Wonderful selection of cookware and bakeware in Paris…read more It's not a far walk from the metro station through some quaint Paris neighborhoods. The store is not huge but has a lot of selection crammed into a modest space. They have products from all over the world and all sorts of items for cooking and baking including pans of all kinds, small appliances, fondant, silicone molds, colorings, and so much more. The staff were friendly, spoke English, and seemed happy to help. It was super hot in the store, though. Check their hours as they close for an hour mid-day on Saturday. We found a few silicone mats (Silpats) for baking macarons, but be warned that the sizes are not exactly the same as those sold in the U.S., so they might not perfectly fit your baking sheets. They had the versions for bread as well (Silpans). Prices seemed quite good compared to prices paid in the U.S. probably since these particular items are made in France. This was definitely a fun place to grab a few baking items!

This place is awesome! They have so much stuff any chef or baker could need. I could have spent a…read morelot longer in the store but was with my family and we were short on time. There were so many molds and tools and everything! I only ended up getting some great pastry bags, a rose mold and a few other small things. If I had more time I would have purchased a knife or two, there are some nice ones. The store is in a perfect location. It's within walking distance from a mall and Notre-dame isn't too far. If or when I'm ever back in Paris I plan on buying a lot more. If you're in to baking or cooking don't skip this place!

Are you on your way to Ikea or Habitat to pick up basics for the home? If so, stop in your tracks…read moreand head here first. Scandilodge is full of super tasteful, practical essentials for (mostly) the bathroom - like towels, baskets, soaps, etc but they also have great, extremely affordable shelves, mirrors and seats that could find a spot anywhere in the home. The aesthetic is very streamlined, simple with a focus on bamboo. You'd find the same stuff at BHV for three times the price at least. I picked up a set of three slate grey bamboo nesting baskets to hold my kids toys. The whole set was 20€. A steal!
