But I was still charged for his time! Then they ended up racing through our job and damaged several pieces of furniture. When I pointed out an obvious scratch and chip in the finish on my dining room table, they started making all sorts of excuses about how they didn't do it but it was obvious they did. I had eaten breakfast at that table that morning and it was perfect. They then continued to complain about how they didn't do the damage the rest of the time instead of focusing on the job. As we are moving boxes and unpacking, we have discovered multiple pieces of furniture that have been damaged and marred by their carelessness, including an irreplaceable dresser I inherited from my grandfather. We will never use this service again. We wish we had paid more and gotten real, responsible movers! We have continued to find damage as we unpack. These guys damaged almost every piece of furniture they touched. There are also gouges in our freshly painted walls. Help ignored our emails reporting this. We Look elsewhere!

This was a "half-move" -- we were moving from our temporary residence back into our home after a renovation, so we only had about a 15' U-Haul worth of stuff. This was just about perfect for Man with a Van. But the best part was the employees (I wish I had asked their names, but moving day left me scatterbrained) -- they were efficient, attentive, really went the extra effort in getting our stuff safely into our house, quickly disassembling a few pieces that were now too large to fit into our new doors (I got them out, and never thought there'd be such trouble getting them back in). I'd say combine that great service with the competitive pricing, and this is the company for your move assist/small move/hauling project. Just really great guys who, in my mind, made some magic happen on a really stressful day.

We just finished our first day of driving a 15 ft box-truck to Texas which Alfredo loaded and secured; nothing shifted across 200miles! I got the feeling that no matter what we might need done, Alfredo would have had a solution, or have called someone who could help. GoGetters turned out to be an outstanding small company. I needed assistance in March 2014 in…read moreremoving my old California king bed and installing my new queen one. The new one had been delivered the day before but the company did not set it up. I contacted GoGetters and they took my old one to the dump--and charged me just the $7 that the dump charged them--and then returned to remove the bed (mattress, foundation and frame) from their packaging, set up the frame, put the foundation and mattress on it, show me how to lock and unlock the wheels, place it where I wanted, then cut up the boxes and place them outside for recycling. The charge of $25 per hour per man (I had two men) and all of the work they did came to a mere $100. They were exactly on time, called before coming, and were efficient, hardworking, neat, polite, respectful, and thoroughly honest. It is sadly rare these days to come across such incredible help for a reasonable price. I give them my highest recommendation. The best thing about them is their range of services. You can bet I will be using them again and again.
