If I could give a zero star rating I would!!! I have shopped this business for years. I have sent…read moremy customers, my friends, my coworkers, chefs, and restauranteurs to this business for incredible deals on factory seconds. In the past, I have only dealt with two women...an older woman and a younger woman who was there today. They have kindly individually wrapped up my boat-load of purchases. We have had nice conversations despite language issues. I haven't been in the shop since the COVID lockdowns in Paris. Today, I went with the intention to buy several items. First on my list where pizza dishes which I immediately found. Remember, everything in this store is a factory second which could mean bubbles in the glaze, rough edges, black marks in the white glaze...any consumer should carefully inspect the items whether they are purchased at a speciality shop or this store. The man storms down the aisle and starts yelling at me in French. He is mad because I am going through the dishes and I have stacked the unwanted dishes onto another stack of dishes. (Mind you this entire store is stacks of dishes inside and outside and on the floor and on the shelves!) I have worked retail almost my entire life and had every intention and have enough respect for the shopkeeper to replace the unwanted dishes back in the original stack. He yells in French that he wants me to stack the items on the floor and he moves the dishes onto the floor. I continue to look for the best pizza dish and place the unwanted dishes in his stack in the floor. Then, he aggressively rounds the corner and comes down the aisle again yelling loudly in English, "Are you going to buy one dish?!" I reply, "Yes." (Nonetheless, I had already selected several other types of dishes I had intended to buy.) He yells, "You have looked through ten dishes to buy one dish?!" (Yes because the glaze was horrible on these dishes.) Is this guy joking or is he mental? I am his only customer in the store! I replied, "Do you know how many years I have shopped here and how many customers I have sent to you?" I left everything and walked away. In English, the woman asks, "What is going on?" He then starts yelling at her in French. Without a response, she turns and walks away and starts sweeping near the register. I asked her, "Is that your husband?" She replies, "Yes." I know she recognized me. I responded, "I hope he treats you better than the way he treats your female customers." I left and I will never return. I worry about his abusive, cruel, and hostile behavior and how he treats his wife. I can say from the bottom of my heart I did nothing wrong. Pull the tapes from the many video cameras located in this store for proof. No one deserves to be treated the way this irrational man treated me. This man is in need of mental help. This seems to be "normal angry" behavior for this man. He needs professional help controlling his anger and whatever is going on in his life. I didn't deserve this and he really owed me an apology. If the two women continue to let him work in that store, the business will deservingly fail. I will never go back and I will never recommended this store to anyone!! I will pay full-price in the retail stores in Les Halles and get the service and respect that I deserve.

This is a restaurant supply shop that houses endless, unique, white Limoges porcelain. It's…read moreridiculously inexpensive and the perfect place to find souvenirs and gifts. I've found Apilco there, which is also sold at Williams Sonoma. The shop keepers are aloof but respectful. They have three floors and there's so much to see. The top floor is kind of goofy with weird offerings. It's still fun to look. Some favorites I bring back are cow, elephant and other animal cream pitchers. They have adorable single cow creamers for €1. I have gotten several terrines there. One I didn't get, but was fantastic, was shaped like a turtle. They take credit cards and I always bring a super large bag because, occasionally, they'll only give me one bag, even though it seems I need two. Quirkiness but who cares? If you care about marks make sure you check the bottom of everything. Some are marked and others aren't. You'll be sad if you're a Francophile and miss this place. Close to the Catacombs. I prefer porcelain to bones.
