My fiance and I had to move to Washington for work and I miss my old apartment everyday because we really fell into a routine and a comfortable spot there. If we ever needed anything Jeff and his team definitely took care of what we needed. When we get ready to go back and if it works out for us we would love to go back and live there again. Its not the fanciest place ever but it was really what we needed for the price range. The neighborhood does not always feel the safest but at least inside the apartment complex I cannot say I ever worried for my safety- if I had to complain about anything it would just be to see more cameras around the property just to be super safe in the area but not because the complex itself needed it.

The administration team was excellent -- whenever any issue came up, it was always handled quickly and professionally. I especially want to highlight Lisa. She is amazing -- kind, caring, and always ready to help. She made the whole experience even better, and I'm very grateful for all her support during my time here. I was really sad to leave this place. I also want to mention that I kept the apartment in great condition for the full two years, and I truly appreciate that they were fair and returned my full deposit. That is rare these days, especially in California, and it says a lot about the honesty and professionalism of the management. I had a very frustrating experience with the application process at Woodland House Apartments…read more Unfortunately, I received conflicting and misleading information throughout the process, which ultimately resulted in my application being denied after I followed the leasing office's instructions. I applied for a specific unit and paid an application fee as well as a $100 "holding deposit." I was not informed verbally, in the listing, or before paying that the unit would supposedly only be held for 72 hours. I only learned about this limitation later, while my application was still actively being processed. I was then told that my income was insufficient and was instructed to add a guarantor in order to proceed. Based on that instruction, another person completed an application, provided financial/credit information, and paid another application fee. After all of that, another employee told me that a guarantor could not resolve insufficient income in the first place and was primarily for issues such as credit. That left me wondering why I was instructed to have someone apply as a guarantor and pay another application fee if it could not address the stated reason for my denial. I repeatedly tried to clarify and correct these issues, but instead my application was ultimately denied. Management agreed to refund the $100 holding deposit but refused to refund either application fee and stated that they considered the matter addressed. I understand that not every applicant will qualify for an apartment. My issue is not that I was denied. My issue is how the application was handled, the contradictory information I received, and being charged additional fees after relying on instructions from the leasing staff. Based on the repeated contradictions and mishandling of my application, I have very little confidence in the leasing staff's competence or understanding of their own screening procedures. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that prospective applicants get every condition, screening requirement, holding-deposit term, and instruction in writing before paying any fees.

The building has no ramp access and stairs to access all apartments. It was a hassle moving in. All in all, it's ok. We were sold on the in unit laundry but it's a two in one, so loads will take longer to wash.
