Super cute concept. Love all the art that went into creating the space! The food itself was good I would get it again if I was in the mood and in the area but I wouldn't really go out of my way for it. We had the "Butt Kickin' Chicken" and a "Mamma Mia" and both were good. The cookie was super good and I absolutely will be thinking about it. Service was nice :)

The gobbler on gluten free bread

Really great, fresh sandwiches. I had the Gobbler on gluten free bread and added bacon. The staff was great about my gluten allergy and assured me it was prepared in a separate area without me even asking. They did forget the pickles I had asked for but no big deal! Good ratio of meat, cheese, veggies, and mayo. Would come back.

Was taking a walk with my friend and we wanted to stop for lunch and stumbled upon lunch heroes! We thought the place looks colorful and fun so we decided to try it! The inside is super hero themed and had comics on the walls which was pretty cool. While they do have some indoor seating They have a few small tables outside so we sat outside since the weather was so nice! I got the 6inch mama Mia which was a great sandwich! First off the sandwich was really large and much bigger than I expected. It was great the bread was fresh and not dry or too crumbly like some can be, the condiments weren't too much or little and the meats were stacked high! I feel the cost was worth the sandwhich! The service was great the girl working the counter was very sweet and helpful! The guy that ended up bringing out our order was super nice and ran back into grab something else we requested. Overall a good place for lunch!

The owners and staff at Lunch Heroes are so nice and most importantly amazing public servants. They more than regularly donate meals to people in need throughout the Chicago community. They also are near DePaul so they hire students to work there as well. I have been here twice and really like the sandwiches. I like to take it home and add my own oil and vinegar. The inside of the business is always clean and has some seating as well. If I'm ever in the mood for a big sandwich I go here because I want to support local!

Butt Kickin' Chicken - unique, but bland chicken salad sandwich

I appreciate the idea behind this deli - or what I think it is - which they donate either funds or sandwiches to local schools. As for the sandwiches? I found them to be just ok. I got the chicken salad sandwich and while the salad itself had a unique, fresh flavor, I found out to be pretty bland. If you're looking to eat inside, The seating and space is quite small, and the seeing isn't comfortable (think patio chairs and the tiny patio table). Outside seating is bit more spacious, but same seating. Overall, my visit was just a lackluster experience.

What a great little find. The owner, Claire, was so awesome. Friendly, kind and they make sandwiches for charity every single day. Besides being great human the sandwich was amazing. Tons of meat and toppings, very fresh and delicious. The ambience of it was whimsical and inviting. What a great addition to the neighborhood. I'll certainly be back.

The gobbler and mamma Mia are our favorites, they are so good every time! Plus our dog loves their meat treats.

There's so much I can say about this place, it is truly amazing!! The staff here is incredibly nice and the food man oh man it is good! I love this place , I travel all the way from the South Loop just to eat here! The vibe inside is so welcoming! 10/10

Butt Kickin' Chicken

Came to try San Francisco's famous Dutch crunch bread. Let's just say it did not disappoint. The store has a fun superhero theme, but is very small. Also, the staff were so friendly. Went with the butt kickin' chicken as it was calling my name. The bread was the best sandwich bread I've ever had. It was light, airy, and fluffy with the crunch on top providing a great textural contrast that didn't take away from the softness. The chicken salad wasn't too wet like a lot of places, but could have been tastier. I couldn't really taste the hot honey or Calabrian chili. Lastly, the veggies were spot on with just the right amount. I wish the bread was sold by itself as it alone will make me want to come back. And after speaking to the owner, next time I will try their sausage breakfast sandwich as it comes on an everything bagel seasoning Dutch crunch. Overall, super solid sandwich shop but a tad pricy.

We eat here at least once a week. Great sandwiches, friendliest people. Our favorites are the turkey and the tuna.

The vibes are very cute and cozy - like someone's well-decorated home. I loved all the food we ordered, except for maybe the kale salad (but I just am not a fan of kale). Would 100% revisit and want to try their pizza! FOOD RATINGS: - Mozzarella sticks (4/5): Thick and perfectly fried. Beautiful cheese pull! A heavy started but so good you have to try them. - Fried zucchini chips (3/5): Not my favorite breading but not bad. The aioli is unique. - Kale caesar salad (2/5): Not a bad salad, just not my favorite. I prefer a creamy, classic caesar dressing and this one is a vinaigrette-style! It's good but more grassy overall if that makes sense. You gotta love kale haha. - Chicken piccata (5/5): One of the best I've ever had at a restaurant! Perfect sauce, extremely tender and juicy chicken breast. Thickness was ideal. Everything about this was so good, and it paired pretty well with our vodka pasta. - Vodka pasta (5/5): LOVE the pasta shape for this sauce. Had a little kick to it (as it should). I couldn't stop eating this. Generous portion as well - ideal for sharing.

It was tasty but lacking enough of the red sauce. The bubbly waitress brought over a little extra. Also got these fried zucchini chips with an aioli dip which were delicious! They vanished easily. The ambience was like a cozy tavern with friendly staff and a well thought out yet simple menu. Light was dim, and even for how busy it was, it was not too loud inside. Pricing is on par for Wells Street restaurants and food came out fairly quickly. I'd go back, but next time get one of their artesian or tavern flat crust pizzas.

The last time I had eaten here was in San Diego, so I was excited to enjoy their food again. I ordered the Lemon Chicken & Farro Soup, and it was so delicious that I ended up taking a bowl home to enjoy for lunch later in the week. For lunch, I also ordered the Fajita Steak Salad, and while there was a delay in getting my order, the fabulous Maya apologized profusely for the wait and even sent me home with an extra cup of soup. Talk about great customer service! When my salad finally arrived, I was blown away by the portion size. It was HUGE! I could only eat so much, so I ended up taking the rest home for dinner. Between the fresh ingredients, flavorful steak, and delicious dressing, this salad was an easy five-star meal! There are so many great options on the menu that you really can't go wrong. It was savory with a nice crunch from the crispy wontons. 8.5/10. The Seasonal Goat salad was genuinely one of the best salads I've ever had. 9.5/10. Super light and refreshing, with sweetness from the Pink Lady apples and dried cranberries. It reminded me of Chick-fil-A's Market Salad, but the roasted almonds took it to another level. So satisfying and I'm already craving it again. Vibes are super casual, so this is definitely going into my rotation.
