If you like feeding the animals, buy a cone of food at the admissions booth to feed the hoofed animals. Careful when feeding the goats. I was taking a picture of my daughter feeding a goat and I was within reaching distance of the goat who craned its neck over the fence and swiftly chomped on the cone of food. I was startled but it was quite hilarious.

"Just a perfect day, feed the animals in the zoo" (Lou Reed)…read more The Zoo hosts over 225 animals, many of which are "non-releasable to the wild" due to injury, illness, permanent disability, etc. I loved the way that each exhibit has a photo of the animals, their story, and the name they are known by at the zoo. Some of the names are fairly common, like Cicero the Parrot, Thelma the alligator, and Spider Monkeys Zoey and Amy. There is a gigantic tortoise, very aptly named Goliath. He was a surrendered pet, so I can only wonder how big Goliath was when his owner decided to turn him over to the zoo. But some of the names are hysterical, like the two owls named Clint Screechwood and Jean-Clawed Von Damme. The zoo has a very easy design to navigate, you more or less follow a path that brings you back to the main entrance. I loved the way you can get very close to the animals. Most of them are in enclosed in a heavy "chicken wire" like surrounding so you can get super close. Some animals are in low-fenced pens, so you have some great photo and/or feeding opportunities as long as you purchase a feed cone from the zoo. We saw a lot of happy kids feeding the goats, mules, horses, etc. it's certainly not the biggest zoo we've ever seen, and we didn't see too many large animals like elephants, but we did see a camel! By the way, Forest Park is beautiful, and I need to go back and explore it at length.

Operation and maintenance are dependent upon the trust fund, visitor fees, grants, and gifts. The park contains a number of notable features including walking paths, an outdoor amphitheater, tennis courts, baseball and softball diamonds, a miniature golf course, paddle boats, playscapes, a spray park, a wildlife center, a sweet shoppe, covered picnic areas, covered bridges, and a miniature railway. I recently visited Look Memorial Park with my family. I first visited the park last summer with my older son. We had so much fun that we decided to return this year with my wife and younger son. We first set out to visit the park's 5,000-square-foot spray park. It was a hot day and my two sons had a blast exploring the various ground jets, bucket dumps and water umbrellas. After a change of clothes, we explored one of the playscapes and the wildlife center. What we were most looking forward to was a ride on the park's miniature steamer train. Manufactured by Wichita, Kansas-based Chance Rides, the miniature train is a replica of the circa-1863 C.P. Huntington steam locomotive. The train runs every half hour on the weekends and rides last about 10 minutes. The train is transformed into 'Santa's Train' during the Christmas holiday season and it can also be rented for birthday parties. The train ride was easily the highlight of our park visit. We look forward to visiting Look Memorial Park again and again!

I wish management would be more proactive about notifying incoming guests that many park services are closed before paying to get in. We also went to the sweet shop to get root beer floats, and paid $11 for two root beer floats that were actually half full. I would recommend the place for people looking to enjoy the scenery, but apart from that the experience was lacking.

First visit, I got there around 4:40 and they were closing at 5; it was a short trip because I just wanted to get some eggs. The employee said they were closing soon and so was the petting zoo when I first walked in; I mentioned I was going to be quick and just wanted to get some eggs. I didn't know they had a petting zoo so I made a plan to go back again another time. The store was your typical farm stand, they had eggs, honey, cookies, apparel, and various of other knick knacks. They were having a sale, buy one dozens eggs ($7) and get one dozen free. The chickens were laying too many eggs and they wanted to get rid of as many as possible. The second time, I got in earlier in the day and purchased petting zoo tickets; $8 per person over 2 years old/under 80 years old and for an additional $2, you can purchase feed. I highly recommend getting the feed, the animals loved it. The petting zoo was bigger than I thought. There's even a playground with benches and picnic tables. The place seemed clean and the animals seem well taken care of. We saw pigs, llamas (my favorite), sheep, goats, alpacas, peacocks, cows, ponies (another favorite), donkeys, bunnies, chickens, and a black cat.Inside the shop, there were baby chicks, birds, and guinea pigs. There were signs explaining what type of animals, facts, and their story/names throughout. They also offer pony and tractor rides for an additional fee. There's a huge pavilion with picnic tables; you can bring your own food in. Also, there is an Airbnb onsite and people book their weddings there. There are many events hosted there as well; children programs and summer camps are popular ones. My kids and I had a blast petting and feeding the animals. I highly recommend!

For our family, it came out to around $55, and for a 2-year-old, there wasn't a lot to engage with at this age. Many of the exhibits are better suited for older children who can read, explore independently, and understand the science concepts. Both the planetarium and the train ride require an additional fee beyond admission. My toddler enjoyed the train and we thought the planetarium was nicely done, but it would've been nice if there was an option to just purchase tickets for those experiences instead of paying full admission. We were excited to see the mountain lions, but learned they're often resting high up and out of view. It was a little disappointing since that's one of the main animal exhibits. The bubble exhibit was also not functioning properly during our visit. Overall, the grounds are nice and I can see older kids having a great time exploring all the exhibits. For families with toddlers, though, the value just isn't quite there. I'd recommend this more for kids 4-5 and up who can really interact with and appreciate the exhibits.
