I stopped by here yesterday for takeout with my in-laws. We were looking for a place to get dinner that evening when we found Luna Grill nearby and decided it sounded good. This location is in a strip mall, and while the inside felt tiny, it also had a massive outdoor seating area that looked nice. Aside from the tables, there was a small counter to order at, and you could see a bit of the kitchen behind it. While I was in the restaurant, the smell of garlic was quite strong, and I was excited to try the food. We ordered online through their website and scheduled our order for 6 PM. When I arrived at 5:50 PM, it wasn't ready yet, which was my fault for arriving early. In any case, it was eventually ready at 5:57, which worked out perfectly for me. For dinner, I went with the roasted garlic lemon chicken and gyro meat plate, and my wife chose the same. My in-laws chose the salmon Santorini bowl and the Lunatic Sampler. For my sides, I went with the spicy harissa hummus and kale cabbage medley, and I chose the garlic feta sauce. My dinner here ended up being quite good, with my favorite part being the gyro meat, which was nicely seasoned. I also liked the flavor of the garlic lemon chicken, but I thought my chicken was a little overcooked and therefore a bit rubbery. So while the flavor was good, the texture let it down. My spicy harissa hummus was absolutely delicious, as I loved the combination of creamy hummus and quite spicy harissa. I also enjoyed the garlic feta sauce, which started with a nice pop of garlic before that strong feta flavor came through. Last but not least was the kale cabbage medley, which served as the base. Flavor-wise, it was just meh, which was probably to be expected, but I did love how it made the dish feel much healthier. My wife ended up liking the garlic chicken more than I did and finished all of hers, while leaving a few pieces of gyro meat behind. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While it seemed like they were pushing their garlic lemon chicken, I can't say I was too impressed with mine. The website for Luna Grill was easy to order a pick up item and the store location had a huge parking lot so parking was easy to find. The food was not as good as I remembered it to be or the quality and taste just wasn't there. The chicken kabobs were flavorless and gyro meat was very salty which made it hard to digest. The salad options were plentiful and nice to mix up. The service was quick and the food took about 20 minutes to be ready for pickup. I went here recently since I was nearby and hungry. I ordered on the app to pick up and take home. I got there probably about 15 minutes after ordering, expecting to still wait a little longer for my order. When I arrived the restaurant wasn't busy with people maybe like 3 families out on the patio and 2 others waiting inside for their orders. But the employees were busy. i went to use the restroom after noticing they were busy and no toilet paper in the restrooms. So I went to tell and couldn't get the attention of one. Then another used the restroom and same came out waiting to tell an employee but couldn't get the attention. At this point I still haven't even been acknowledged or greeted. So after about 12 minutes of me standing at the counter I asked if they could see if my order is ready. It wasn't so I sat down. I noticed 2 others coming in the restaurant and same- no greeting and waited a good 5-8 minutes until they were able to catch the attention of an employee to take their order. Customers were patient, but to not be greeted or told "be with you in a moment" was odd. Yes they were busy preparing orders, but there should still be the courtesy of noticing who is coming in and out of the restaurant. Even for safety concerns. read more

His parents work from home, so I like to keep him out as much as possible and he and I both love Luna grill. The restaurant is very clean and the food is fresh, healthy, and delicious. I often share an adult item with him, but they do have great kids meal choices a well. One of the other reasons I frequent Luna grill is because all the staff are helpful and friendly. Super disappointed with this Luna, I usually go to the one in mission valley but I was around the area and decided to get me a bowl for my lunch the following day. Right away entering the building I should have known to walk back out. The guest experience was not pleasant, cashier looked to be over her day and made me instantly regret really being there. But still ordered since I'm already there and I was looking forward to my lunch hoping that the bowl will make up for the experience. Sadly that was not the case :( bowl was so light presentation was extremely sloppy. Really sad that the consistency is not across all Lunas.
