Hot foods, like chicken, burgers, spaghetti.

Pretty much your only sane option for lunch during jury duty here (unless you thought ahead and brought your own). Food is decent, I got a chicken salad croissant sandwich. They also have coffee, candy, chips, and cookies to cheer you up while you wait forever for the gears of justice to turn. The place is understaffed but the 2 people working today were very friendly and blazed through a bunch of orders.

    Cheeseburger and Fries.

Order in the court! I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, I said. And I did. Technically the food was the only thing on trial, but it's still a bit strange to have a meal in this somewhat unusual atmosphere. You don't have to be involved with a court case to eat at Lunchstop Cafeteria, although it would make most sense if you are. That said, the meager dining options in this middle-of-nowhere part of town ensure that people will wander in from nearby office buildings. There's an undeniable mixture of boredom and seriousness in the air, and meanwhile, standard fare cafeteria food is kind of just there. You might even call it impartial. But now that I've gotten a few weak puns out of my system, let's talk about what you can put into your belly! There's a hot menu with burgers, turkey burgers, tuna melts, and a deli menu with typical sandwiches on rye, wheat, or whatever type of bread your stomach desires. Despite facing a long line, the staff remained upbeat and pleased to serve, and I was able to order my food and pay for it at the register in short time. Back to the burger, the patty was a little thin which resulted in a very well-done burger, although to be fair, I didn't specify how I wanted it cooked. The bun was fresh, you get lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle, and the generous portion of fries was hot out of the frier. The phrase "nothing special" comes to mind, but this meal filled me up and didn't cost much -- about seven dollars with a Dr. Pepper. If that's all you're looking for in a lunch, and you happen to be in the area or visiting a friend, I'd say go for it! There really isn't much else going on around here, and Lunchstop is genuine service with a smile.

A cafeteria with a Mission Statement!

The folded egg sandwich is phenomenal, but the real game-changer is adding their house-made turkey sausage. I tried it once, and now it's hard to order anything else. It's packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. The pastries are just as impressive. I had a seasonal peach Danish that was incredible, and the peach monkey bread with vanilla glaze was absolutely out of this world. Thankfully I had a couple of people to share it with, because otherwise I probably would've eaten the whole thing myself. The coffee is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is warm and tucked away from the hustle, and you can tell they care about every detail. One thing many people may not realize is that their brioche buns are so good they're featured at other popular neighborhood restaurants. Great food. Great coffee. Great people. Every visit reminds me why this place has earned a permanent spot on my list. If you're anywhere near Inglewood, do yourself a favor and stop by. You'll probably be planning your next visit before you leave.

The location was clean, but I did notice the ripped up chairs that we sat in at the tall tables near the door. Customer Service was very good. The young lady was very nice. She seemed to be a little overwhelmed, working all of the tables on the inside and the outside. After we had been there about 20 minutes, a second person was assisting, but most of the responsibilities were on our server. Therefore things were a little bit slow. I ordered the veggie omelette. My husband ordered the bully omelette. I ordered grits. He ordered potatoes. The grits were smooth, creamy and buttery. I would definitely order them again. My omelette was ok. My husband said the same thing about his omelette. The potatoes however, looked like frozen potatoes and they were not seasoned well. When you come out to breakfast for $18 a plate you expect fresh potatoes. We both ordered the sourdough toast. It took a long time for them to bring out the toast. We had finished half our meal and had requested toast twice before we received our overcooked, very hard and crunchy burnt sourdough toast. I did bring the toast issue to the attention of our server and she offered to make more. Because it was so late into our meal we just declined. My husband, he said he would not be back. For me, I'll come back and get a bowl of grits to go since I work nearby. My coworker comes here all the time and says sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss. I would agree.

The mural on the wall is a gorgeous depiction of LA, the vibe inside is warm and inviting. Coffee first: it was soooo good. They had decaf espresso, which was such a fun surprise, and I got an oatmilk hazelnut latte that honestly beat most coffee shops I've been to. Food was a hit across the board. My daughter got the sausage breakfast burrito, huge portion and she loved it. My son had the lox bagel, beautifully presented, and he really enjoyed it (kind of made me wish I'd ordered that instead). My wife had the chilaquiles with chorizo, perfect portion size, she scarfed the whole thing down and topped it off with a michelada she loved. I got the chorizo and eggs, and the beans were the surprise star of the plate. The owners were friendly and welcoming too. This place deserves way more business.
