There's a kid store with neat toys and trinkets, one that specializes in home goods like pottery and tableware, one that has clothing, bags, posters, and jewelry and the big Fleux store that has a bit of everything ranging from furniture, earrings, mugs, clocks, books, and plants. It reminds me of Pigment in San Diego having a baby with a quirky pier one back in the day. I picked up a cup, lotion, and a poster from 3 different stores and would've loved to bring a clock and light fixture back to the states with me.

You can find something you totally need, or totally don't need, or something a friend might enjoy, and enjoy doing the shopping at the same time. They packed up my purchases, and knives, securely in paper, and they fit nicely in my suitcase. My sherpa was convinced it could be found at Le Comptoir de Famille, which had an outpost near my hotel in Saint Germain des Pres. Though the label was slightly different, one sniff confirmed that her hunch was correct. It would be easy to spend a while in this store just looking around. There were quite a few items I wanted and if I wouldn't have had to keep it with me for the rest of the trip, I would have picked up a few items. The associates in the store were pleasant and greeted us, they didn't bother us while we browsed and thought of the items we wanted. The store has two main rooms and doesn't feel cluttered or cramped. I would definitely return and would recommend as a stop for any foodie.
