First impressions are everything. And this was not great. The portions made me sad. For a little less than $14, the picture is what I got. This is the pricing for ground sirloin kabob and chicken. You have to choose between salad or hummus. I'm from SFV and there are a ton of Mediterranean and middle eastern cuisines that serve more for less. SFV is in the LA area and considerably more expensive than Oxnard, so I don't understand the pricing. The thing that rly messed it up for me is the lady who took my order. She said was on the older side, with short hair. She was very rude-- my friend brought it up afterwards without even me mentioning it so I took that as validation that it wasn't in my head. All I did was ask whether the hummus came with the salad, and I received a very annoyed response. The couple they served after, apparently were god's angels because my friend noticed that the cashier was smiling and being so nice, no hint of annoyance! Lastly, I waited for 15-20 min which is fine but I noticed they weren't calling my name, so I went up to inquire about my order. Another lady (not the same one, this person was actually very sweet) gave me a bag that had actually been sitting there for the past 5 min already. No one had bothered to tell me it was ready. I was just in the back of the store waiting and looking right at them the whole time. Honestly, I still found the food to be delicious so don't get that part wrong and I can even understand if prices are expensive. It's a pandemic so it's tough on everyone-- totally get it!! Please go if you like it. However, my personal experience was so terrible, I can't go back. I'm only one customer, and according to them I don't really matter, so all is good I guess. read more

We ordered two Gyro Pita wraps, no water and it was just under $20. The bathroom was clean which I appreciate. Also the restaurant was very ADA accommodating and made it easier to push my grandmother in her wheelchair. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and The Collections was very busy so it was perfect for people watching. The staff was nice and brought the food to us outside. The food took about 15 minutes and the fries where crispy but a little over salted. The gyro was a little dry even with the added sauce. Not sure why they changed her the sauce into a chipotle sauce, I prefer the original. I would call Luna Grill more on the upper side of fast food, not authentic Mediterranean food. Can be a good place to start as an intro to that type of food. read more

I'm actually not a huge fan of Mediterranean food, however the menu here is actually quite diverse. I appreciate the variety of choices..they even have a beyond burger on the menu! I got the Kale salad. I've had Kale salads at many different places, and usually it's some kale tossed into a bed of cabbage, lettuce, etc. This is a REAL Kale salad - the only greens are actual Kale. The dressing was nice and light, and the figs and grapes balanced out the acidity of the Kale. It was one of the best Kale salads I've ever had. I came to visit this Luna Grill and upon my arrival, I could tell this place would be good! The restaurant smelled delicious, the floors were clean, and the presentation and atmosphere were overall positive! The counter was clear and the menu options are easy to read. All the options from the falafels to the signature kabob plates looked very appetizing to me. It is/was a lot to offer, especially for a first time, but luckily the staff present were super friendly and eager to help. Speaking of help, Stephanie was there to greet me with such a delightful and pleasant demeanor, she was so kind to take my order and recommended the Loaded Fries with the Gyro meat, which actually came out to be MUCH better than expected! As soon as she rang me up, it was 5 star service non-stop! Every five to ten minutes she came up to check on how I was doing and every time made me feel acknowledged. The only reason for giving 4 stars and not 5 is because the food was warm (not hot) guess when you order takeout or delivery that's going to be a possibility. Perfectly grilled and tender! Their rice is also amazing!! Light, fluffy... Love the tziki sauce! Not enough though... 1.5 oz. For the amount of food you get, the sauce containers could stand to be larger. I think providing a 3oz sauce of choice to come with each plate is fair? This is a $17.00 plate of food, don't think I should have to pay almost a dollar for another 1.5oz? My husband liked his gyro meat plate but he loved my chicken way more! With that said, definitely get the chicken and pay a little more for the flat cut!! Everything is wonderfully seasoned! Great flavors!
